Chapter 32: Chapter 32 Fight As One

She slowly stood up from the bed, at first, she was a bit unsteady. She closed her eyes for a moment to regain herself.

Her wolf healing should be kicking in by now.

Lucifer Zades P.O.V

I held my baby girl in my arms while the doctor took a hold on my baby boy.

I still could not believe I was a father. Disregarding that fact for now, I had to focus on what’s at hand.

With my left arm holding onto the baby, I took a hold of the gun in my right.

“Follow my lead.” I tell them.

Adamone Levi P.O.V

“Indeed, these people have cameras everywhere alright.” I muttered under my breath.

That’s how I opened up the tunnel gate so Lucifer could get in. It was smart of him to pull the lever down and close before the hunters could get in.

With a few more punches, the doors to the building open, this was our chance to victory.

“I need to go.” I told as I opened up the car door.

“You’re just going to leave me here?” Evelyn asks.

“I’m the beta, I was given this title with the duty to protect it.” I spoke.

“Can I come too?” She questions.

“You’d slow me down; you have no whatsoever fighting skills.” I remarked.

She wanted to say something but I cut in. “Just stay here till I come back.” I ordered.

I know that was harsh of me but she should understand the significance of the situation.

I transformed into my wolf and started running towards my pack.

Gabriel Zades P.O.V

The hunters were alarmed to how the doors of the building were suddenly being opened as so were we.

“Retreat.” One of them commands.

‘Miss me?’ I’d recognize that voice anywhere.

‘Adam?’ I queried before I saw him in his wolf form nearing towards my figure.

‘How-’ I started.

‘No time to explain, we need to get in now, I know where Lucifer and Valentine is.’ He leads as I followed him.

Lucifer Zades P.O.V

I slowly went down the hallway with Valentine and the doctor behind me and looked over to see a hunter there.

A hunter there. Something that I proudly once was.

His walkie-talkie started speaking. “Fred, Lucifer is right down the hallway. Stop them.”

How did they know?

The fucking cameras.

Before this ‘Fred’ could turn around, I shot him in the shoulder and leg making him fall to the ground crying in agony.

I then took a shot at all the cameras in place, whichever my eyes lay on, destroying one by one, the device shatters falling into pieces to the ground.

I felt something nearing in the corner of my eyes, I quickly took out my gun aiming towards the intruder only to come face with Gabriel and an unknown wolf beside him.

“Finally.” I exhaled.

Both of them shifted to their human form being completely naked.

Adam?

My wolf felt a bit anxious having two nude men in front of Valentine.

“Close your eyes or look away.” I turned to Valentine.

“I don’t see them in that way.” Valentine says.

“I don’t care just do it.” I groaned.

Both Gabriel and Adamone raised their eyebrow at my behaviour.

“Shut up.” I cussed.

I gave Gabriel the baby girl that I had in my arms. “Careful.” I warned him.

I looked over at the doctor and took my baby boy of his arms before passing it to Adamone. “One scratch and I’ll come after you.” I forewarned him.

My threat was not a joke in any way.

He gulped before nodding his head in understanding.

“Now leave, make sure Valentine is out safely.” I spoke.

“Where are you going?” Gabriel asks furrowing his eyebrows.

“There are things that I have to do.” I stated.

“Like what?” Valentine questions.

“I need to free the ones held in captivity because of me.” I told.

“I’ll come with you.” Valentine volunteered.

“No, it’s best if you go.” I reprimanded her.

“I’m healing, let me come.” She objects.

“It wasn’t a request.” She faced me.

I grabbed her shoulder. “Don’t you get it; I can’t lose you again!” I shouted as emotions flew throughout me.

I closed my eyes to regain my composure, shaking my head. “I can’t lose you again.” I spoke.

She touched my face. “You won’t lose me.” She promised.

“But you do need me, first, you need to accept me as an equal so we can fight in this together.” She responds.

I sighed.

I looked at Gabriel and Adamone before giving them a nod to motion for them to leave while they nodded back.

“Don’t you have anywhere else to be?” I questioned the doctor.

He shrugged. “I’ll just follow them, I’m dead if I stay anyways.”

I took a hold of Valentine’s hand in mine.

She was right, I never saw her as an equal. I always had the thought that I was stronger and that she was always the damsel in distress that I had to save seeing our past involvements. Maybe it was time for me to fight beside her, not start running in front of her.

Yet, no matter what, I will never stop protecting what’s mine.
