My mom just called me, and started cussing me out in French (if you don't know, it's fucking terrifying) and I asked her what was wrong and she just said that it was the wrong person. Like maman, who tf were you supposed to be yelling at.

"God, It feels really really evil here." Niki spoke.
The Hinsdale House felt like it was attacking Niki. It kept giving her headaches and harming her. Even when they were just interviewing the owner. They finally decided to enter the house without the owner, and just start the investigation.
"Everytime I'm in here, something is touching the back of my head-" Niki spoke, her voice wavering a bit. She tried to talk and let whatever entity know that, she did NOT want to be touched.
'Stop touching Niki, and start punching me-" Sam said.
"Shove him down the stairs while you're at it and scratch his eyeballs out." Colby said, and Niki and Emma just started laughing. Sam just stood there shocked.
"What did I do to you?!" Sam laughed, looking stressed at his best friend.
They went to Beth's room, where the exorcism took place, and it was covered in dolls, which Sam's me Colby soon found out Emma was afraid of.
Niki just kept getting touched and poked, which really freaked out the gang. Then they started talking about Niki being half ghost, and her mom getting fucked by a ghost... which made the mood a little lighter.
As they went upstairs they joked about Sam's hight. (Fair btw- I'm kidding) Trying to lighten the mood even more. They went into Mary's room, which is one of the most terrifying one. Or something. (It was)
The first time Niki had come up she felt like she couldn't breathe. (I'm re-watching the video and Niki said she felt like she couldn't breathe or go into Mary's room and Paul the owner just kinda forced her in- like what) And it had smelt like smoke.
They all felt a sort of pressure on their chests, except Colby. Emma kept making jokes about getting fucked by a ghost, saying, "I'm a monster fucker first asexual second" (as someone who is ace- real)
They went downstairs, and once again felt strange, it felt like an evil presence watching them. And Sam felt extremely overwhelmed. Niki kept getting touched or targeted and it was very overwhelming.
The house was waiting for its next victim, its next host. And it seemed that Niki was that host.
The basement was terrifying, the stairs extremely steep and gave everyone the creeps. The stairs were full of random holes and the ground was just pure dirt. It was terrifying to even just walk down them, they all ad to crouch down so they didn't fall.
Before they could leave the basement, Niki started hearing music, like melodic music. And they all decided to leave. And go outside.
Which wasn't any better, as of course, Niki saw a shadow figure outside the house. Sam and Colby both were getting quite concerned for the well-being of their friend, who seemed to keep getting attacked. She definitely had an attachment, and everyone could tell.
Right before they genuinely started their investigation they decided to go to 'the giving tree', tree where people would give their offerings.
"If anything happens I'm booking it- sorry y'all." Emma spoke, clearly afraid of the woods.
"I have the keys to the car though." Colby mentioned. Which didn't help anyone's fear.
They looked around at all the offerings. Little charms, bells, dream catchers, ornaments, pouches, any thing you could think of was hanging off or to the side of 'the giving tree'.
"Oh look Niki! You're favorite." Colby grinned, holding up a small bottle of fireball.
"Call back to an off-camera joke?" Emma said, looking at her phone, cautiously.
They joked around a bit before deciding to give their offerings. Colby decided it would be their inner demons. They would write down something they considered an inner demon, and though they didn't half to share it, they would burn it as an offering to the tree.
So they did.
They didn't tell each other, let alone the viewers what their inner demons were. (I'm still so curious on what the wrote) But they themself knew.
Sam, decided to write about the recent events and feelings he was feeling, and how he felt so lost. 'I love somebody, who can't love me back, and after years of knowing them, I don't even know if I understand my feelings. But I am lost without him.' That was all he wrote, and before anyone could see he crumpled it up.
Leaving himself enough time to wonder what they were writing. They all decided not to share.
Well Sam wanted to share, but only if Colby shared too, and that never happened, so instead, he just let it burn. But they did pull an XPLRCLUB plug for the video. Trying to take the edge off of these said inner demons.
Then they burned it, gave it to the tree, and prayed their offerings were enough to get through the night. (It barely was-)
The decided to investigate the woods, found a moth, which to Colby is an inner demon and an omen of death, or whatever. They set down a rem pod, and seemed to be getting a lot of attention.
They tried to use the Alice Box. But it stopped working. It had been working just fine before. Sam and Colby were terrified, the Alice box had never done that before. It wasn't powered off, but even when Sam held it. The buttons wouldn't work.
They turned it both on and off. But it still wouldn't work. They had used it a week ago, for a video, and it was working just fine then. They had no clue what was going on.
"I'm sorry I broke you box guys." Niki whispered, and Colby aggressively hit the box on his arm to fix it, or whatever he thought he was doing.
"Maybe it's all Niki's fault."
"I want my box broken-" Emma interrupted. (I love her she so me)
"Damnnn."
"Hey!" Colby said, finally not hitting the box anymore. Right then the rem pod went off.
They reacted as they normally did, poking jokes, or cowering in fear, most of the cowering on Sam's part. (Idk why I keep attacking Sam. It just feels right-)
The Alice box was still broken, and of course Colby hit it again.
"Beep once if you think I'm cute." Emma spoke, but before anything else could happen the Alice box buzzed aggressively.
"Why did it make that noise?" (Maybe Colby... just maybe, cause you kept HITTING IT)
Niki started feeling warmth, like a campfire and just after Emma admitted to killing the moth. Which again- an omen of death.
They finally decided to head back to the house. They would try the Alice box when they got back. Concerned on if it would get better or not.
When they finally made it back to the house. It started working again. Which terrified everyone, especially Sam and Colby as they had never seen that before.
'I'm crying, do you see me, I'm crying." Niki said, holding back tears of fear. Everyone couldn't believe that it was working again. They had all tried it. And Sam just held it in disbelief.
Before anyone could react more, the Alice box beeped. And then once again. Stopped working. Freaking Sam out more. He looked to Colby for help, who just looked at him in shock and fear. The girls were laughing out of fear like a coping mechanism, but Colby just looked at Sam hesitantly.
The decided to just start their investigation. Well they would at least get the Alice box to work. So they went inside and went to the kitchen to see if it would.
And it started working again.
"I think my ass just prolapsed." Emma said, getting scared to death by Niki's accidental touch.
"Woahhhh."
"That's only happened to me like twice." Colby mentioned. Making Sam burst out laughing. It took a minute or two to calm down before they started to talk to a spirits that wanted to communicate through the Alice Box.
"Oh." That's what the Alice box had said. Oh?
"So what was happening out side really was like a true malfunction, cause it's working now." Sam said glancing at the equipment in front of him.
They spoke to the ghost a bit. Or whatever it was speaking to them. It mentioned Niki's limping due to her broken hip. It also said plural, which Sam assumed ment multiple people. It said fresh, which they all knew had to mean them. The "fresh" visitors. The new hosts.
The it said something that freaked Sam out. "Sally."
Sam knew deep down he hadn't gotten rid of her. He knew he still had a little bit of her attachment. But that set him back. That terrified him even more.
Colby tried to talk to him. To convince him that it couldn't be Sallie, that it was probably just talking about another attachment. But deep down he knew it too. Sallie, was still there. Even if she wasn't truly truly there. She still was connected to them.
After a few more words the Alice box broke again. Making Colby take a step back to look at his best friend.
"Does that mean we're right?" Emma asked, "or are we really really wrong."
Sam went on a rant about the box being weird and acting out. Every work he spoke he looked into Colby's eyes for reassurance. He need his best friends understanding and protectiveness.
After a short talk Niki's head started to hurt again and Colby told them to wait outside while he talked to Sam.
"Can I talk to you for two seconds." Colby said, making Sam pause. "We'll be out in two seconds."
The girls left and Colby turned off the camera.
"How are you." Colby asked staring at Sam sympathetically.
"God. I don't know. This house give me such negative vibe and I just feel so un-secure. I feel like bad. And that Sallie thing, god. I know it's probably fine but like-" Colby cut of Sam with a hug. Holding him tightly. Comforting him.
After a short talk and their flushed faces, they filmed a bit of stuff for the video and went to grab the girls.
They greeted them, talk a bit before continuing to investigate. Deciding to go u[ the stairs.
"Immediately- like that shortness of breath." Everyone felt it this time. The pressure over their chest, cause their breathing to hinder.
Assooas they stepped into Mary's room, Niki nearly collapsed from vertigo. She was extremely dizzy forcing her to crouch and inevitably sit down on the bed. And even when she did sit, she still felt like the room was spinning, like she was going to faint.
They tried to talk to some of the spirits but they had the feeling they were talking to the 'alpha' spirit. Everything goes silent before shit breaks loose.
They questioned this and asked the equipment to talk to them. Using the flashlight. They deduced that the spirit was something that was specifically following them, through the trip.
That freaked Emma out, she had admitted before that she wasn't really a believe how she had to see it herself first. But now she was freaked out. And she knew nothing was staged or anything. She was just freaked out.
They tried to connect with the spirit again. But before anything happened. Colby seemed to choke on his words.
"What-" Sam asked, his eyes immediately rushing towards Colby's face in worry. Both of the girls look up at him too.
"You guys didn't' see anything go like right here," he asked, clearly scared, placing his hand in the doorway where he saw it.
"I don't know if it was like outside or-"
"No it couldn't be, it's like pitch black there's no way-" Sam intervened.
"This is gonna sound crazy, and people are going to laugh at this but it almost looked like-like a giant bubble, like really fast."
"That how like a lot of people describe spirits." Sam spoke, his voice cracking slightly. Colby realized the more he thought about it, he was describing some sort of spirt orb.
Colby was nearly shaking. He exhaled deeply before they decided to care on with their investigation. 'Five more minutes' the blonde had said. Nothing could go wrong in five minutes.
Then they started to see flies and they knew. They knew something was up. Of course Colby being Colby, he thought it would be a good idea to kill the fly. Bad idea. That for sure pissed the spirits off.
So of course the spirit box broke. Just like the Alice box had. The buttons just wouldn't work properly. Some of the buttons wouldn't work, some did the wrong things. And it made everyone even more on edge.
A minute later while Sam was fidgeting with the spirit box, Niki started to panic.
"Is there steam, like is there steam in there!"
"It's steamy, the whole room is steamy!"
"I wanna get out."
And that's exactly what they did. They made their way quickly outside. Where Niki was able to calm down. No one else had seen the steam. But they knew that Niki had, just from the look of complete terror on her face.
She was on the verge of tears explaining what had happened. And they knew a hundred percent certain, that something was targeting her.
They decided to look at the spirit box. "The pond."
That's what it had said. There was a pond in the back. That was seen to have some sort of bug eyed lady haunting it. Like that wasn't freaky enough, some people heard music, like chanting by the pond.
And so it was chosen, they would go to the pond. With the raft that Colby had found at Walmart. So there they were, Colby dragging the inflatable raft, that he had spent like thirty minutes trying to fill up, Sam and the girls followed behind him.
As they reached the pond they heard the honking of a car. Not far from the house. They were in the middle of nowhere. A group of people. They had no idea who.
But the car was locked, so they continued on with the pond investigation. Sam and Colby decided to go out on the pond themselves, knowing the girls didn't want to go.
Just before they got in the boat they heard a scream and a scratching noise. And then a car pulled up and flashed their lights. After a few minutes the car started to slowly back up, and they were alone again.
So there they found themselves, in an inflatable boat, heading out onto the pond. The fog covered the water, and it was hard to see in the dark, but they had their camera, and its light.
"Gonna find the but eyed lady, on the pond, this is romantic." Sam said, trying to make any joke to fiend away any fear.
The two decided that they would be fine with the girls letting go of the rope, even though if something happened they couldn't swim in the cold merky water. They put on the Gregorian chants that they had promised to play, and paddled farther out onto the pond.
Sam and Colby just stared at each other and laughed trying not to freak out.
"Ahhh, I can't see, how do I turn this thing." Colby complained as the light beamed in his face.
"We're so close to the water, I feel like we're gonna fucking die." Sam said, his voice cracking ever so slightly.
"Don't say that." Colby mumbled, trying to paddle away from the edge of the pond.
"Hey," Emma shouted back on the doc.
"Huh?"
"You two should kiss." She shouted again.
Making Sam and Colby blush slightly and look at each other.
"Okay!"
"I mean she said it." Sam joked, trying not to make it weird again, even though, he kind of did want to kiss Colby.
"I mean we do it off camera anyways." Colby murmured. Trying to keep up the joke, but obviously making Sam remember their previous conversation.
They awkwardly looked at each other and laughed it off, making more comments and jokes.
Back on the doc Emma was talking about using Colby's phone, and then said something that Sam and Colby later questioned cutting out, "do you think they've ever explored each others bodies."
This made Niki start crying laughing, trying to stay as clam and quite behind the camera as possible.
"Alright you can kill the chant." Sam screamed from the boat.
They messed around with the ovilus and later pulling out the EMF as well.
They talk about an "important sister", one of the dandy sisters they decided. 'contrition, dives'
"What does contrition mean?" (Guys it means the feeling of remorse or feeling penitent, ima nerd... and that's basically the google definition too)
After a few more blank words, they heard it, 'holy, opening', like a portal, the guide had said this place was some sort of portal. This had to be it.
Then the ovilus said something, that made the two of them nearly jump out of the boat, 'devil' in this deep dark voice.
And so Sam and Colby decided they would come back to the doc.
Obviously both of them struggling to paddle back. Both crashing into the edge of the pond and having trouble maneuvering the raft. They finally made it to the shore and pulled the boat out of the water.
Before they fulled got out the ovilus spoke, "empath, Fire" which they didn't really think much of. So they packed up most of their lake equipment and Colby ran up the hill, dragging the boat behind him. Falling in the grass as he made it to the top.
They wanted to test out two more investigations, but Niki knew there was no way she was going back into the house. So the said their good byes and left her in the car. Not remembering that numbers are key.
The entered the exorcism room, or the living room, to act "mysterious" for the ghosts.
And while nothing else happen other than Emma hearing voices, and maybe some music, they were in for a treat for their last investigation.
Even before they went to the basement, some spirit must have impersonated Niki, as Emma heard her voice from inside, but Niki never got out of the car, to speak. But they continued on with their last investigation.
The three reached the cellar and started setting up for the Estes method. Sam placed a music box by the door, but it kept going off no matter where he put it. Finally he found a place where is didn't make any noise and he came back to the basement to help set up with Emma and Colby.
Sam was terrified after the experience. Terrified for himself, for Niki, for Colby and Emma too. He was terrified completely, more than he really thought he could be.
The Estes method worked, that's for sure. But what Colby said through the voice of the 'devil' spirit, was horrifying. He kept on saying that he was going to us an 'empath' Niki to 'heal'. The he want his name to be known and that he needed her. That there was a fire and smoke. That Niki was in trouble.
And Sam knew he just knew he had to end the investigation there. Because he didn't know if he could do any more. He tapped Colby out, and quickly explained it, before grabbing all of the gear and heading back out to the car.
Where Niki had heard someone and was already getting out of the car terrified.
They explained the investigation to Niki and told the spirits to leave them alone, before all crowding in the car and driving to the hotel.
Still all very shaken up.

That was a lot.... Uhm ye... I loved the video and really enjoyed rewriting it, sorry if there wasn't enough solby but I had to get this video chapter out because it leads up to later events in the story.
Anyways. I just posted a one shot on my other book if you wanted to check that out. It's a new book after I post this I'm gonna write another one shot for that book.
