Alden instantly knew Georgeâs thoughts.
He raised his eyebrows, and a menacing light was shown in his indifferent eyes. âGeorge, you seem
sure that Iâll lose.â
George was startled, but he held his fist in front of his lips and covered his awkwardness with a cough.
âAhem, why would I think that? Youâll surely win.â
Alden instantly rolled his eyes.
âOkay, Iâm going to board now. Stay in touch with me about Grapie,â Alden said.
He had returned on a temporary application, and there was still a pile of work awaiting him.
âGo ahead. Take care.â George urged. âDonât forget to track Mr. Rowan Craig.â
Alden snorted pridefully and said, âDo I need to do that? Isnât Everett better than me?â
When George heard this, he smiled.
This brat was holding a grudge.
âHow can that be? Youâre the top in the world.â
Alden ignored him. He waved at George and walked to the boarding gate without turning back.
George still flashed him a smile.
It was not until Aldenâs back also disappeared among the crowd that he turned back and raised his eyebrows in puzzlement.
It was strange. Aldenâs network skills were much better than his, and Alden was one of the red hackers who was internationally frightening.
Why would he reflexively think that Everett would win and Alden would lose?
He had to be possessed.
George sighed and shook his head. Just as he was about to leave, someone called him from the back.
âGeorge Winters!â
When George heard the familiar female voice, he instantly stopped walking. He turned around and looked over.
A woman with a tall figure and an indifferent, stunning appearance stood at the exit.
It was Raina.
Mr. Winters, who was always calm, instantly broke into a surprised smile. He was excited like a young man.
He strode over toward Raina quickly, and while everyone watched, he instantly held her in his arms.
The womanâs familiar scent lingered in his nose, and George felt his heart melt and tremble. His voice was husky as he asked, â
Arenât you taking the flight tomorrow? Why are you back so soon?â
âYou⦠Let go of me firstâ¦â
When Raina saw different strange gazes from her surroundings, her face turned red immediately. She pushed his broad chest as she said, âItâs⦠too crowded here. People are watchingâ¦â
))
âWhy? Is our brave Ms. Barlow shy now?â George loosened his grip but still held her waist aggressively. He looked down at her, and a happy smile formed at the corners of his lips. âTell me first.
Why did you come back earlier?â
âI⦠I just bought the ticket â¦â Raina looked away and did not want to see him.
âMy question is why you would come back early.â George kept probing. âI remember you being very
busy, and itâs not easy for you to take a few days off. Why would you still come back early? Why have
you returned in advance?â
He forcefully held her in his arms in the middle of the crowd, where people were walking back and
forth. He kept questioning her as if he wanted to force out some answers.
Rainaâs mind collapsed a little.
Was this man not always indifferent and unapproachable? Why was he so shameless now?
He was even more high -key than her in the past. Meanwhile, she was already not used to being so
highâprofile now.
âLetâs go back to the car first, okay?â Rainaâs expression was bitter as she coaxed him.
âJust talk here,â George said shamelessly.
âIâ¦â Raina covered her face and helplessly said, âI came back early because I miss you. Are you
happy now?â
George chuckled in a low voice.
He held her in his arms tightly again, and his eyes were full of joy.
âOkay, youâre a good girl. You should be this brave next time. You need to be honest.â
Right then, they heard some exclamations around them. Some people had already taken out their
phones and started filming. Some people even whistled and shouted, âKiss! Kiss!â
