Hope was supposed to pick Lizzie and Rae up from Rae's house, she had Josie join her because she wanted to. As she arrived at the home of the Fells she heard crying...
"Something's wrong," Hope told the brunette next to her.
Josie furrowed her brows, "what do you hear?"
"Crying... It sounds like really painful crying," Hope told her.
Josie just blinked as she immediately got out of the car, Hope followed, "we cant just go in there!"
"What if it's Lizzie?!"
Hope tried to stop Josie when she crossed the thresh hold of the Fell house and Hope couldn't.
"Why did you stop?" Josie asked but realized, "you're not invited in."
"I-"
"Josie?!"
"Lizzie?!"
Josie ran to the kitchen but gasped at what she saw!
Lizzie laid on the ground holding Rae's lifeless body, a bloody bite mark on Rae's neck showing her cause of death, Josie felt tears enter her eyes as she put a hand over her mouth!
"Guys!" Hope yelled from the door, "what happened?!"
Josie just shook her head as she opened the kitchen door, Hope quickly sped there but stumbled when she saw the scene before her!
"Oh my god!"
Lizzie cried harder refusing to let go, "I'm a monster! I killed her! I killed her!"
The lights flickered as the glass in the room shattered as Lizzie's cries got louder!
Hope wanted to come in, try to calm Lizzie but she couldn't, and Josie was in there with an exploding Lizzie!
"Lizzie listen to me," Hope tried to say, "its not your fault, it was an accident!"
"No! No! I shouldn't have given into my urges!"
"Everyone makes mistakes!"
"Mistakes?!" Lizzie glared daggers as more thing flew in the kitchen making Josie jump, "my soulmate is DEAD BECAUSE OF ME!"
Josie got on the ground and pulled Lizzie into a hug even if she didn't want it. The hug wasn't really helping but it stopped the flying around stuff, actually, it just made the stuff just float mid-air.
Hope felt dread, Lizzie Saltzman was heart broken, and someone she counted as a friend was dead. She felt some tears fall as she wished she could just... Cross the thresh hold and help.
Lizzie still laid in the destroyed kitchen with Rae's body in her grasp... It had been about 40 minutes and they called Alaric. Hope sat by the kitchen door overwhelmed that another person was dead. Josie leaned against the counters staring at her sister with sympathy. She had no idea how they were going to get the body from her.
Alaric pulled up, he ran to the open front door and ran inside! His eyes widened when he saw the scene before him in the kitchen!
"Oh no."
"Dad..." Lizzie started to cry again as one of the things mid air flew at the wall almost hitting Josie but she dodged it!
"Elizabeth," Alaric got down and hugged his child who just cried into his shoulder.
"I killed her! I drank her blood until she went limp! I'm a- I'm a- I'm a monster!"
"Don't say that, sweetheart, every new vampire has problems with control..." he tried to say but even he knew that would not work, Lizzie killed the girl she loved, she wouldn't just get over that.
Hope watched them, her thoughts were overwhelmed, but then she remembered something from last night...
All of a sudden Rae shot up gasping for air making both Alaric and Lizzie jump back!
"Oh my god!" Josie said putting her hand over her mouth.
Rae just put her hand to her neck feeling the wound, "am- am I-"
"Rae..." Lizzie whispered, "how... I never fed you my blood-"
"I fed her my blood last night," Hope spoke up, "she cut herself when she was getting the supplies out for cheesecake..."
"When was that?" Alaric asked.
"6?"
"Makes sense, your blood wasn't out of her system."
Rae just blinked, "I'm dead?"
Lizzie felt more tears fall, her heightened emotions overwhelming her, "I'm so sorry, I killed you, I'm sorry... Kai was right-"
"Whoa whoa what?!" Alaric interrupted, "Lizzie did you see Kai?"
"Y-Yes at the festival."
They all looked at her, even the freaked out Rae, Lizzie just shook her head, "he said I was doing this all wrong and he called what he did to me 'fun' and then he said that I should watch out with having a human girlfriend-"
"Wait," Lizzie put her hands on her head, "he said exactly "in a hot make out session you could turn all bite bite bite" she looked at Rae and then at her dad, "that's exactly what happened."
Rae just shook her head, "what is happening?"
"You're in transition to be a vampire," Alaric finally told her making her eyes widen, "and Elizabeth, I think you're sired to Kai."
They got Lizzie and Rae back to the school, they had Rae sitting on the couch in Alaric's office with a blanket. She was still trying process all of this.
"I can't believe you fed her your blood and didn't tell me," Lizzie said to Hope.
"Rae asked me not to," Hope told her.
"What are we going to do about Lizzie's sire to Kai?" Josie asked her dad.
Alaric just sighed, "we figure that out another day, right now, we need to help Rae."
"This is all my fault," Lizzie cried.
Alaric hugged Lizzie as Hope went to go talk to Rae.
"You alright?" Hope asked looking at Rae who was shaking and all the other normal transition signs.
Rae shook her head, "I'm dead. I'm in transition to be a vampire. What do you think?"
Hope smiled sympatheticly, she sat next to the girl, "I think you need comfort," she hugged the girl, not seeing any arguements from her it seems she needed it, "are you mad at Lizzie?"
"N-No."
"Really?"
"She didn't mean to, That Kai Parker, it was him who made her do this," Rae told her, "jokes on him, I had your blood in my system."
Hope smiled a bit worried though, "you're taking this pretty easy, are you going go complete the transition?"
Rae just shrugged.
Lizzie came in after being forced to by Josie and her dad, the dark blonde looked at her with soft eyes, it was obvious Lizzie blamed herself.
"I'll leave you two alone," Hope stood up and left.
Lizzie stared down at her hands afraid to look Rae in the eye.
"Look at me," Rae told her.
Lizzie did so, her eyes met hers, she could see the suffering, "I'm sorry, Rae..."
"It's not your fault."
"Don't do that, it is, I should of... I don't know," Lizzie put her head in her hands.
Rae stood up, she grabbed her hands like they always use to, "I don't blame you."
Lizzie stared at her tears still in her eyes, "you should."
"I won't ever."
Suddenly Rae stumbled over her own feet but Lizzie caught her!
"Dad!"
Alaric came in, "she's running out of time, a day goes by fast when you're in transition..."
Rae blinked as she was helped to the couch.
Lizzie stared down, "you don't have to complete it," she whispered making her look at her, "it's okay, I understand..."
"Lizzie Saltzman," Rae grabbed her hand, "you promised a future," she smiled weakly, "I'll complete the transition."
Hope brought some blood, she put it in a glass just like for Lizzie, she gave it to Rae who looked at them and nodded.
She took a sip, it was really disgusting, almost worse than Hope's blood. But she drank more, the taste started to get good... Really good. Veins grew under her eyes as she sucked it all down.
Lizzie watched her with some dread...
Because of her, Rae Fell was now a vampire.
