-Evangeline-

Disappointment. The word rings in my ear. I'm a disappointment, to my love.
"I do trust you! I just... I don't know what to believe when everyone is telling me something different," I reply.
"What do you believe, Evangeline? Do you believe them, or me?" I sit there silently, thinking it all over. This answer to his question could be the future fate of our relationship.
"I...," I sigh, "I don't know who to believe," He sighs deeply.
"It's a painless question, Evangeline. Do you believe them... or me?" But it's not a painless question. It's the most difficult question of my life.
"I- I believe you," Mr. Winters places his hand on my thigh.
"Then it's settled. That's all I needed to hear. As long as you believe me, that's all that matters," That's all that matters... I told the truth about believing him, but why do I have this guilty feeling rising in my stomach, still thinking about what happened with Stephanie.
I watch as the car pulls into the airport strip. After Mr. Winters shows his ID to the guard, he drives past the moving gates, making a large turn and driving straight. I look around the empty field, seeing only his private jet.
"Why does the jet look different than before?" I ask. Mr. Winters chuckles as he drives closer to it.
"It's a different jet than before, that's why," He replies.
"Ohh, okay." Why would he buy a new jet? Then, it clicks. I look at Mr. Winters like he's deranged.
"Why the hell would you buy another jet just for me?! What did I tell you about spending your money on me!" He laughs, knowing I know the actual answer.
"It's my turn to ask a question, so I can't answer that," I roll my eyes.
"So? Ask a question so I can continue yelling at you."
"I don't think I will," He replies. I roll my eyes and cross my arms, huffing as I look out the window. Mr. Winters laughs as he pulls up to the jet.
"You're adorable when you're mad," He says as he gets out and opens my door. I roll my eyes while getting out.
I look at the plane as he takes my hand and leads me to the steps.
"Ladies first," I roll my eyes and mock him sarcastically while walking up the steps into the jet. I hear him chuckle as he follows me into the jet.
I look around the dark blue and red-themed jet. Still mad, I walk to a seat and sit next to the window on the red chair with a frost-white cushion. I cross my arms and look out the window as Mr. Winters sits next to me.
"You can't be mad the whole jet ride, Evangeline. You're going to crack sometime," I roll my eyes.
"Watch me."
I sneak behind Jefferey at the bar and put my hands, covering his eyes.
"Guess who?" I hear Jefferey gasp.
"Bitch no!" He says surprised. He turns around, his eyes light up, seeing me.
"Oh my gosh!! The queen is back!!" He sets down the shot glass he was cleaning and hugs me tightly.
"Oooo, watch out for my stomach," I say as he squeezes me. He lets go and back up.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! I forgot you had a little bloom in you. Look how much the little one has grown! Damn, look how much your ass and thighs got better!" I roll my eyes.
"That's the part I hate about pregnancy is I can't fit into any of my clothes anymore because my ass got bigger," Jefferey laughs.
"Well, I must say it's fitting you in the right ways. Not to complain or anything, but what are you doing here in New York?! Last time I heard from you, you were starting a new job in Canada," I laugh.
"Well, I'm here with Mr. Winters. He has to do owner shit here, so I'm going along for the ride. I figured I'd stop in and say hi to you," Jefferey gasps.
"I fucking knew you two were going to be a thing! Ugh, I can picture the cute babies you two are going to have. So, where is your scrumptious hunk of man?" I laugh and point at Mr. Winters talking to Jerry. Jefferey bites his lip as he stares at Mr. Winters.
"Damn, I'd let that man get me pregnant any time of day," I laugh as we both stare at Mr. Winters.
"He can't get you pregnant if you're a guy," Jefferey laughs.
"Well, he can keep trying though," I roll my eyes as Jefferey laughs. Mr. Winters turns his head at us, looking at us, and turns it back to Jerry.
"Uh oh, I think he knows we're talking about him," Jefferey says. I chuckle.
"You think? I'm kinda mad at him right now."
"Why? How could you be mad at that man?" Jefferey replies.
"The man bought a jet. Just for me," Jefferey looks at me gasping.
"BITCH NO! Why the hell would you be mad at him for that?! That gorgeous man could buy me Prada and spoil me rotten and I wouldn't give a damn," I cross my arms and suck my teeth in.
"That's the point. I don't want him to spoil me rotten. Every time he buys me something, I feel like I'm using his money. Plus, you know I don't like a man buying me things," Jefferey rolls his eyes as he grabs the rag and starts wiping the bar.
"Whatever, girl. You're crazy. If that handsome ass man wants to spoil me rotten, you tell him to give me a call," I roll my eyes, and we both laugh. Mr. Winters starts walking towards us.
"Uh, oh. Here comes the spice," Jefferey whispers to me as Mr. Winters approaches.
"Good Evening, Mr. Rodrigez," Jefferey clears his throat, licking his lips as he stares into Mr. Winters's eyes.
"Good Evening, Mr. Winters," Jefferey responds.
"Evangeline," I turn towards Jefferey with my arms crossed as Jefferey scratches his ear, looking at me with wide eyes.
"Are you still mad at me?" I nod, and Mr. Winters sighs.
"Well, there's only one way I can make it up to you. Since we are in New York and I have the rest of the day off, I figured we could spend the day together doing whatever you want to do," My jaw drops, and my eyes widen as I turn towards Mr. Winters.
"Really?!" I ask excitedly.
"Really," Mr. Winters responds. I jump on Mr. Winters, hugging him tightly. Mr. Winters chuckles.
"What are we waiting for? Let's go!" I pull Mr. Winters's hand towards the door.
"Ooooo, you go, girl! Get you some hunk of a man!" I hear Jefferey yell, cheering me on as I pull Mr. Winters's hand out the door.
"What was that about?" Mr. Winters asks. I smile.
"Nothing!" Mr. Winters stops.
"I'm using my question, Evangeline. What was that about?" I roll my eyes and deeply sigh, turning towards him.
"Me and Jefferey were talking about you, and he said he knew we'd be a thing and that he thinks you're hot and wants to fuck you. Now, come on! We have the whole day ahead of us!" I pull on his hand again, turning towards the parking lot. He stops again.
"What do you mean he wants to fuck me? Doesn't that make you jealous?" I laugh.
"He wants to fuck you, simple as that," I turn around, grinning at him, "I can't answer that question because it's my turn to ask a question," I mock his voice using a deep voice. He laughs.
"Are you mocking me?" He says as he opens the car's passenger door. I grin.
"Maybe I am. What're you going to do about it?" I say, staring at him as I enter the car. I watch him walk around the car, open the driver's side, and sit down. His eyes are determined as he stares at the road.
"I think we should go see a movie," I say.
"What movie?" Mr. Winters replies.
"A romance movie," Mr. Winters chuckles.
"What makes you want to see a romance movie when you hate them?" I look at him and grin.
"To torture you because you hare them," Mr. Winters laughs.
"I bet I can last longer than you in that movie theater," I roll my eyes.
"Then it's a bet. Loser has to do whatever the other one says for a whole week," Mr. Winters laughs.
"Deal. I can't wait to make you my little pet," I roll my eyes.
"And I can't wait to make you get a tattoo of a butterfly."
"In your dreams," Mr. Winters says, laughing hard.
Mr. Winters and I walk into the empty and most romantic movie playing at the movie theater. Mr. Winters sits down, and I sit on his lap.
"What are you doing?" He asks.
"What? Is this not my seat? I find it very comfortable," I say as I wrap my arms around his neck and lay on his chest. Mr. Winters leans towards my ear.
"If you keep sitting on my lap, then I'd have to show you how determined to make you in the bathroom," I lift my head, looking into his serious eyes.
"Oh, you're serious," I get off his lap and sit in the chair next to his. He lifts the armrest and scoots me closer to him.
"You're too far away," I chuckle as I lay my head on his side as he wraps his arm around me. I look around at the theater with only me and Mr. Winters.
"Where is everyone? This theater should be packed," Mr. Winters chuckles.
"I bought the whole theater so we could watch a movie alone," I roll my eyes.
"Of course you would. The point of going to the movies is to watch the movie on the big screen and be surrounded by other people," I say. Mr. Winters laughs, and the movie starts playing.
I cover my eyes with Mr. Winters's hand as a sex scene begins.
"What the hell are you doing girl?! He's a fucking stranger you just met an hour ago?!" I whisper.
"Shh, you're going to ruin the movie," Mr. Winters whispers.
"Ew. Ew. EW!! EW!!! He's spitting on her stomach to make her wet! Who knows where the hell his saliva has been?!" I hear Mr. Winters chuckle, trying to hold in his laugh. Mr. Winters leans towards me.
"Welcome to romance. We can leave anytime you want to, all you have to do is leave first," My head whips at Mr. Winters.
"Never! I will make you get a butterfly tattoo," I whisper to him and continue to watch the movie. I bite my knuckles, cringing at the words the guy is saying to the girl.
"Where the hell did the other chick come from?!" I say as I watch the movie.
"SHE HAS A WHAT?!" I stand up, "You win. We can leave now."
"Awe so soon? It was just getting to the intercourse scene," I roll my eyes.
"Let's just go before the other lady uses the strap-on," Mr. Winters laughs as he stands up.
"So, where to next?" Mr. Winters asks.
"There are two more places I want to go, so I need to drive because it's a surprise," I hold my hand out for his keys. He reaches into his pocket, pulls out his shiny keys, and puts them in my hand.
"We've been driving for thirty minutes. Where are we going?" I smile as I look at the road.
"We're almost there. Trust me, it'll be worth the drive," I pull into the driveway of a small graveyard. I get out of the car, and see Mr. Winters looking at me, confused.
"Come on," I watch Mr. Winters get out of the passenger side. I walk over to him, grab his hand, and hold it tightly.
The sound of crunching rocks fills my ears as I lead Mr. Winters down the dirty gravel path while looking around the empty graveyard. My heart feels like it's going to pound out of my chest as I lead him down a line of graves. I stop at a dusty and silver polished granite gravestone.
"Cole Winters...," I take a deep breath, "I want to introduce you to my dad."
