Violet looks at me.

"You're pregnant. With Mr. Winters's child. I told you not to mess with him. Now look at you. Pregnant with his child. Do you know how valuable that baby you're carrying is? The child's future net worth is going to be richer than this entire state. Hell, this child is going to be richer than Canada!" Violet words fade as she keeps talking. Only one thing is on my mind. I'm pregnant.

"Evangeline! Are you listening to me?" I zone out and look at Violet.

"What'd you say?"

"I said, what the hell made you want to have sex with Mr. Winters?"

"It's not my fault. It was a part of the job," I see Violet roll her eyes.

"Lies," I hear Charlotte fake cough out, and I squint at her.

"What? Don't give me that look. You had it coming. You were teasing Mr. Winters like crazy! We all know he can't get enough of you. Plus, you got paid to do it, so you should have expected you were going to do it," I roll my eyes.

"Bullshit. Mr. Winters won't even have a normal relationship with me. All he wants is sex," Violet looks at me madly, not listening to a word I said.

"How much did you get paid to do it, Evangeline?" I tap my fingers together.

"Five thousand per round. Thiry five thousand total," I see Violet shocked.

"You fuck him seven times that night for thirty-five thousand?"

"I knew you had sex with him more than one time! From the noise outside the room and after eight hours, I knew you two went several times," I see Violet cross her arms.

"Charlotte, you're not helping my case," I see Charlotte roll her eyes.

"Evangeline, how many times do I have to tell you? You're a stripper, not a prostitute. A stripper doesn't fuck hot guys when they see one," I roll my eyes at Violet.

"Explain that to our new boss, Mr. Winters. His new rule is that strippers can have sex with VIP clients when commanded with a five-thousand-dollar fee," I look at Charlotte like she's crazy.

"What? It's in the group chat," I roll my eyes.

"For one, why aren't I in the group chat, and two, why the hell would he make that a new rule?" I see Charlotte shrug.

"I don't know. Probably to make more money," I roll my eyes. I see Violet look sincerely at me.

"There's only one question left. Do you want to keep this child?" I look at Violet and then at my stomach.

"You know how much it takes to take care of a child. All the money and time it takes. Mostly stress, you're going to get. All the changes that are going to happen in your life and to your body. Are you ready for all of it?" I look at Charlotte.

"I don't want to kill it," I see Violet sigh.

"There are other ways to give the baby up than to kill it. The best way is to give the baby to a social worker for adoption," I put my hand on my stomach.

"No. I can't have the child living that life. There's a little life growing inside of me. If I'm going to bring it to this world, I'm keeping it. Besides, it's not the baby's fault I made a stupid mistake," I see Violet sigh.

"I'm glad you're keeping it, but messing with Mr. Winters is a bad idea," I roll my eyes.

"What about you? Do you think messing with Dave wasn't a bad idea, either? You had two kids with him and now a third one. How's that going to go?" I see Violet start getting mad.

"I fell in love and was married to Dave for eight years. I didn't have kids with him until after I was married when I was twenty-four. What's your excuse? You decide to have sex with a complete stranger all because they're hot? I don't regret marrying Dave no matter how much of an idiot or a cheater he is. Because of him, I have two beautiful girls and one more beautiful little child on the way. No matter how hard you try, Evangeline, you can't change what you've done, and neither can I," I look at Violet sincerely.

"That's the thing though. I don't regret the time I've had with Mr. Winters."

"What if Mr. Winters doesn't want the baby?" I look at Charlotte.

"This child deserves to have a chance with, or without him," Violet and Charlotte hug me.

"I'm proud of you," I smile.

"You two are going to be pregnancy buddies!" Violet and I laugh.

"Have you thought of any names?" I chuckle.

"I don't know. I haven't really thought about having kids. What about you Violet?"

"Mark. You better think of a name soon, four months is going to hit faster than you think."

"Mark? How do you know it's going to be a boy?" I hear Violet chuckle.

"I have a gut feeling," I see Violet looking down.

"How long have you had that on there?" I look at my dirty cast.

"Maybe almost two weeks," I see a disgusted face on Violet.

"Wanna go take it off?" I chuckle.

"Hell yeah, I do!" I hear Charlotte laugh.

"About time you get that thing off. You've been walking with that thing like normal when you're supposed to be acting like it's broken," I laugh.

"It doesn't feel broken, it mostly feels normal," Violet laughs.

"Come on, I'll take you to the hospital."

"You two go ahead. I'm going to stay here and eat breakfast."

"Okay, have fun," I grab Winters's blanket, get in the car, and wait for Violet to come out. She drives us to the hospital and parks in a doctor's spot. I follow Violet into the hospital. I see Violet walk up the the front desk, and I see the guy smile at her.

"Good Morning, Dr. Whicherton. How can I help you today?"

"Hey, Sammy. Can I get a couple of nurses to help me get an X-ray room for my patient here?" I see him smile at me.

"Of course! Is this your sister you've been telling me about? She looks similar to you! I can see where she gets the good looks from," I roll my eyes, and Violet laughs.

"Well, duh. Of course, she gets the good looks from me. The oldest does pass down the genes," I hear Sam laugh and smile at Violet. That wasn't even funny.

"It seems like room three is ready for you. Have a nice day, Mrs. Whicherton."

"See you around Sammy," I see Violet smile at Sammy. I follow Violet to the back.

"You'll have to wear an apron during X-rays since you're pregnant. I wouldn't want to risk the baby," I nod, and Violet helps put the apron on me, and I lay on the metal bed.

"You know, I don't even know how to be pregnant, or to take care of a child. Should I keep exercising each morning, or will it hurt the child," I hear Violet laughing behind the wall.

"Well, for one, you should keep exercising like regular, but don't push yourself. If you stop, then your body's going to notice the change, and it's going to be bad for the baby. Quit stressing out so much about it. I'll help you through it. Plus, being pregnant is the easy part. Having the child and taking care of it is more difficult, but so rewarding. After this, we can test you to see how much medicine you need to help the child and keep you regulated. Now, hold still," I hold still as I see two flashes from the machine above.

"That should do it. Follow me to the medical room," I get off the table and follow Violet to the room. I sit on the bed as Violet closes the door. I see her put the X-rays on a glow board and look at them.

"All I see are bones," I hear Violet laugh.

"It's more complex than that," She continues to look at the X-Ray.

"So, how long have you been coming here?"

"About two years. I started volunteering here when the kids were in school, and when Dave and I divorced, I got a job here."

"Mrs. Whicherton? What the hell kind of name is that?" I hear Violet laugh.

"It's Dave's last name. I'm about to change it back to Stone soon. I remember when I was in college when Dave and I started dating, I used to write my full name with Dave's last name, dreaming of one day getting married. When he proposed, it was the best night of my life. Then, it went downhill from there," I see her continue to look at the image with no emotion.

"How do you do that?"

"Well, it's simple really. The bones each have a name and-"

"No. Not X-Raying. How do you talk about a past and not break down?" I hear her chuckle.

"I went to therapy for a year to deal with trauma. I've learned to deal with things without suppressing them," Violet walks over to me.

"I'll be back with the things I need," Violet leaves, and I look around the room. Five minutes later, she comes back with a nurse and a sharp blade-looking tool.

"Okay. So, the doctor you went to misdiagnosed you. It doesn't commonly happen, but it can. You hit your ankle which caused a partial tear in your muscle. That's why it looked swollen and bruised, but it should be mostly healed up by now. You don't need a cast for it, more of icing it down for the first twenty-four hours and wearing an ankle brace," I roll my eyes.

"It took you that long to come up with that? What a terrible doctor," I see the nurse looking shocked at what I've just said.

"Ha ha, very funny. This is my sister, Evangeline, nurse Harper," Harper's face relieves.

"I was about to say. That's a rude thing to say, and I thought you were Evangeline's mother," Violet rolls her eyes, and I laugh.

"Let's get this cast-off before I age ten years," I hear the saw blade turn on, and Violet starts cutting the cast off.

"Pee-yew, that stinks. When's the last time you took a bath?" I see Violet grin playfully. I roll my eyes.

"Sorry, I've been using your soap," I hear the nurse laugh, and I laugh. I see Violet roll her eyes.

"Alright, all done," Violet takes the cast off, and I itch my foot.

"Go on, try it out," I step, using my foot, and it feels brand new.

"Looks good. Now, nurse Harper is going to take some blood to test you to see what you need for your baby," I nod and see the nurse take out a rubber band and wrap it around my arm. She sticks a needle in me and sucks out two tubes of blood.

"Now, your ankle is still healing, so don't overpush yourself like you've been doing. You can probably still strip and do normal things like jogging on it since it's been two weeks," I see the nurse shocked.

"You're a stripper?!" I laugh.

"Of course. Best job in the world," I see Violet roll her eyes.

"Let's get you out of here," I follow Violet out of the room and through the hallway.

"Go wait in the car while I ring you up some prescriptions," I nod and go wait next to the car.

I wait thirty minutes for Violet to come out of the building.

"Why didn't you get inside?"

"You didn't unlock it," I see Violet roll her eyes and unlock the car. I get in, and Violet hands me a bag with a list of mile-long prescriptions.

"Holy shit," I hear Violet laugh.

"You're going to need them," Violet drives us home and parks beside the house.

"Who's that car in the driveway?" I hear Violet sounding confused as well as I am.

"No idea," I get out of the car, wrapping the blanket tight in the cold air.

I see Mr. Winters get out of the car. Not him. Anyone but him. Shit!
