Rose and the man were only in a contractual marriage that would end when the time was upâhe had heard it all outside the private room just now. It meant he still had a chance.
He did have a crush on Rose; it was since high school when she came to his house with Yvonne for the first time. However, she was too young at the time. He had been waiting for her to grow up.
Little did he know that after he went abroad, she ended up being together with Nixon.
When he saw those messages from Maya in the high school alumni chat room that day, he didnât believe that Rose would be involved with another man.
He was sure something had happened. Hence, he left his work there and immediately came back. Even their encounter on the street that night wasnât a coincidence.
He heaved a long sigh. Since Rose and the man were just having a contractual marriage, he would wait for them to end it.
The next morning, Rose had just woken up when she received the message regarding the time and location of the gathering

Seeing the words âNightfall Loungeâ, her head buzzed and she instinctively wanted to refuse. However, the messages from those socialites kept popping

She chuckled and said, âRose, everyone insisted on celebrating for you. They even suggested earlier that we bring all the hosts to celebrate for you. Rose, youâre someone!â
Amanda grabbed a microphone from somewhere and loudly announced, â Come over here, all the handsome guys. Tonight, weâre celebrating our good friend, Roseâs marriage. Weâve ordered the most expensive drinks in the bar. Whoever comes to serve us will get a commission!â
Soon, all the hosts swarmed in. While the bar did have private rooms, they had intentionally chosen a booth today so that everyone could see them.
Rose looked at Maya. She wasnât sure if this group of toxic friends knew about the identity of her star escort husband.
