I see a worried look on Mr. Winters's face as he gets out of the truck, and I get out after him. He goes up to Mrs. D and another maid, wearing a blanket? "Do you have your jackets?" I see them nod, and he rushes up to his house being torn down. "Are you okay? What happened?" Mrs. Dontia looks at me worried.

"We're all okay. I don't know what happened. One minute, I was making food, and the next, I see bulldozers, knocking into my kitchen, scaring the hibby gibbers out of me. I knew Mr. Winters was going to remodel, but I didn't know it was going to be this soon," I hug her.

"I'm glad you're safe. Do you have a place to sleep tonight?" Mrs. D smiles at me.

"You're as sweet as apple pie, darling. I can sleep at my son's tonight, but I'm worried for Mr. Winters. He doesn't have a place to rest because he's not close to his family members. Plus, hotels can be cruel to famous people," I chuckle.

"I try my best, Mrs. Donita. Don't worry about Mr. Winters, I'll take care of him," I stare at Mr. Winters, walking back towards us.

"Do you two have a place to sleep tonight?" Mrs. Dontia and the maid nod. Mrs. D looks at me and then at Mr. Winters.

"Don't worry about us, Mr. Winters. You take care of yourself. We'll see you when the house gets rebuilt," Mr. D smiles at both of us and leads the other maid away. Mr. Winters looks at me.

"I can take you home. I'm sorry things didn't work out as they should of," I look Mr. Winters in his sincere eyes. I hug him, feeling his stress relieve him, and he wraps his warm arms around me. I cup my hand on his face.

"I know you don't like hugs, but from the looks of it, I could tell you needed one," I walk to Mr. Winters's truck. I see Mr. Winters starstruck in place.

"You coming?" Mr. Winters walks towards the truck and gets in the driver's side as I get in the passenger side. I buckle in, and he starts to drive. Mr. Winters laughs.

"What's so funny?"

"When you hugged me, I could feel him kicked," I chuckle.

"He hates hugs. I wonder where he gets it from," I roll my eyes and hear Mr. Winters laugh. I look out the window and bite my lip, knowing what I'm about to ask is going to be hell on me in the future.

"Do you have a place to stay tonight?"

"I planned on staying at a hotel," Mr. Winters looks at me.

"If you want to, you can stay at my place tonight. Of course, I still live with my sister and her kids, but it's an offer unless you don't like kids," Mr. Winters chuckles.

"I would love to stay with you. Who said I don't like kids?" I roll my eyes.

"I don't know. Maybe because my nieces jumped on you and called you Uncle Winters, and you had no reactions," I look out of the window, thinking about the time he wanted to give our son up. My son, I mean. Mr. Winters chuckles.

"They still call me Uncle?" I roll my eyes.

"Of course, they do. They found out I was pregnant the same day that you came over to give me back my dress. They almost spoiled the surprise, then you'd really get mad if you found out without me telling you. Can we stop by the office to pick up my stuff from my car?" I think to say quickly, trying to change the mood.

Mr. Winters makes a turn and drives to the office. I grab my stuff from the car and get back inside Mr. Winters's truck. I lay my head on his shoulder, pinching my wrist to try to stay awake. Mr. Winters parks outside Violet's house.

"We're here. You ready to be tackled?" Mr. Winters laughs.

"I'll do my best to look kid-friendly," I smile.

"What do you mean? I thought you already look kid-friendly?" I see him roll his eyes, and I laugh. I get out of the truck, and Mr. Winters follows me. I unlock the door and walk inside.

"Charlotte, I'm home. I brought a guest to stay the night, I hope you don't mind," I hear tiny footsteps running as I see Kayla and Tia running towards me.

"Uh uh! Remember, Aunt EE has a baby in her tummy," I see both of them stop and hug my stomach carefully.

"Does he have a baby, too?" I chuckle.

"No, he's all yours to hug," I see them jump on Mr. Winters, hugging him tightly. I laugh, looking at two small girls not even half the size of his length, hugging him.

"Alright, girls, that's enough torturing Mr. Winters for one day. Did you two eat supper?" They shake their head no. I drop my bag and walk into the living room, seeing Charlotte on the phone.

"CHARLOTTE!! Why haven't these girls eaten yet? They were supposed to eat supper and be in bed an hour ago. They can't eat sweets and call it supper. Violet is going to have both of our asses if we don't work together to take care of them. Now, Mr. Winters is going to stay as our guest, so show him to the guest room while I cook them something quick to eat before they go to bed," I see Charlotte nod, and I watch her walk to Mr. Winters. I see the girls come up to me.

"What are we having, EE?" I hear Tia say.

"It's a surprise. Now, go watch TV, and I'll call you in when it's done," I see them go into the living room.

I go into the kitchen and pull out two pans and chicken and broccoli from the refrigerator. I cook the chicken, seasoning it up to perfection. While it rests, I finish making broccoli, making sure it is buttered and seasoned to perfection, too. I plate the chicken, cutting it up into cube shapes, and the broccoli onto small plates.

"Come eat, girls," I see them both run into the kitchen. Kayla helps Tia into her chair. I give them their plates, and I make another plate and make a cup of tea. I go upstairs and knock on Charlotte's room.

"Charlotte, food done if you want some as soon as you get off the phone," I hear no response, and I go to the guest room and knock on the door.

"Come in," I hear Mr. Winters say, and I walk into the room. My jaw drops as I see a dripping-wet, Mr. Winters's back standing only in a towel. He turns around towards me, and his dripping wet muscles and tattoos almost make me want to drool and take him then and there.

"I would let you view me all day, but I have work to do. How can I help you?" His deep voice snaps me back into reality.

"I- I uhh- I made you a plate of food if you want some," I walk towards the hunkamania and hand Mr. Winters the plate.

"You've got to eat, too to keep your strength up, even if it's been a terrible day," My hand shakes as I poke at his chest. I can feel the wetness on my finger as I turn around, leaving quickly.

My heart pounds out of my chest as I close the door to his room. Did he have his mask on, or not? Damn it, Evangeline, stop getting distracted by his masculinity. Damn, these hormones getting the best of me. I take a deep breath. I finally move from the room and go downstairs to the kitchen.

I see Charlott eating and the girls about finished eating. I make myself a plate and take two bites.

"EE! We're done!" I sigh, wanting more food, but I have to get them to bed.

"Alright, go upstairs and brush your teeth, and I'll be up there in a minute," I see them run upstairs, and I take one more bite, before covering it, and putting it in the fridge.

I go upstairs and see the girls are still brushing their teeth. I go to their room and make out their beds. I see the girls run into the bedroom and get in their beds.

"EE! Can you read us a bedtime story?" I hear Tia say.

"Kayla, what do you say? You wanna hear a bedtime story?" I see her roll her eyes.

"I guess. A bedtime story would be nice, but make it an original true story," I chuckle.

"Alright, you ready?" I see them both nod.

"Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess. She lived her life fair, but she felt like something was missing. One day, while she was working very hard, she met a King," I hear Kayla gasp.

"The princess and King are you and Uncle Winters!" I chuckle. I tuck the two in and sit on Tia's bed.

"She was so moved by his handsome and charming self, that they decided to have a sleepover at... his house. The feeling she brought her as she lay next to him made her feel like all her staff work and worries disappeared. When she awoke, she felt happier than ever and couldn't wipe the smile off her face. Later on, she found out some news, and her King was not happy about it. She had a little prince in her stomach, and it was his," I put my hands on my stomach.

"It's little Johnny!" I chuckle.

"Shhh, you're going to spoil the story! The King didn't want anything to do with the little prince, so she moved far across the land. One day, the princess gets a new job at another castle, and to her surprise, she sees her King. She was so furious and disappointed in him that she didn't even want to talk to him."

"But the King said he was deeply sorry and made a huge mistake. As a token of his sorrows, he brought her the finest meal in all of the lands," I roll my eyes as I hear Mr. Winters's voice in the doorway.

"The princess refused the King's gift as she was too heartbroken and angrily with him."

"But the King never stopped trying," I look Mr. Winters in his smokey-blue eyes. I feel my eyes start to water, and I look away. I quickly wipe away my tears before anyone sees

"Alright, girls. It's bedtime," I tuck the girls in, again.

"What?! What happened next???" Kayla screams. I chuckle.

"That's up to destiny to decide," I see Kayla roll her eyes.

"Why does Destiny from my class get to decide and not me?! Plus, I thought it was a true story." I laugh.

"It is a true story, little one. It's mine and EE's story," I roll my eyes at Mr. Winters calling me EE.

"Winty Pooh is right. It is our story, and what I mean is it's up to the universe to decide what happens next in our story," I kiss their heads.

"Goodnight, girls," Mr. Winters chuckles.

"Where's my goodnight kiss?" I roll my eyes.

"Yeah! Uncle Winters needs a goodnight kiss, too!" I hear Kayla say. I chuckle. I kiss Mr. Winters on his mask where his cheek would be.

"Now, everyone has had their goodnight kisses. It's time for you girls to go to sleep before your mom gets home. Goodnight, girls," I pull Mr. Winters out of the room and close their door.

I turn and walk into my room. I close the door, take my hair out of the bun it was in, and throw the hair tie on my dresser. I walk into my bathroom and turn on the heat of the shower. I close the door and strip. I go into the shower, feeling the heat wash my stressful day away. I do my usual shower routine.

"I would never fall unless it's you I fall into. I was lost within the darkness, but then I found him. I found you," I sing as I step out of the shower and wrap the towel around me, with the towel barely covering my stomach and thighs. I walk out of the restroom and see Mr. Winters look up at me with lustful eyes while sitting on my bed.
