Just like everyone has a sexual orientation, they have a romantic one too. Most of you will ask what's the difference? And of course I'll explain.
I define certain things as intimate, such as making out, sex in general, and I'm sure you get the idea.
But romantic attraction, that's attraction to someone you might want to kiss, or hug, or cry with, or be with. Not just be intimate with.
A common mistake people make is the assumption that asexual people don't like dating, which isn't true. Most of those assumptions made are by people who aren't aware of romantic attraction.
Pretty much any sexuality can be changed into a romantic attraction by changing the ending. Here are the romantic attractions:
aromantic: a romantic orientation in which an individual lacks romantic attraction to any other individuals.
homoromantic: a romantic orientation in which an individual is romantically attracted to individuals of the same sex.
heteroromantic: a romantic orientation in which an individual is romantically attracted to individuals of the opposite sex.
biromantic: a romantic orientation in which an individual is romantically attracted to two different gender identities (usually male and female).
panromantic: a romantic orientation in which an individual is romantically attracted to individuals of all gender identities.
skolioromantic: a romantic orientation in which an individual is romantically attracted to individuals that identify with a gender identity that is not cisgender; a nonbinary identity.
polyromantic: a romantic orientation in which an individual is romantically attached to some gender identities, but not all.
lithromantic/akoiromantic: a romantic orientation in which an individual is romantically attracted to other individuals, yet does not want to act on the attraction; and does not want the attraction to be reciprocated or implemented.

"The thought of kissing or hugging or dating this person makes me unexplainable happy, but I would never want to actually do so."
These are very real, and very confusing occasionally, so I understand if it feels like a lot of information. But feel free to vote and ask questions :) thank you for reading. The next entry is on religious aspects of the LGBT community.
