"They are here already! We're not even done yet!"
A frantic Talia exclaimed as she ran to the full-length mirror to examine her appearance.
Jesse and Malia shared the same worries and they scrambled around the room to grab their purses and slip on their heels.
While the girls were hurrying to get ready the boys were being grilled downstairs.
Jesse's father opened the front door beside him was Noah.
Before them stood Myles, Lance, and West dressed in suits, looking extremely handsome.
The boys try not to cower at the harsh stares Jesse's father and Noah were sending their way.
They each said polite greetings making sure to have award-winning smiles on their faces, yet the harsh stares didn't lessen.
"If you don't stop with the asserting dominance crap and let them in," Jesse's mom hollered from inside the house.
Beside her was Nevah who rolled her eyes at her father and husband's overprotective behavior.
"Hello, boys! Don't you all look handsome," Jesse's mom said with joy as the boys entered the house.
The boys all said thank you, though nervousness still ran through them as they still felt the harsh glares.
"The girls, are still getting ready, they'll be down in a few moments," Nevah informed them and they nodded in understanding.
"Great! That gives me enough time to lay down some ground rules," Jesse's father stated before leading the three of them into the living room.
He motion for them to take a seat, though he remained standing so he could peer down at them.
Inwardly Jesse's father delighted in the fact they were intimidated by him.
Noah had to hold in a snicker as it looked like the guys were going to wet themselves.
You would think Noah would be more compassionate to their situation as he has been in their position before.
However, he finds the whole situation hilarious and is happy to be on the sidelines for a chance and not the receiving end.
"Wale stop trying to scare those boys. They are good kids, and you know that, so take a seat." Jesse's mother said with the roll of her eyes.
"But it's fun," Jesse's dad whined out with a slight pout.
However, one look from Jesse's mother and he was making his way to the armrest, but not before shooting on more stare at boys.
The boys let out a sigh of relief, finally feeling as if they could breathe.
"They're ready," Nevah announced with an excited grin on her face.
Everyone moved from the living room into the foyer to watch the girls descend down the stairs.
Nevah and Jesse's mother had their phones ready in their hand to document every moment.
Coming down the steps first was Talia.
A confident smile graced her face as she made her way down.
Her hair was slicked back in a low braided ponytail making the angles of her face more prominent.
Her makeup was soft, a soft gold shimmer on her lids and highlight shimmering along her high cheekbones and collarbones that were on display.
The strapless dress she wore was beautiful.
The top of the dress was a corset that dipped a bit low on her chest. The corset was sheer with encrusted jewels adorning the top of it.
From the corset, a silk blue skirt molded against her body.
The other half of the skirt had a beautiful shimmery gold pattern and a slit that showcased the light blue heels she wore.
No one could deny that Talia knew how to capture the attention of all those around, her beauty admired by many if not all.
Standing at the last step was West who wore a blue suit that matched the color of Talia's skirt.
He stared up at his girlfriend in complete awe.
Every day it seemed Talia became more and more beautiful to him.
West has always had a keen eye for art, but before him, he saw a masterpiece.
Someone too divine and hidden, too beautiful and rare that was unworthy of ordinary eyes to set their sights on.
Every day he wonders how he became lucky enough to be able to gaze at such art every day, to call it his own.
To West, he felt unworthy of such a privilege but was too selfish to let anyone else gaze at her.
West was not the only one who felt this way.
From the moment their eyes met, Talia knew should never find anyone like West.
He was truly one of kind.
A part of her wished the world could see the brilliance that hides behind him, the unwavering warmth he showered her in, the softness that he holds as he has her within his arms.
But, the larger part of her is happy that only she gets to see these sides to him, her selfishness causing her to only want him to herself.
"Lia," West began to say slightly breathless trying to find the right words, but he couldn't.
"You have rendered me speechless, no words can be enough to describe how magnificent you look now." He said making a bright smile light up on Talia's face.
"Thank you," She replied her heart racing at his words.
The two moved away from the stares, compliments flying their way as Jesse's mother took serval pictures.
The tap of heels against the wooden floor directed their attentions back to the stairs once again.
Standing at the top of the steps was Malia who had a sweet smile on her face.
Lance's mouth parted in shock as he gazed up at her.
Underneath his gaze Malia felt butterflies swarm her stomach, her heart thumping louder and louder against her chest and she went down the steps.
The sage green tulle dress made her skin glow underneath the light.
The dress was strapless, wrapping firmly around her top before flowing down to the ground, complimenting her curves perfectly.
The ruffles and creases with the dress gave it more volume, and the small flowers that adorned the dress were simple yet elegant.
Her hair was pulled back into a high bun with tiny jewels shinny on the front of her hair and temples.
The soft glow of her skin and the dainty jewelry that adorned her neck made Malia look like a princess.
Her smile alone could light up a room.
Lance, who was wearing a crisp beige suit with a sage green tie that matched Malia's dress, stretched out his hand for her to take.
Malia placed her hand in Lance's a gentle smile gracing her face.
The confidence and grace that surrounded Malia now was quite the opposite of her once timid reserved self.
One of the reasons Malia fell in love with Lance was because he never pushed her to change, he accepts her for who she was, including her flaws.
Lance showed her unconditional love and within being with him she learned to love herself.
She learned to appreciate her body and to accept her imperfections, seeing them as beautiful.
Seeing Malia learn how to love herself again brought joy to all those around her, especially Lance.
To Lance, Maila was a hidden gem that so many have searched hard for but none were lucky enough to find, except for him.
All his life Lance had never loved anything as much as he loved lacrosse, but the moment he saw her, he knew that would longer be true.
Malia's generous heart, her ability to see beauty in the most unexpected places, the way she wears her heart on her sleeve, and her unwavering kindness made him fall full force in love with the girl before him.
He would give up everything if it meant giving Malia the world because in his eyes she deserved everything and more.
"Not even the stars in the sky can shine as beautifully as you do now," Lance said staring down at Malia with complete adoration.
Lifting up her hand Malia placed a hand gently against Lance's face staring up at him lovingly.
Immediately Lance leaned into her touch a smile growing onto his face.
"Thank you," Malia spoke before placing a gentle kiss on his cheek.
The pair then moved away from the steps, them too now being ambushed by compliments and having their pictures taken.
A small smile came upon Myles's face as he looked at his friends, glad to see them happy and in love.
Though Myles felt his breath hitch as the click of heels announced Jesse's appearance.
The moment his eyes caught sight of her, he lost his breath.
With her head held high and back straight, Jesse came down the stairs, all eyes on her.
The blood-red satin dress made her beautiful brown skin look luminous.
The mermaid shape of the dress accentuated every dip and curve on Jesse's body, making her hourglass figure more prominent.
The sleeves of the dress draped down her shoulder showcasing her collarbones and the necklace Myles gifted her.
Her hair fell down in beautiful bouncy curls stopping just at her shoulder, the sharp wing and curl of her lashes made brown eyes pop more, her high cheekbones stood out due to the highlight brushed along them, and the red gloss made her full lips look fuller.
Once she reached the bottom Jesse gently placed her hand into Myles'.
Myles's stare set Jesse's skin ablaze.
The two gazed at each other immediately wrapped up in their own world.
"Every time I see you it's as if the world stops and I manage to lose my breath." Myles let out breathlessly, his gaze unwavering.
"You look breathtaking Jesse," Myles said a softness to his voice.
Jesse's smile only widened making Myles's heart rate increase at the sight of it.
The pair have been even more inseparable since they returned from New York.
With the school year coming to an end in just two weeks, they have been spending every minute with one another.
Not a day going by without them showing their love to one another, their relationship growing stronger and stronger with each passing day.
The two were soon broken out of their bubble when Jesse's mother called them over to take pictures.
After taken six million pictures and Jesse's father threatening to skin the boys if they don't bring the girls back home safely, they finally left.
Into the night they went ready to relish in the last few moments of their high school careers with one another.

Arriving at the prom the group looked around the venue in awe.
This year the prom was held outdoor to fit the enchanted theme the prom committee had decided on.
To say they really outdone themselves this year is really an understatement. The string lights that hung within the trees twinkled brilliantly underneath the light, beautiful flowers of different kinds were all around, and the glass centerpieces on the table were just a few of the things that stood out.
Around them, their classmates dance along the floor or chatted at their tables, the air buzzing with excitment.
"I love this song," Talia exclaimed before pulling Jesse and Malia onto the dance floor with her.
The boys stood back watching as the girls twirled in their gowns singing their hearts out to brutal by Olivia Rodrigo.
Soon the boys found themselves dragged off onto the dance floor by their girlfriends.
They all danced together large grins on their faces.
Their laughter filled the air as Lance began to do the santana dance to party in the USA.
It is true the dance does go with every song.
The rest of the night was filled with dancing and laughter.
Each one of them soaking every second they have.
"You know I didn't see this coming," Jesse spoke up as she looked around the table.
The group decided to finally take a seat to rest for a bit, talking amongst themselves before they go back to the dance floor.
"Me either," Talia said in agreement getting onto what Jesse was saying.
"If four years ago someone would've told me that Jesse and Myles would finally talk and admit their undying love for another and that Lance would've grown the balls to ask out Malia, I would've laughed in their face," Talia said a small laugh slipping from her lips.
"HEY!"Lance said offendedly, shooting a glare at Talia as she shrugged her shoulders.
"It's the truth," She said in response.
And though Talia could've worded it better the rest couldn't help but nod in agreement.
None of them excepted to be sitting here together with one another.
Though, they were gratefully this is how things turned out because for all of them these have been the best six months of their lives.
The memories they had with one another, truly unforgettable.
It's hard to come across amazing people who you can trust with your life.
To find people who make life fun and you can always count on them.
But, they were lucky enough to find that with each other.
They all knew that no matter what happened that what they had here would never change.
They were more than friends, they were family.
"Group hug!" Lance said rising from his seat, his arms already open wide.
"Why not," West said with a small smile before getting up himself.
After that, they soon found themselves in one giant group hug.
"I love you guys!" Lance said with a slight sniff as he hugged his friends tighter.
"Are you crying Cunningham," Talia said with a snort.
"No," Lance replied though it was very unbelievable making them laugh.
"I love you guys too," Malia said in agreement earning "I love you" in response from the others.
They stood there for a few more moments, ingraining this moment in their brain before pulling apart.
"Alright, enough with this sap, let's go dance," Talia declared earning cheers from the others.
