Chapter 33: Chapter 33

Arianna Gilbert (Vampire Diaries)Words: 26886

"Yeah, yeah, I'm going." I sigh, as the guy pushes me forward. I look back at Elena who is still unconscious in his arms, with her hands and feet bound. The guy doesn't really give a crap about me. He knows I won't do anything because it would put Elena in danger.

I have no idea why this dude kidnapped us, and I'm pretty sure he is a vampire. I'm not sure yet. All I know is that my head hurts like hell from that guy smashing it into a car window.

He leads us over to a couch, and sets Elena down as he unties her. He throws off his sunglasses, hat, and jacket. It looks to me like he is hiding from someone...or something.

"What do you want?" I demand, glaring at the guy.

The guy turns around, holding a finger up to his lips. "Shh." I roll my eyes, and continue glaring at the guy. How much creepier could this guy get.

"Please... I'm hurt." Elena pleads, as he finishes untying her wrists. I look at Elena's sleeve and see a big pool of red on her shirt. I'm pretty sure it's from last night and the whole Katherine thing.

"I know." the guy smirks, showing his fangs and his eyes go all veiny. Answers my questions if he is a vampire or not. "Just a little taste." he leans forward, causing Elena to scream and me to shout curses at the guy. I'm about to go push the guy off the damn sofa but a woman with short hair stops him.

"Trevor, control yourself!" she scolds, with a slight english accent. I look at her frowning, she doesn't seem that hostile.

Trevor sighs, and gets up from the couch, glaring at the woman. "Buzz kill." he mumbles as he walks out of the room.

"What do you want with us?" I repeat again, this time asking the woman. She seems like she is more in charge of things here.

"My God, you two look just like her." the woman whispers, as she looks Elena and I over.

"But nether of us are her. Please-" Elena starts to plead again but the woman shuts her up.

"Be quiet!" the woman snaps at Elena.

"But neither of us are Katherine. My name is Elena Gilbert and that is my sister, Arianna. You don't have to do this." Elena reasons, why I internally beg for her to shut up. This woman is not going to put up with her. Please Elena, just be quiet.

"I know who you are. Now I said be quiet!" the woman yells, glaring at Elena.

"What do you want?" Elena asks, casing the woman to roll her eyes. Before I even know what is happening, the woman pulls back her hand and slaps Elena in the face. Elena goes flying back, and lands on the sofa unconscious. I swear and run over to her, gently shaking her. Come Lena, wake up.

"I want you to be quiet." the woman smirks, answering Elena's question. I look up at the woman, glaring.

"You can't just go around slapping people unconscious asshole! I get your a vamp and all but you still can't do that. And you can't also go around kidnapping people because they look like some 500 year old bitch. It's not my fault I'm so good-looking." I snap, I really don't like this woman.

The woman looks at me for a second before smiling slightly, "I like you, a lot more than your sister. So here's a tip, don't piss me off and keep your sister in check. If you do that, you'll be fine. For a while." she spins around on her heel and walks out of the room.

I watch her watch out, a frown coming over my face. I don't really like what she just said, about being fine but only for a little while.

Who the hell are these people?

-----------------

"Aria, are you dead or something? Wake up!" Elena yells in my ear, causing me to groan. Ow, my head already hurts. I don't need Elena making my ear drums shatter too. "Shh, they can't hear us." Elena scolds, still screaming in my ear.

"Stop yelling Elena, they'll hear that too." I whisper back but it sounds like I'm screaming at the top of my lungs. Great, I think I have a concussion.

"I'm not yelling." Elena frowns, when I open my eyes slowly. She looks really worried so I sit up, shaking off the dizzy feeling.

"Sorry, I just took a long nap. Everything is kind of blurry." I lie, giving her a very forced smile. Yup, I'm sure I have a concussion now. With my luck, my brain is probably bleeding and I'm going to die soon.

"Come on." Elena urges, taking my hand and pulling me up. The world spins around me and I see like two Elena's. So not good...

"How are the girls?" I hear the woman ask from the other room, and it almost sounds like she cares. Elena is leading us closer to them, and I try my hardest to walk quietly. All we need is for me to collapse and knock something over, thus attracting there attention.

"Both of them are passed out on the couch." the Trevor guy answers, sounding like he doesn't have a care in the world. I really hate this guy, he gave me a goddamn concussion. "I had to...uh...use force with the prettier one. The other one is untouched." Trevor explains, sounding nervous. I guess I should like that he said I was prettier than Elena. But I am wearing a short black dress and she is wearing a pink sweater with jeans. But even if I was wearing that boring outfit, which I never would, I still would be prettier. Yeah... I don't like Elena being than me at anything. Even looks.

"Trevor! I told you not to touch them!" the woman yells, pissed off. Good, I hope she whoops that guys ass.

"Whatever, if she is hurt, we can just heal her. No big deal. Now did you call Elijah?" Trevor asks, and I frown at that guys name. What kind of name is Elijah?

"You know how this works, Trevor. I called one of his contacts." the woman sighs.

"Did you or did you not leave a message to Elijah?" Trevor questions.

"They say he got it." the woman answers, but she doesn't sound too sure. I share a worried look with Elena, who is this guy?

"Great. And what?" Trevor replies, sounding super annoyed.

"So that's it Trevor, he either got it or he didn't." the woman explains. I don't know how she could put up with this guy. He seems so annoying and...cocky.

"It's not too late, we could leave them here. We don't have to go through with this." Trevor points out, sounding super nervous now. Whoever this Elijah guy is, they're scared of him.

"I'm sick of running!" the woman yells.

"Yeah well, running keeps us alive." the Trevor guy argues.

"Elijah is old school, if he accepts our deal. We're free." Right as she finishes talking, Elena makes a wrong step and the floor creaks underneath. The women's head snaps towards us, "You two!" she snaps, coming over to us. Not good... "There is nothing around this house for miles. If you two think you're getting out of here, you are tragically wrong. Understand?" the woman looks over at me. She sighs before biting into her wrist. "Drink, you need it." I look at her in disgust. It's one thing drinking blood from Damon but I'm not drinking it from her.

She rolls her eyes, and grabs the back of my head, forcing me to drink from her wrist. I struggle and try not to swallow it, but a few sips go down. She lets me go, and I stubble away from her. I glare at her and wipe the blood off my mouth. My headache is gone now. But I'm still not gonna tell her thank you.

"Who's Elijah?" I question, curious now that I can think clearly.

"Your worst nightmare." she answers before walking into the other room. I look over at Elena and see she is scared out of her mind.

I give her a small smile, "It's gonna be okay, alright?" she looks over at me, giving me a thankful smile and a small nod. This time, I'm the one that pulls her along, following the woman. I wish I knew her name so I could stop saying the woman.

"Why are we here?" I ask, standing at the doorframe of the room the women is in.

"You keep asking me these questions like I'm going to answer them." she sighs, turning on some lamps.

"Why won't you?" Elena glares, I guess she is fed up with this women.

"That's another one." the woman answers, picking up a board and putting it over the window. I guess she doesn't have a daylight ring since she wants to block out the sun.

"Why won't you tell us what you want with us? You kidnapped us, we have a right to know why." I demand.

"I personally want nothing with you, I'm just a delivery service." she says.

"Delivery service for who? Elijah?" Elena guesses.

The woman laughs, "Two points for the eavesdropper."

"Who is he? Is he a vampire?" Elena asks, causing me to roll my eyes. Of course is a vampire Elena.

"He is one of the vampires, the originals." the woman explains, sorting through some books. The originals? So that means they're like the first vampires or something like that?

"What do you mean? The originals?" I question, really curious as to who they are. Or...what they are.

"Again with the questions, haven't the Salvatore's been teaching you vampire history?" the woman teases, sounding amused. Damn, I really wish I knew her name.

"So you know Stefan and Damon?" Elena clarifies, sounding almost defensive. She can be defensive about Stefan but Damon is mine to be defensive about.

"I know of them, a hundred years back a friend of mine tried to set me up with Stefan. She said he was one of the good ones, but I'm more of a sucker for the bad ones though." she smirks, looking through a book. She's trying to change the subject.

"Who are the originals?" Elena demands not giving up. She should really stop being so demanding with this woman. It seems like she has a short patience.

The woman seems to hesitate for a second before setting the book down and turning towards us, "Trevor and I have been running for 500 years, we're tired. We want it over. We're using you two to negotiate ourselves out of an old mess."

"But why us? There are a billion people in the world. Why my sister and I?" I question, not understanding why we're so special to people.

"Because you're Petrova dopplegangers, one of you is the key to breaking the curse. The other is like extra mojo, an extra battery so you could say. " the woman shrugs, and I swear her eyes dart over to me.

"The curse..." I mumble, thinking things over in my head. It can't be that curse. Can it? "The sun and the moon curse?"

The woman rolls her eyes, "You do know your history."

"What do you mean by one of us is key? And the other is some extra mojo? The moonstone is what breaks the curse." Elena says.

"No, the moonstone is what binds the curse. The sacrifice is what breaks it." the woman explains, causing me to shiver. Sacrifice, that doesn't sound too good.

"Sacrifice?" I clarify, still frowning.

"The blood of the doppelgänger, you're the doppelgänger. Which means in order to break the curse, you're the one that has to die." the woman states, looking at Elena.

"Woah, woah, hold up. No one is going to kill my sister for some sacrifice. I won't let it happen." I argue, glaring at the woman.

The woman looks over at me and I swear I see sympathy in her eyes. "You can't do anything about it Arianna. Your sister has to die, and so do you. You are part of the ritual. You are the most important ingredient."

I stare at her in horror, not believing what she is telling us. She is telling us both Elena and I have to die. For some stupid curse breaker thing. No...I'm not going to let either of us die.

"Tell us more." Elena glares, looking at the women.

"Wow, captivity made them pushy. What do you want to know dopplicious?" Trevor asks, coming into the room and putting a board over the window. Guess he doesn't like sun much either. He should be burned for calling my sister dopplicious. He thinks he's cute, I guess.

"Who are you running from?" I question, looking over at him. He is actually pretty good looking. He has a nice accent too.

"The originals." he answers, so very helpfully.

"Yeah, thanks, but your friend's already said that. Who exactly are the originals?" I demand, getting fed up with these half answers.

"The first family, the old ones. Rose and I pissed them off." Well, her name is Rose. Rose groans and glares at Trevor, "Correction, I pissed them off and Rose had my back. For over half a millennium they have wanted us dead." he explains, slamming a book down on the ground.

"What did you do?" Elena asks hesitantly.

"He made the same mistake that countless others did, he trusted Katerina Petrova." Rose sighs, and I can tell she hates Kathy as much as I do.

"Katherine? How many lives has the bitch ruined?" I groan, looking over at Rose.

Rose nods, "The one and only, the first Petrova doppleganger." Rose confirms.

"I helped her escape her fate, and now I've, sorry, we've, been marked ever since." Trevor states, and I can't help but feel slightly bad for these people.

"And we're not gonna make the same mistake twice." Rose calls out, as she heads out of the room. Trevor looks at Elena and I before following her out. I watch them go and all my hostility towards them dissolves. They're just trying to stay alive which is Elena and I's main focus right now.

-------------------

Elena and I head back to the room that we woke up in, and I jump onto the couch frustrated. I hear something crunch underneath me, and I look up at Elena, wondering if she heard it also. Based on the look on her face, I'm guessing she heard it.

I reach under me and pull out a crumpled up piece of paper. Elena comes over to me, while I unfold the paper as quietly as I can. What I see on the paper, makes smiles come to both Elena and I's faces.

Damon and Stefan are coming for you.

-B

Even though I hate Bonnie, I can't help but be impressed that she could get us this message. I guess having a witch on your side is kind of nice. Oh, if only it wasn't Bonnie though. Maybe like some badass, cool witch. Now that would be awesome.

"Put it away!" Elena whisper/yells as we hear footsteps coming closer. I stuff it into the sofa, praying that Rose or Trevor didn't hear it.

I look up as Rose walks into the room with a duffle bag, picking some things off the ground and putting it into her duffle.

"He's here!" Trevor states, practically running down the stairs in front of us. He looks super nervous, and he is really jittery. "This was a mistake."

"No, I told you I would get us out of this. You have to trust me." Rose argues.

"No! He wants me dead Rose!" Trevor points out, now pacing the room.

"He wants them more!" Rose answers, pointing at us.

"No, I can't do this. You give him the girls, I need to get out of here!" Trevor panics, as Rose walks over to him taking his hands in hers.

"Hey! What are we?" she smiles, trying to calm him down.

"We're family." he says, taking a few deep breaths before nodding. "Forever." Rose nods with him, a smile on her face. It disappears instantly when someone knocks on the door three times. They're terrified of this guy. The looks on there faces, you'd think they weren't 500 something year old vampires.

"You're scared." Elena whispers, fear lacing her voice.

"Stay here, watch them and don't make a sound." Rose commands before heading up the stairs, to whatever horror awaits her.

I get up from the sofa and start pacing with Trevor and Elena. Who the hell is this guy? I want to know but I would prefer not to meet him. He seems...um...scary. Right now I'm imaging some Dracula looking guy, that is totally creepy and shit.

I instantly stop pacing along with Elena, when we hear footsteps approaching from upstairs. Ugh, God. I really want to leave right now.

Rose walks onto the balcony upstairs and following close behind her is a really good looking guy. He has short brown hair, and is wearing a suit. He walks with so much...authority, I guess you could say.

I make eye contact with him for a split second before he is suddenly standing in front of me. I try not to look frightened but when he slowly starts leaning towards my neck, I can't help but start breathing a little more heavily.

He leans down so far, that his nose his brushing against my neck. I except him to start sucking my blood but am surprised when he pulls away. "Human." he whispers, with a weird accent. I can't place it, it kind of sounds English but it's not. "That's impossible." he looks over at Elena but I guess he doesn't need to smell her to know she is human. He looks back down at me with a small smirk on his face. "Hello there."

I meet his gaze, trying not to look frightened. "Hey." I answer back, stupidly.

He tilts his head at me, like he is intrigued. "We have a long journey ahead of us, we should get going."

"Please don't let him take us. Please." Elena begs looking at Rose and Trevor. I see Rose look down at the ground guilty. At least she feels bad for us...

"One last piece of business, then we're done." Elijah tells Elena and I, before turning back to Trevor and Rose. I look over at Elena and seeing how scared she is, I grab her hand. I will not be scared, I can't be. I have to keep Elena together.

"I've waited so long for this day Elijah, I'm truly very sorry." Trevor apologizes in a sincere tone.

"Your apology is not necessary." Elijah tells him, circling Trevor like a hunter circles it's prey.

"Yes, yes it is. You trusted me with Katerina, and I failed you." Trevor states, looking down at the ground.

"Well yes, you are the guilty one. Rose aided you because she was loyal to you, now that I honor. Where was your loyalty?" Elijah questions.

"I beg your forgiveness." Trevor pleads, looking up at Elijah for the first time.

"So granted." Elijah smiles, before beheading Trevor. Like literally beheading him. He swings his fist around, and just...slices through Trevor's head.

Rose lets out a heartbreaking wail, watching as Trevor's body, missing a part, falls to the ground. Elena and I both watch in horror and I know I will have nightmares for a year at least.

"You!" Rose cries, starting to advance down the stairs.

"Don't Rose! Now that you are free." Elijah warns, wiping the blood of his hand with a white handkerchief. Elijah holds out his hand towards Elena and I. "Come."

"Wait! Don't you want the moonstone?" I question, pulling Elena behind me as he walks closer to us.

"What do you know about the moonstone?" he narrows his eyes, taking a step closer towards me.

"I know that you need the damn stone, and I know where it happens to be." I smirk, trying to look like I'm not ready to shit my pants.

"Yes?" Elijah smirks back at me, pressing for more.

"I can help you get it." I bargain.

"Tell me where it is." he demands.

"It doesn't work that way old man." I shrug, still smirking.

"Are you negotiating with me?" he asks amused, before turning back to Rose as if to ask for an explanation.

"It's the first I've heard out it." she grounds out, glaring at Elijah.

Elijah turns back towards me, and we lock gazes, having a staring contest. "You are not wearing vervain like your sister." he smirks, causing me to curse in my head. I didn't put the bracelet on because it didn't go with my dress. Shit. He grabs me by the back of my head, and forces me to look at him.

"Where is the moonstone?" he compels, and I hear Elena yelling behind me.

"In the tomb underneath the church ruins." I answer, not able to stop myself.

"What is it doing there?" he questions.

"It's with Katherine." I say, and I mentally slap myself in the face. Stupid damn, compulsion.

"Interesting." Elijah smiles, before we hear a crash upstairs. He lets me go and Elena comes over to me right away, grabbing my hand. "What is that?" it's Stefan and Damon Salvatore asshole.

"I don't know." Rose sighs.

"Who else is in this house?" he demands, glaring at Rose.

She glares back at him, "I don't know!"

He sighs angrily before grabbing Elena's arm, casing her to cry out. "Move!" he commands, forcing Elena and I up the stairs. I have to walk quickly to keep up with there pace. Elena isn't having a problem, well, because she is being dragged away.

He leads us into the main room, and I jump when I hear and kind of see, someone whooshing past us. Elena gets away from Elijah and comes over to me and Rose. We both would rather be with Rose than him.

"Rose!" Elijah yells, looking around.

"I don't know who it is." she defends, looking around just as confused as Elijah. Can't they guess by now who it is?

"Up here." Stefan whispers, causing our heads to snap up the stairs. No one is there. Elijah speeds up the stairs right when Damon whispers-

"Down here." Elijah's head snaps towards us but Damon isn't anywhere to be found. I hear a whooshing sound and everything after that is a blur. I have no idea how I got there but suddenly I am standing upstairs, with Damon in front of me. What the hell? That was really confusing.

I look at Damon and he smirks back at me, causing me to roll my eyes. Of course he would be like this, even though I just got kidnapped. I shouldn't except anything else from him.

"Excuse me! To whom it may concern, you're making a grave mistake if you think you can beat me. You can't. You hear that? I repeat, you can not beat me. So, I want the girls on the count of three or heads will roll." I look up at Damon, scared of what Elijah will do to Damon and Stefan. Damon just shakes his head, telling me not to worry for him. "Do you understand?"

Damon looks at me, with a hesitant look on his face. 'What' I mouth. and he gestures his head, towards Elijah. He wants me to talk to Elijah?

'Distract him for a few minutes.' Damon mouths back, handing me a vervain grenade. Guess they got this from Ric. I nod my head, and take the vervain. Got to prepare my acting skills right now.

I push away from Damon, and head out into the open at the top of the stairs, where Elijah can see. Elena comes out shortly after me, having had the same discussion with Stefan, I'm guessing.

"Fine, we'll go with you old man. Just stop with the threats and let my friends go. They were just trying to help us out." I shrug, looking down at Elijah. Wow, he is holding a very big ass stake...

Elijah looks up at me for a second before suddenly appearing a few steps down from us. Elena gasps, and jumps so high that I think she's doing a jumping jack. "What game are you playing with me?" Elijah demands, narrowing his eyes at me.

"I don't exactly know, maybe my own version of Call Of Duty or something." I smirk before pulling the grenade out and unlatching the safety pin. "I hope this burns, asshole." I mutter, throwing it directly at his face. Elena and I both dive to the ground as it goes off, not wanting to get hit with anything. I look up when I hear Elijah's screams of pain, and am met with a not-so-pretty sight. Elijah is glaring at me with a half burn off face, and it's super creepy.

I frown when his face heals almost instantly and he starts stalking closer to us. Right as I start to think Damon and Stefan left us to die, Stefan comes down the stairs, shooting Elijah with like, 20 wooden bullets. Most vampires would be dead from that many but they don't even slow Elijah down. Oh crap...

When Stefan realizes they aren't working, he goes for the more civilized approach. He runs full force at Elijah, tackling him down the stairs. They tumble down the stairs together, and I actually think Stefan may have a chance. But that all diminishes when Elijah is back on his feet before Stefan has even finished falling.

"Stefan." Elena whispers panicked, as she watches Elijah walk over to Stefan, ready to finish the job. Right as Elijah is about to kill Stefan, Damon runs at them with a very big stake in his hand, and stabs it through Elijah's heart. I watch, oddly satisfied as Elijah falls to the ground all grey and veiny.

Rose steps out of the shadows, watching as Elijah falls to the ground. Bet she's happy that ass is dead. Damon spots her, and she vanishes out of the room. He starts to go after her but I stop him. "Stop! Let her be." I tell him. I feel for her, I do.

I look at Damon and can't help the grin that comes onto my face. This is going to should so cliche but, what can I say, I did do it. I run down the stairs, and jump into Damon's arms, hugging him as tightly as I can.

"Are you hurt?" he asks, and I shake my head in reply.

"Thank you." I whisper, pulling away slightly so I can look into those amazing blue eyes. I lean up and give him a quick kiss on the lips. When I pull away, Damon is smirking.

I do not think I could have a better boyfriend.

-------------

I let my hair out of the towel, and look at myself in the mirror. These past few days have been...rough. At least some good things came out of them though, like locking Katherine up. That is an amazing thing. One of these days I'm going to have to go down and watch her be miserable. I'll even bring some popcorn.

I kind of forgave Bonnie a little when we got back. As soon as Elena and I got back, Bonnie and Jeremy were there to greet us. Since Bonnie sent the note and stuff, I figured I shouldn't be so hard on her. So I just told her we're still not friends, I just don't hate you anymore. See, we're making progress. I roll my eyes, at my own stupid thoughts and walk out of the bathroom.

"Cute PJ's." a voice comments, causing me to jump like Elena did earlier.

"Why are you so creepy?! You can't just show up in people's rooms like a stalker, Damon." I glare, not liking how he sometimes just appears. It's really creepy.

"Sorry, I just wanted to...talk, I guess." Damon admits, standing up from where he was sitting on my window ledge.

"What's wrong, Damon?" I frown not liking the sound of this. He sounds serious...serious is never good with Damon, like ever.

Damon looks down at the ground, shaking his head. When he looks back up at me, I swear his eyes are a little watery. "I love you Aria, and it's because I love you...that I can't be selfish with you. I don't deserve you, anyone deserves you more than me. Even Tyler. I'm a bad guy for you Aria. You should be with someone human, someone good. I-" I cut him off there, putting a finger to his lips.

"You're so wrong Damon, no one is better for me. You are not a bad guy, you just pretend to be one. I have never listened to what people said about you, because I know it's not true. I love you Damon, and nothing will ever stop me." I smile, and I see a single tear fall down Damon's face. I wipe the tear away, and lean up, kissing him.

I'm ready.... Without breaking our kiss, I push him towards my bed. He breaks the kiss, and looks at me questioningly. To answer his question, I start unbuttoning his shirt. He smirks and quickly pulls my tank top over my head, picking me up and setting me down on the bed.

He straddles me, and looks at me with a lust filled gaze. "Are you sure your ready for this?"

I bite my lip, and give him a small smile. "I'm ready."
