Chapter 78: Happier

A Warehouse Full of Memories || BTS x ReaderWords: 22550

Jeon Jungkook

The married life with Jungkook has been treating you well even though it's only been a day since the wedding. It all went by so fast, but it was easily one of the greatest days of your life. The wedding was an intimate one with all your closest friends and family. The furthest it branched off to were the siblings of the boys. A lot of the younger ones got along well with each other. Some of the boys questioned how they never tried to make their siblings friends before. That seemed to be a new project for them to work on. Your older sister talked with Yeona a bit, but she spent a majority of the night with her fiancé. You're excited for when she finally marries Hyungseong. They look cute together!

Clearly, not as cute as Jungkook and you. That was a given. Jungkook adored you, sometimes more than you thought was humanly possible. You weren't anything special but he always insisted you were. Then again you're his first love and his last as he so romantically says. He did steal your first kiss and fought Jimin for you after all. Those memories were still interesting to think about. Ones that you decided to shove under a rug because you also fought a girl for Jungkook. Sort of. She thought the two of you were dating or at least had a thing going on. Well, she was a couple years early on that fight. It's fine though. You continue to win it anyway.

Jungkook and you were currently on a plane over to Jeju for your honeymoon. The two of you were so excited. Honestly, you've been looking forward to this since the moment your booked the flight. You handled everything when it came to the honeymoon. The hotel, the location, the plane tickets. The list could go on. You made sure to look up couple activities that would be available near the hotel. Just some fun things for Jungkook and you to do for the week that you're there. You know Jungkook prefers to stay inside if he's in a new area or not surrounded by people he knows, but you trust that he'll come along with you to try scuba diving, wine tasting, or a cute café nearby. This was your time to be alone with him! No interruptions!

He complained a lot about that when it came to your wedding. Despite him being the one to marry you, the boys kept pulling you away from him when it came to dancing. It also didn't sit to well when Yoongi drunkenly admitted he had feelings for you but was going to forget about them and focus on himself. He told you that while he was at the bar towards the middle of the night. You were shocked at first. That didn't stop you from hugging him and telling Yoongi that his own well being was more important. Apparently Jungkook didn't appreciate the hug though after the kiss on the cheek during the dance. At least Jungkook didn't quite catch the first part. You don't really know how that would have gone down. Sometimes your husband could have his fair bursts of jealousy and anger.

Today he was calm though. How could he not be? The two of you barely landed at the airport, ready to tackle on the first day of the honeymoon. You never felt more prepared for anything! It's been a busy day since the moment you woke up. Jungkook shoved the luggage into Seokjin's truck and you made sure that nothing was forgotten. Seokjin dropped the two of you off at the airport very early in the morning. From there, Jungkook latched onto you in the busy airport. He refused to leave your side which proved to be problematic when you wanted to go to the bathroom. Jungkook really couldn't stand how many people there were, but soon fell asleep on the plane ride. At that point things were easier for the both of you.

You handled a lot of the talking while sleepy Jungkook held your hand through the airport. He didn't properly wake up until the two of you were in a taxi. The first stop would be to check into the hotel, drop your things off, and then explore what Jeju has to offer! It was barely the afternoon and the sun was already making everything down here so hot. The air was humid, making Jungkook desperate for air conditioning. He didn't want to get out of the taxi but you promised the hotel would feel nice. Jungkook thankfully cooperated and went inside the hotel with you. You checked into the room, the two of you finally arriving to the room with a perfect view of the ocean.

"Finally!!" Jungkook dropped the bags at the entrance, running over to the bed. He jumped on it with relief even though he completely ruined the romantic effort the staff put into the room. The rose petals that had perfectly decorated the bed in a heart shape were now scattered all over the ground with a few still on the bed. You sighed, dragging the luggage yourself towards the corner of the room.

"Now that we're finally here, what are we going to do?" You put your hands on your hips, giving Jungkook a smile. The male turned over on the bed to stare at the ceiling. He hummed for a bit before shifting his eyes over to you, a big smile on his face.

"I vote for ordering room service, watching a movie, and then..." Jungkook laid on his side, dramatically dragging his fingers across the bed. "Well, you know." He wiggled his brows as you held in the urge to face palm. Instead, a giggle left you which seemed to upset him. "What? What did I say that was funny?"

"Nothing." You smiled, grabbing a petal and flicking it towards his face. The rose petal landed on his nose, forcing Jungkook to cross his eyes just to look at it. He soon shook it off as he sat up.

"So what do you say? A nice night in and then..." Jungkook proceeded to pat his belt.

"Just say sex, Jungkook." You laughed at him. That got your husband's face to turn pink right away. Now he was embarrassed? Jungkook cleared his throat, shrugging as he played with the few petals on the bed.

"I just wanted to be a little mysterious," He said as you shook your head. Mysterious? That wasn't really the way you wanted to go about this.

Of course, Jungkook and you would get to that stuff later though. Right now you wanted to enjoy strolling along the beach with him. Talking as the two of you eat ice cream or splash at each other in the water. There were so many things to do outside of this hotel! His answer earlier was expected though. He wanted to stay in this hotel room with you and you weren't sure if it was because he like staying in or wanted to get to the dirty business immediately. You had multiple thoughts on why he was saying that. You know that Taehyung and Namjoon were hyping up Jungkook a little too much for your liking about the honeymoon. It looked like Taehyung passed a condom into Jungkook's hand, pretending it was a handshake and then wishing Jungkook luck on the honeymoon. What the hell was all that?

Jungkook got a huge ego from that. You weren't going to give him anything yet. The daytime was for the two of you to spend together. Nighttime activities can wait. Besides, Jungkook and you have barely been here for an hour. Now that you were finally out of that cramped plane, you were ready for some fun before it gets to be too late. You walked over to sit on the bed with Jungkook, giving him a hopeful smile. Jungkook slowly smiled back at you. He was sticking with the answer he gave you originally it seems. A soft sigh left you as you figured how to say this.

"Jungkook...we're not staying in on our first night in Jeju," You said to see his eyes widen. His brows knitted together, not believing what you were saying. "Come on, Kookie. We didn't come all this way just to stay locked up inside. Don't you want to take a breath of fresh air?"

You pointed at the window of hopes that it would motivate him. Look at that view! How could that not make him want to go experience it in person? The beautiful shade of blue of the ocean against the soft looking sand. The beach wasn't crowded either and there were a lot of shops down there. It'd be nice to take a look, wouldn't it? Jungkook slowly turned his head as he returned his attention to you. His smile was weak to your dismay. That's all it took to make your smile shrink as well. Did he really not want to go out at all? The high energy from the atmosphere died down as the two of you just stared at each other. This wasn't going exactly like you had planned.

"Do you really not want to go out?" You frowned.

"Maybe another day...I don't know, (F/n). I'm tired from the plane ride. Aren't you tired?" Jungkook spoke at a quick pace. It was clear he was moving subjects to avoid touching the truth.

"You won't be alone. You have me!" You grabbed his hand, holding it tightly. "The beach isn't too crowded either, Jungkook. Let's go out at least once today. Please?"

"You can go out if you want." Jungkook shrugged. He removed his hand from yours, grabbing the TV remote as he took another glance at you. "Or we can just cuddle here. Doesn't that sound fun?" Jungkook patted the spot next to him, the sound of a random movie now playing in the background.

It was hard to describe how you were feeling. It was a mixture of a lot of things. None of it really went anywhere though. There wasn't much you could say since you knew Jungkook's limits. It'd be wrong of you to try and push him. So you ended up crawling in the spot where he wanted you and cuddling like he wanted. Jungkook grinned, putting his arm around you as he flipped through the channels. He promised to find something good to watch. Then once you were hungry, room service would be the way to go. He was already craving steak and liked the idea of wine for the night. That did sound nice. You silently agreed, doing your best to ignore the disappointment you felt. Maybe the two of you can go out another day like he said. You have a week here after all.

Though after a few hours of watching movies with Jungkook, you began to realize that you would rather just go home. What was the point of coming here if he wanted to just watch movies with you? The two of you could have spent your time together at home. It was a frustrating thought you were battling. Jungkook was enjoying himself a lot. He laughed whenever there was a joke and he enjoyed having you in his arms. You liked the kisses he would place on your head randomly. That just didn't stop you from feeling a little downer than you originally anticipated from staying inside. After three movies, you just had to excuse yourself to the bathroom.

There was no real reason for you to be in there. You just needed a moment to tell yourself privately to suck it up. That's all you needed to do. Stepping inside the white bathroom, you shut the door and rushed over to the mirror. Time to scold yourself! Just as you were about to, you felt your phone buzz in your pocket. You had forgotten to take it out. Who would be messaging you during your honeymoon? Pulling out your phone, you smiled to see it was just a late text from Seokjin hoping the two of you arrived safely. You quickly texted him back that the two of you were in the hotel together watching a movie. Sighing to yourself, you were going to put your phone away when you saw that Seokjin was now calling you.

"Seokjin?" You answered, blinking at your reflection out of pure confusion. "Is something wr—?"

"Yes! What the hell is that little sh*t doing with you!?" Seokjin shouted too loud for your liking. You had to pull your phone farther from your ear due to his volume. "Watching a movie? WATCHING A MOVIE!?"

"I-It's okay, Oppa." You hoped that would get him to settle down. Nope. Seokjin appeared to be fired up the moment he read that text. He couldn't calm down as his voice went high and he ranted about your husband who was just outside the bathroom. Nervously chewing on your bottom lip, you turned on the water in hopes of that hiding your voice when you spoke to Seokjin. You didn't want Jungkook getting worried.

"It's not okay, (F/n)! That little sh*t who I love very much is supposed to be out there playing in the sand with you!" Seokjin growled. It sounded like he was pounding his fists against a table from over the phone. Walking over to the toilet, you sat down on the lid as you listened to Seokjin's endless rant. "A honeymoon is a precious moment for two lovers and there goes that idiot! You know, I told you not to marry him for a reason! He pulls this sh*t and it's not acceptable! I know how Kookie prefers to be inside, but you have to be like Jimin and drag him to places! There might be some light complaining at first but then he'll enjoy himself!"

"Oppa, he gets nervous sometimes," You tried to explain. That only got a loud laugh out from Seokjin. It was clearly faked and lasting longer than what was comfortable.

"I might just fly over there to slap him in the face!" Seokjin remarked. That unfortunately got you to laugh. His little threat got you caught as Jungkook knocked against the bathroom door.

"(F/n)? Are you okay? You've been in there for a while," Jungkook stated.

"Is that Jungkook? Pass the phone! I have to give the b*tch a piece of my mind. This is why you should have stuck with the promise and married me, (F/n)!" Seokjin yelled while you only shook your head at his nonsense. Jungkook was starting to knock louder as you panicked.

"I have to go, Oppa." You attempted to hurry the conversation only for Jungkook to barge in. His expression was filled with concern until he heard what you had to say. The look of guilt didn't help your case either. Suddenly Jungkook's worry flashed into a look of rage. He shut off the water, marching over to rip your phone from your hand. "Jungkook—"

"Shut it." Jungkook hissed, bringing the phone up to his ear. "Listen here, Oppa. She's f*cking married and the minute I find out who you are, I'm going to kill you."

"I'd like to see you try," Seokjin responded as Jungkook's brows leaped up. He turned to you in confusion, holding the phone tighter than before.

"H-Hyung...are you and (F/n)—?"

"No! I was just telling (F/n) how she should be out enjoying her honeymoon but then only hearing her defend your pathetic @ss. Suck it up, JK. Take the woman out for dinner or else," Seokjin spoke lowly. Jungkook froze in his spot as he glanced over at you. You were staring down at the bathroom floor with a frown. It suddenly hit him that he couldn't just force you to do what he wanted all the time. Now he felt bad. Though he originally intended to tell Seokjin 'I'm not afraid of you, old man', he now had a change of heart. Seokjin was already threatening to call Yoongi which left Jungkook hearing enough.

"Alright, alright. Shut up." Jungkook sighed. "Just know that if I hear (F/n) call you Oppa one more time then I'm ripping your balls off."

"What did I do!?" Seokjin scoffed.

Jungkook hung up, tossing the phone onto the counter. You raised your head up to see the call had ended. Were you in trouble? Jungkook brought a hand up to his head, letting his fingers get tangled in his dark hair. He wasn't looking at you to your surprise. Jungkook was looking around the bathroom, feeling ashamed of himself. The call with Seokjin was enough to make him face reality. You hid away in the bathroom with the water running as you talked to another guy. He wasn't making you happy. Jungkook removed his hand from his hair as he reached it out towards you. Staring at his hand, you slowly looked up to meet his own eyes.

"Jungkook?"

"Let's go eat dinner outside. You choose a restaurant," Jungkook said with that cute smile of his. You blinked at him in disbelief. All it took was a conversation with Seokjin? Seokjin is like magic!

"Seriously?" You grinned as he nodded. A squeal left your lips immediately. Rather than taking his hand, you pulled him into a hug that took him by surprise. Jungkook barely had time to process when you kissed him on the lips. He stood still as you pulled away, still bouncing with energy. "Oh my God, I have to get ready!" You were all over the place, but Jungkook enjoyed seeing you so happy. He gave you one last kiss before he was inevitably kicked out of the bathroom. It was time to transform!

And transform you did. Well, you made your best attempt with makeup and the black dress that hugged your figure nicely. As soon as you stepped out of the bathroom, Jungkook sharply inhaled. He had to remind himself that the two of you were about to eat dinner. That's the entire reason he was dressed so formally himself. He looked handsome in his suit. You couldn't wait to rip him out of it later and you knew he was feeling the same way about your dress with how much he kept looking you over. It took a couple times of reminding him were your eyes were, but he was your husband and he was Jungkook. It's a bit hard denying him at times.

Jungkook held his arm out towards you for you to take. Happily wrapping your arms around his, the two of you went outside of the hotel and got a taxi to take you to a restaurant you heard a lot about. Apparently it was really popular for honeymoons. It was the perfect choice. Jungkook acted like a complete gentleman as he took you out of the taxi. It didn't take long for the two of you to be giggling and scurrying over inside the restaurant. They weren't too busy so thankfully they could seat the both of you right away. Otherwise you would have regretted the choice of not making a reservation. Everything was turning out well though. The food was good, the atmosphere was romantic, and Jungkook was with you. The two of you were enjoying a night out for the first time in a long time. He's been so busy with his internship at the game developer company that this was nice.

"I should have just left the hotel room with you from the start." Jungkook set down his glass of water. The two of you were close to finishing up your food. There was a lot of joking around earlier and a fair amount of flirting mixed in so this felt sudden.

"But we're out now, Jungkook." You reached over the table to place your hand on top of his. "That's pretty good, huh?"

"That is pretty good." Jungkook smiled widely. The cute one where his nose scrunches up and reminds you of a bunny. He owned your entire heart. You smiled softly at your husband, glad he was stubborn to make you his and keep you happy. Thank goodness he was there for you after Jimin and you broke up. You're just glad that even though you went with Jimin first, you found yourself with Jungkook. He asked you out on a date which you were reluctant to accept at first, but you did. It was the best decision you could have ever made. "You know (F/n), I really do mean what I said."

"I know that." You nodded only for him to shake his head.

"Not just about leaving the room," Jungkook explained. "Remember the promise I made to keep you happy for the rest of my life?"

"How could I forget it?" You felt butterflies in your stomach. Just hearing him mention it made you all warm and fuzzy. The love he's had for you since the beginning still made you melt into a puddle. Jungkook has always stared at you like you were his whole world from the moment the two of you were an item. The way his eyes twinkled when they stared at you. It never ceased to make you blush and have your heart racing. That was just the affect he had on you even if he insisted that you had a greater affect on him. It was always a constant 'I love you more' between the two of you.

"It came from my heart when I said it to you all those years ago back in second year. Nothing has stopped me from wanting to fulfill it. I'm going to continue to prove it and keep you happy!" Jungkook gave you a determined look. He held one hand up in a fist while the other held yours tightly in his. He wasn't going to let go any time soon. "Even if the efforts are small like with putting on this getup, taking my girl out, getting her all fed, and then when we get back to the hotel..." Jungkook did his best attempt to wink at you, but ended up just blinking.

"I can't wait." You giggled. The two of you were beaming at each other. Jungkook made sure to mentally note that he had to thank Seokjin later for all this. His hyung might be annoying sometimes, but Jungkook knew the elder had a soft spot for him. Jungkook would be lying if he said he didn't respect and care for Seokjin in return. Seokjin has had to deal with a lot from Jungkook's emotions. The most important being that he had to break up Jungkook's fight with Jimin when he first kissed you. As always that story managed to come up during the dinner. Jungkook found it hilarious while you groaned at the memory. It wasn't cute or fun when it was actually happening. At least Jungkook and Jimin could laugh about it now.

Throughout the dinner, old memories kept getting brought up. Ones about the warehouse or things that occurred between certain members of the gang. Back when they were still in a gang. Occasionally the two of you missed it, but this was for the better. As the dinner was getting closer to an end, Jungkook allowed his leg to touch yours under the table. What is he trying to do? Jungkook wiggled his brows at you, making it clear that this was his attempt to seduce you in the middle of a restaurant. You laughed but...it was working.

There was no patience in the two of you. It didn't take long for the check to be asked for and paid. A taxi was called while Jungkook was struggling to keep his hands off you. Rushing back into the hotel, Jungkook and you couldn't wait to get started. This week here is going to full of a lot of fun. In the day the two of you will go out and enjoy yourselves. Then at night, the two of you will have all the fun Jungkook wants inside. Unlocking the hotel room, you squealed when Jungkook literally slapped your @ss in the hallway. He can wait for that! The both of you were laughing, a bit tipsy from the wine the two of you drank earlier.

As soon as the two of you were inside, Jungkook slammed you against the wall. He pressed his lips on yours. He was hungry to have all of you. The feeling was incredibly mutual as you deepened the kiss. Running your hands along Jungkook's chest, you were beginning to strip him of his clothes and he did the same with you. There was a lot of hurrying and desperateness as you felt his hot breath on your skin. Jungkook lifted you as he brought you over to the bed. You thought he would have continued to act animalistic yet Jungkook took a moment to take you in. He stared at you with a smile as if he was the luckiest guy in the world. He leaned down to peck your lips gently. Though you often said you weren't anything special, Jungkook always managed to make you feel like you were in the end. He kept his promise well as he made you happier every day.
