Homosexuality and bisexuality are the most common sexualities that are considered queer, but there are so many more. Sexuality is actually on a spectrum, therefore it's infinite, just like gender. But there are names for some of them, and I've decided to inform you about them.
asexual: a sexual orientation in which an individual lacks sexual desire towards other individuals.
allosexual: used in the asexual community as a term that means an individual who does not lack sexual desire towards other individuals.
demisexual: a sexual orientation in which an individual lacks sexual desire until he or she has created an emotional connection towards another individual.
skoliosexual: a sexual orientation in which an individual is attracted to other individuals that don't identify as cisgender or fit into the binary identifications.
polysexual: a sexual orientation in which an individual is attraction to some, or many different gender identities, but not all. All would be pansexual.
greysexual: an umbrella term for asexuality; a sexual orientation in which an individual is in between having and not having sexual desire or attraction.
androsexual/androphilic: a sexual orientation in which an individual is attracted to men, or masculine qualities.
gynesexual/gynephilic: a sexual orientation in which an individual is attracted to women, or feminine qualities.
ecosexual: a sexual orientation in which an individual is attracted to nature and considers earth their lover.(I have no clue if this one is authentic, however I will not invalidate it, because that's none of my business.)
Believe it or not, these sexual orientations actually exist, and you can even have more than one. For example, some people identify as pansexual and demisexual. Because pansexuality refers to who you're attracted to, and demisexuality refers to when.
You can also be fluid between sexualities. For example, maybe some days you really dream of being with a man, or a masculine person, and it makes you happy to imagine that person hugging you and kissing you. And then the next day, it makes you even more happy to imagine a female or feminine person doing the same. Every sexuality is different, and believe it or not, heterosexual people could identify as 'queer', by being demisexual, or be heteroromantic and asexual. Everyone's different, and so are sexual orientations.
Anyways, thanks for reading, and please ask questions if you're confused or want me to go deeper into a certain topic. Also vote :) next entry is on romantic attractions. ð
