Chapter 35: Chapter 35 Startling Plan B

I squatted low so she could mount on my wolf, once she was, I took off as fast as my legs could take me, back to the packhouse.

It took me quite a while before I reached, I do not know what was happening back there at the hunter’s realm but I need to tend to my mate as of for now.

Gabriel Zades P.O.V

Once I reached the packhouse, I transformed into my human figure, I saw few clothes being hanged outside and I stole one of the pants, putting it on before carrying Lilith bridal-style and shouted, “Pack doctor now!”

The pack doctors came rushing in as I placed Lilith on the bed at our clinic. She started having a seizure as the doctors held her down, placing something on her mouth first so she does not bite her tongue.

“Young Alpha, you need to leave.” One of the doctors spoke.

I could not leave her.

I know bullets were shot at her thigh, but her stomach seemed swollen too. Was it also an after effect of wolfsbane?

“Please, let us do our job.” Another doctor said.

I furiously left the room, waiting outside, impatiently.

“Riel?” My mom spots me as she quickly walked and sat beside me.

“What happened?” She asked anxiously as she looked at my worried expression.

“It’s Lilith.” I sniffled.

“She got hurt.” I spoke.

“It’s my fault.” I admitted.

“I was so consumed on this war that I neglected her.” I confronted.

My mum hugged me, trying to soothe my emotions.

“What’s happening there?” She then asks.

“We found Valentine and carried their babies to safety.” I spoke.

Oh shit.

I looked at my mom.

“Babies?” My mom asks.

“Twins.” I nodded.

I left them there.

“Where are they?” She asks seeming concerned.

“Back there at the hunter’s territory.” I spoke.

“Who’s guarding the babies?” She then asks.

“Lilith’s sister, Evelyn.” I told as I observed my mom’s expression. She was not happy with the answer.

Valentine Winters P.O.V

No bullets pierced through me but there was someone who was holding onto my figure, yet that someone was not Lucifer.

Some random woman held onto me before she let go of my figure.

When Achilles laid his eyes on her, his eyes widen in utter shock and surprise and his eyebrows furrowed in disbelief.

“L-Laverna? Achilles questions.

“If it isn’t my father-in-law.” She states.

What?

“You’re not supposed to be alive. You’re one of them?” Achilles questions.

Two other girls came in with astounding speed as they sank their fangs in all the hunters that were standing at the back of Achilles, letting all their bodies fall to the ground lifeless.

“I was always one of them.” The woman answered.

“No! Father!” One of the young hunters that were in the dungeon ran towards an older hunter’s body that laid unresponsive on the ground, as he cried hysterically.

Lucifer Zades P.O.V

“I told not to kill them!” I pinned Lucinda onto the wall, holding onto her neck in a vice grip.

Lorraine came from the side as she pushed me away from Lucinda. “Look outside at how many of us are gone!” She shouted at me.

“These demons had slaughtered the many of us with no mercy!” She continued.

“Enough!” Laverna, or my biological mom hushed at us.

She turned her focus back onto my grandfather, Achilles Argent.

Achilles aimed the gun at her as he pulled the trigger.

Laverna on the other hand caught the bullet in her hands.

“Wolfsbane, I see.” Laverna commented, analyzing the bullet.

Her reflexes were out of the world.

“You know this won’t hurt me.” She stated.

“We ran out of vervain.” Achilles huffed.

“What are you waiting for? Just kill me already!” Achilles bellowed, defeated.

“You’re not going down that easy.” Laverna scoffed.

Achilles sneered.

“I don’t need you to.” He says and before anything he placed his gun onto his head and pulled the trigger, driving a hole into his brain before dropping down onto the ground along with the others.

Laverna closed her eyes for a second, clenching her jaw and sighed, shaking her head and ready to leave.

I could not believe it. It was over?

“If only he did this before all this started, could’ve saved us a lot.” She grimaced.

I heard something beeping as it reached my ears, making me furrow my eyebrows.

“Wait.” I spoke.

“Can you hear that?” I asked.

“I can hear it too.” Lucinda stated while Lorraine nodded agreeing with me.

I kneeled down to Achilles’s body and turned it over before checking all his pockets as fast as I could and opened up his buttons seeing a major explosive device attached to his body.

“He always had a plan B.” I muttered.

“It’s a bomb! Run now!” I shouted to everyone.

We only had 30 seconds to evacuate the building.

“Lucifer.” Valentine calls.

“The young hunters are not fast enough to get out.” She says looking at Devon and the rest.

What are we going to do?
