About one and a half hours later, the Winters family sat at the dining table.

Ninian and Harold could not hold themselves back the most. They held the cutlery and started eating.

Other members of the Winters family still retained the elegance and demeanor that they should have, but their movements were significantly faster than in the past.

“Aww! It’s really delicious!” Ninian chewed the meat in his mouth while she said, “Mommy, your cooking skills are even better than the chefs in the state dinner. It’s been a long time since I last ate the food you cooked.”

Adina smiled faintly before she picked up a piece of fish and put it on Ninian’s plate. “Just eat as much as you like. It’ll help you to grow.”

Ninian was unrestrained as she stuffed everything into her mouth.

Looking at the happiness and satisfaction on her children’s faces as they ate, Adina smiled faintly.

However, her eyes were filled with guilt.

All these years, she would travel almost all year long due to her health and the need to look for a solution for the smart chip.

Leaving these children at home gave her great grief.

Even the mature and stable George and Alden were just young men in their twenties. They still needed their parents‘ comfort and help.

When Adina saw their childish demeanor, which they rarely showed, her eyes turned slightly red.

“If all of you like the meals that I cook, I’ll make them more often for you.”

Right after she said this, the siblings, from George to Ninian, paused in unison. They raised their heads and looked at her with disbelief and confusion in their eyes.

“Mom, did you say you’ll cook for us often?” George responded the quickest. He seemed to be calming down, but his voice was still unwittingly filled with caution and hope. “Are you saying that you’ll stay at home for some time?”

The others looked at her carefully too, while their eyes. were filled with expectation that was hard to mask.

“We won’t be staying for some time.” Adina smiled and looked into Duke’s eyes. While her kids looked disappointed, she added, “We’ll be staying at home from now on. We won’t be leaving anymore.”

Soon after, the disappointment in the siblings‘ eyes was instantly replaced with surprise.

“Ah! Mommy, are you really not leaving? Are you and Daddy going to stay at home and accompany us?”

Ninian could not be bothered with eating. She put down her cutlery, rushed over, held Adina, and kept acting cute.

Melody’s eyes also turned red. She opened her clear eyes widely and looked at Duke. “Daddy…”

When Duke saw his usually indifferent and aloof daughter looking like this, his heart melted. He got up, tussled her hair, and nodded as he firmly said, “We’ll stay at home to accompany you and witness the most important stage in your lives.”

Melody instantly sounded tearful. She held Duke’s waist, buried her face in his arms, and wept.

Harold jumped up, rushed forward, and held Duke and Adina who sat next to each other together.

“Sob! I’m so happy! Dad and Mom, you’re awesome!”

When he made this fuss which made them startled for a while, they just laughed.

This silly boy always ruined the moment.

George slammed the table and spoke impolitely. “Shut up. You sound unpleasant.”
