The story "Sangharsh" is set in 1570 in Hindustan and revolves around the character of Princess Prabhavathi of the kingdom of Prakaash Ghar. Captured and humiliated by King Gangadhar Rao, Patralekha remains defiant despite her captivity. She is eventually rescued by her fiancé, Uday Singh, and his militia, who break into the prison and free her. Upon her return home, Patralekha faces scorn and shame from her family and the court, who view her survival as a dishonor. A month later, she encounters King Dev Chandra Chauhan. Though they do not meet face-to-face, they share a meaningful conversation, and the king is impressed by her character. At the same time Musafir Ali Bano takes Agra and become the prince of the Mughal empire. Musafir and Prabhavati's lifes will now be entangled, with the two of them being the same age they both will have to take responsibilities for their land.
