Booming noises kept bursting
In the once-calm night
Blood spatters caught
In wild flames burning
Spreading from one place to all
Broken window's shards
Cutting through the air
Panicked shouting
And frantic movements
Chaos and destruction
Under the night sky
Was when I hugged you
Held you close
Unwilling to let go
Despite all the commotion
I looked to the moon
Big and shining bright
Bathing us in its protective light
I said look
The moon is so beautiful
You stilled and turned
We both stood there gazing at it
Our saviour between stars
