Chapter 31: Chapter-31 Epilogue

Chap-31!!

“So Jade was supposed to be the daughter of your mother, and I guess the plan didn’t work out because Jades parents stayed there and started to wait for the doppelganger and started to calculate everything. Plus the funeral and everything else, your parents couldn’t get to Jade so they had to wait 200 years till I showed up so we could replay it or something…I’m still confused at that part. Why didn’t they just kill the parents and…”

“Maybe because when they found out about Jades parents idea and they wanted you instead. My mother hated people stronger females and Jade is stronger than most. I guess when they come back. You become stronger. I know my mother didn’t want to take the beauty and personality and find someone else so you would be perfect. Everyone just..waited.” Fallon said. It all made sense. Jade just doesn’t remember so she can’t be angry with the family, She just knows she is angry with someone.

“We have to go back to the house and show everybody this. Then she can die and my life will be great…oh wait…I have to call Dona though…I need to leave this whole place. I can’t when I know that my guardians are a bunch of killers. They killed my whole family line and…Now I’m going to make sure I leave as soon as Jade is gone”

“Wait. What about me?” Fallon asked. “You might never be able to see me when you leave. Plus what are you going to say to this Dona Person. You can’t just say ‘I got a bunch of vampires that want me and I need to leave, but right after I kill a girl from 200 years ago that looks like my clone!’” Fallon said.

“I know, but can I think of that part later.”

“Can we think about all of this tomorrow when you wake up?” Fallon asked.

“Sure, sorry, all this must be making your head spin. Are you hurting?” I asked.

“My head doesn't spin...but I’m fine. For now” Fallon said. We laid back down, Fallon resting my head on his chest again and we both fell asleep with the small thin sheet covering us both.

Finally morning came and I spent a lot of it thinking about what was going to happen today. I was just so scared and a little excited, but mostly sick. We were finally out of the woods and Fallon was feeling dizzy again.

“Here” I said I handed him my wrist and he drank just a little bit from me. He didn't drink enough to make me light headed so there was no need for him to give me his blood like last night.

“Did you know that now that we have shared blood, we have a bond? I can sense your feelings and you can have a small taste of vampire senses. It's very interesting when you give it some thought.” Fallon asked.

“That’s amazing” I said. I looked up to see that the sun was trying to get uncovered by the thick coat of dark clouds and the air seemed humid. My unwashed hair bugged me and I had no shoes on so the ground was cold and covered with small rocks.

“When we get there what do we do?” Fallon asked.

“I was thinking go to Arthur and Katerina show them the dairy and then they can kill her while I pack my stuff and.... make a phone call” I said

“You sound unsure.”

“I just hope Jade doesn’t get there before me” I lied. There was so much more about that plan that I couldn’t tell him was wrong.  Fallon stopped on the side of the rode and he pulled my body to face his.

“Hazel, I just want to let you know. That whatever Jade has planned I'll make sure you get out of it alive. Even if it costs me my life.” Fallon said. I lifted my hand up to Fallon's cheek and I smiled.

“I..Hope it doesn't come to that” I said. I went in and gave Fallon a hug. He wrapped his arms around me too.

“Happy birthday” Fallon whispered. I looked up at him. Surprised he remembered. I didn’t.

“Thanks” This moment with Fallon almost felt like a goodbye. I cared About Fallon so much. We stared at each other and I felt my heart flutter as I sank into his hazel eyes. I just…I wanted to hold him.

“I learned a lot in this time we have had together. And I want to make it all right again. I..I almost don’t want to go..because I love you Fallon and I don't want to leave you.”  I said.

“I love you too Hazel.” Fallon said then he bent down and he kissed me. I kissed him back and this time it was on the lips. I could feel the bond it was like a bubble expanding around us and nothing else was going on. I just kept thinking of him. His hands on both sides of my face and him holding me tightly while I had my hands on his waist gripping his shirt I never wanted this moment to end. Finally we pulled apart. Fallon then held my hand and he took me home.

When we arrived at the house it all seemed empty. I looked at the trees in front of the house to see if the bodies were still there. I could see a strip of Liz's dress on a limp, but the bodies must have been moved when everything was getting calmed down.

“I smell..Death” Fallon said. I sniffed the air and smelled something odd. I guess my scenes were picking up a lot of things.

“I smell something too” I said as we entered the house.

We both heard a big crash and I knew it was coming from the Ballroom. Fallon and I hurried to the big doors of the room and opened them. The whole place was a mess the statues and tables and everything were broke and there was Jade in the dirty dress she died in. Why was she wearing that?

I saw Ian half dead on the floor across the room and I saw Lucas and Jade Staring at each other. “You promised you would Wake me up in three days Lucas! The king was supposed to wake me up!!” Jade shouted.  She remembered?

“Jade” Fallon said. Jade slowly turned around to glare at us.

“Oh joy! I was hoping you guys would show up. I just wish Fallon stayed at home. Oh well” Jade was she then picked up a gun and shot at Fallon with speed so fast I almost missed it. Fallon fell over holding a wooden arrow to his shoulder he was in agony and I could hear a small sizzling sound deep in his shoulder, like burning.

“She poisoned it” Fallon said as he fell to the floor.

“No” I screamed I fell down to look at Fallon.

“Oh shut up Hazel.” Jade said. “He is mine!”

“No he isn’t Jade. Where is everyone?” I said.

“Out hunting, most went hunting and the rest stayed in case you came back. See I spiked the arrows in…what’s the name…Chlorine? Oh well. I killed Arthur and a bunch of other people. Katerina was with the hunting group. I guess I’ll have to deal with them later….Is that my dairy?” Jade asked. She zoomed ahead and picked up the dairy that was on the floor.

“Great. Just great. The locks are broken I made them myself and now they are no more. “Jade looked upset.

“Are you going to kill me now?” I asked. I saw Lucas on the ground with an arrow in his leg, but I saw him trying to move from the corner of my eye.

“Yes” Jade said. I tried to move fast but I pulled Fallon arrows out and stuck my wrist in his mouth and Fallon bit down without Hesitation.

“What are you doing?” Jade asked she ran to me and pulled me off Fallon. She threw me across the room and I hit the ground with a thud. All my bones on my left side ached and pain shot out everywhere. I moaned and I tried to look up just in time to see Jade crouch down and stab me with one of her arrows.

“I don’t care how much you know. Your dead to me now” Jade said and then stabbed me with another arrow. “This might not do anything to you, but it sure hurts” She said and stabbed me again. I screamed out in pain and I started to feel tears falling down. I gulped down my cries and I then took action.

“Lucas!” I shouted. “Take it” I pulled my wrist towards him. Lucas used the rest of his strength to bite down and drink from me. Jade grabbed him and pulled him off too making him fly to the closet wall. He didn’t get enough of my blood because I noticed that he wasn't getting up.

“I’m stronger!” Jade shouted.

“No you’re not. Did you know Fallon has half more power than you do? Yes coming back from dying a vampire gets you stronger than the two hundred year old, but Fallon became half a vampire when he was born than changed. He is stronger than you by five hundred years."

“Never!” Jade shouted and then she kicked me to the wall. She used so much strength that I was bleeding so much. Ian’s fangs bite down on my leg catching me by surprise. I screamed from the shock and pain going through my whole body.

“Get off her” I heard Fallon say as he pulled Ian off me. Fallon bit down into his wrist and gave me his blood.

“This is cute. You guys sharing blood….Cute” Jade said. Fallon turned back around and exposed his fangs and hissed at Jade. Jade’s fangs then were sprouting and she hissed. Her eyes turned red and the vines in her face popped out making her whole face make me want to scream and run.

“When Hazel dies she won’t have a possibility to come back. Sorry” Jade hissed

“She will, She has my blood in her system.” Fallon said.

“oh?” Jade said. “I can change that. I just need to get rid of you first."

“You won’t touch her!” I heard Ian coming behind Jade, but jades fast reflexes made her able to stab Ian before he would rip her head off. Ian groaned in pain and stumbled back. I felt the urge to go to him, but I was to week and then I felt something start a fire in my system and turned over on my back. My whole body was burning like the night Lucas bit me.

“Ahh, The sting” I shouted. Fallon looked back at me and looked at wear Ian had bit down on my leg. I looked down to see the small blood start to pour from the wound. I felt pain all over...I just wanted to die and make all my worries go away.

“He poisoned you!”  Fallon growled. “Can’t you guys control your fangs!?”

“Take this” I heard. I saw Lucas and Ian teaming up to pull the arrows away from Jade and put her in a head lock. Everything was going so fast. They all were fighting and using their speed it was a blur as my eyes started to close and my vision get clouded up.

“Bite your lip” Fallon ordered me. I felt his arms try to prop my body up against the wall, but I kept slumping over.

“What why?” I mumbled.

“I don’t have much time to explain just bite your lip. I’ll take the pain away soon” Fallon said. Then I felt his finger nail digging into the place where everyone bit and digging big chucks of my flesh out. He did this to every cut I had. I screamed and moaned and panicked as I tried to breathe through my nose and not my mouth. It hurt…I was in too much pain.

“Why can’t you bite?” I asked.

“I don’t have enough time”

“It hurts”

“I’m sorry Hazel, and I’ll get you out of this, I promise” Fallon kissed me then he gave me his blood and soon he was gone. Fallon went to help Ian and Lucas. I started to stand up feeling better. I looked around and then took the sword out from the Knight in the corner.

“Wait” I said. Lucas had one arm and Ian has the other, ready to rip her apart. Fallon was behind and had ahold of Jades head as she hissed.

“What is it Hazel?” Fallon asked sounding alarmed. I walked over to them and I saw Jade start to struggle and growl

“I want to do it” I said. I pulled the back the sword and used all my strength to pierce it into her heart. I pushed once, twice, and then it was all the way through.

“I’m human, so there is no possibility of you coming back” I told Jade. She was breathing hard, gasping for more air. I saw a tear of blood fall from her eye and she looked up at me with concern, then her evil side showed again.

“No! I will come back; I will haunt you in your dreams.” Jade snarled then she huffed making her face break out. Her veins popped and she was dead her eyes closed and she slummed over.

“Is she dead?’ I asked. Fallon ripped her head off and I jumped back covering my mouth to hide the screams.

“Now she is.” Fallon said.

“Ok Lucas, Ian, go to Liz, and give Liz Jade’s blood” I said. I was out of energy and felt like I was going to pass out. Lucas and Ian Disappeared and then I fell and everything go black..

“Hazel wake up” I heard a sweet whisper in my ear. My eyes fluttered open. I was laying down in my bed and there was something cold on my forehead.

“What..What’s  going on?” I asked. My throat was dry and crackling up. Fallon smiled.

“The Po-lys..Are here and Dona is here too. Katerina is only a mile away and Liz, Lucas, and Ian are downstairs and lying there butts off about what is happening. We are trying to switch the Parenting to me. Of course Lucas and Ian are using their compulsion, but we will live in new Orleans and start anew” Fallon told me as he helped me get up. Did he just say Po-lys? I think he meant Police. I felt my head start to spin then the room was still again. Everything then calculated in my head..

“Liz?!” I shouted. I then tried to move fast and run down the hall and down the stairs almost falling on my face. I saw Liz in the Living room with Lucas and Ian on the couch. They were talking to a police officer and he was taking notes. Liz looked at me and got up. I stood at the end of the stair case just taking in her moving body. Her curly dark hair bounced as she smiled and did a little jump.

“Liz!” I shouted feeling tears running down my face. I started to run and I grabbed on to Liz clutching her with all my life as she giggled.

“I thought I lost you forever. I love you so much. I missed you. Oh Lizzy!...What a minute. Where is your mother?” I asked.

“My mother was killed by hunters forty years ago. I was lying that she was still alive” Liz said. I grabbed her into another hug feeling more tears raining down my cheek.

I laughed. “I missed you so much” I said hugging Liz again. She laughed and hugged me back.

“Ok, Fallon is the new guardian. I’ll file it. Thank you Paul Burton” Dona said. I looked at Lucas who smirked and nodded.

“You’re welcome” Ian said and he hurried everyone out. I smiled.

“Who is Paul Burton?” I asked.

“Lucas’s fake name” Liz giggled. Lucas looked over and winked at me. Fallon slowly walked downstairs.

“So were all moving in?” Ian asked.

“No, I think I’m going to stay with Katerina. She might be hurt from Arthur gone and all. Plus I don't think I would feel wanted. I'll make sure to visit though.” Lucas said.

“That’s fine. There just arriving now” Fallon said. Katerina burst through and then saw us all. I saw Liz’s mom and Buddy and Lucas’s Parents and some others come through. Liz’s mom ran to Liz and hugged her i could hear their small weeps. Liz's mother lifted Liz up into her arms and hugged and spun around. Liz laughed and kissed her mother on the cheek.

“What is going on” Katerina hissed. I froze and looked back at everyone. Fallon and Ian left the room to tell everyone what happened and I went upstairs to start to pack. Things were starting to turn out better. I was happy. Jade was dead and I was finally leaving to New Orleans and start a new life. I smiled to myself as I realized how happy I was. I was over joyed.

Fallon came into the room and helped me with the rest. Everyone is downstairs into shock and Lucas and Ian are holding Katerina down from killing me. When we got done packing we got in a car that was outside and we drove off. The last thing I saw was Fallon’s Parents standing next to each other in the forest just looking sad and determined to do something.
