Task two/Ule ball

-Lilly's pov-

"This Bloddy egg" Harry screamed annoyed. Hermione and Ron were in the Lybrary doing reaserch. Harry and I were out side testing the egg. "Calm down Harry, just think it cant be impossible to solve" I said encouragingly. "Ugh" Harry sighed and sat down next to me.

The next day Slytherin was gatherd in the common room by Snape for an announcement. "Now my Slytherin's, on Christmass eve there is a school dance that alows us to enjoy a night of fun and festivities with the other schools" Snape started glumly while the Slytherin's stayed quiet.

"You represent Hogwarts and Slytherin so dont make a fool of your selves. Only fourth years and above can participate unless you are younger and are asked to the ball by an older student" Snaps said looking at crab and Goyl when he told us not to be fools.

He let us go not bothering us any more. I dont know who I want to go with. Maby I won't go, but no that's pointless. Ill see if any one ask me or if I can find someone to go with. "Hay Eadlyn are you and Draco going to go together" I asked smirking while nudging her. "Yes I am, are you and Potter going together" Eadlyn asked returning the smirk.

"Why would we" I asked raising an eyebrow. "I see the way you look at Harry, you like him" Eadlyn said walking away to go talk to Draco.

Hmm do I really like Harry? I mean yes he is a verry close friend of mine, but we cant be anything more than that right?

~*~ Harry's pov ~*~

"This Bloddy egg" I screamed annoyed. Why can't I figure out what its saying. Hermione and Ron were in the Lybrary doing reaserch. Lilly and I were out side testing the egg. "Calm down Harry, just think it cant be impossible to solve" Lilly said encouragingly with a small smile that made my insides flutter. "Ugh" I sighed and sat down next to Lilly.

Lilly really should be a Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff with her kindness and intelligence. But Hermione is the britest which here and she is a Gryffindor so I guess it dosent matter. Ill never understand the house logic in this school.

The next day Perfessor McGonicall collected all of Gryffindors 4th years and up and made an anouncement in an old class room about Dancing. She asked Ron to demonstrate how to dance with her. Haha Ron finally got his karma returned to him. I will never let him live this down and neither will the twins.

The thought of who was I going to ask to the ball came to me. I'm a nurvess wreck. I can't talk to girls unless there Hermione or Lilly. Ginny and I occasionly talk when she doesn't run from me. I really want to ask Cho to the dance but I'm nervous.

I aproched Lilly after finding her walking in the court yard. "Hay Lil do you think you can help me talk to girls" I asked quietly. "Whatever for, you talk to me and Hermione just fine" Lilly said arching an eyebrow. "I want to ask Cho to the dance but I don't know how" I said staring at Lilly's deep sparkling Blue eyes. I could of sworn that I saw a flicker of hurt disappointment flash in her eyes.

"Harry just be your self and ask her by simply saying 'will you go to the dance with me,' you faught a Dragon and defeated Voldimort at age of one you sould not have to fear a girl" Lilly said smiling. "I much rather take the Dragon" I mumbled. "What if she says no" I ask this critical question. "Then oh well, her lost, any one should be Happy to have you" Lilly said patting my arm and starting to walk away.

I think over her words as she walks away. Cedric came up to me and told me that the prefect bathroom was a nice place for a bath and to bring the egg with me after giving me the password. I was a bit clueless why he said that but I tried to do what ever Cedric said. Moaning myrtle made the bath awkward but she offerd some usefull help. I put the egg under watter and it sang the riddle to the next task.

When I told Lilly, Hermione, and Ron about Cedric and how I figured out the egg they were shocked. "Of course, there is a star fish lock on the top of it, how haven't I noticed it, it cant speek in air but in water it sings a riddle" Lilly said alowed. I told them the riddle that the egg had sang.

Now I must need to figure out how to breath under water for an hour.

-Lilly's pov-

Harry  aproched me  while I was walking around. "Hay Lil do you think you can help me talk to girls" Harry asked quietly. "Whatever for, you talk to me and Hermione just fine" I said arching an eyebrow curiously. "I want to ask Cho to the dance but I don't know how" Harry said staring at my eyes. That made my heart drop. I like Harry, I have a slight crush on him and I dont known if I could help him chase another girl without hurting myself.

"Harry just be your self and ask her by simply saying 'will you go to the dance with me,' you faught a Dragon and defeated Voldimort at age of one you sould not have to fear a girl" I said smiling trying not to scream at how much this is tareing my heart up.

"I much rather take the Dragon" Harry mumbled so Quietly I almost missed what ge said. "What if she says no" Harry asked. "Then oh well, her lost, any one should be Happy to have you" I said patting Harry's arm and starting to walk away Before something heavy hits me. I know I would be plenty happy to have Harry.

"LILLY" Harry shouted aproching me by the black lake. "Yes" I said sweetly turning around only to be toe to toe with him. My hair turned Red when I realized his closeness. Putting some space between us and nutralizing my hair to blond I asked, "whats wrong." "Cho said no and know I feel like a stupid git" Harry said putting a hand through his messy hair than sitting down.

I sat down next to him, "Harry its ok, just ask someone else" I said soothingly. "And besides if any one is a stupid git, it's Ron" I said trying to lighten the mood. Harry saterd at me in anoyence and that made my heart sink. "Who am I going to ask" Harry said desperately. "Howaboutme" I mutterd verry quietly slurring the words together so he didn't hear me.

"What, you actually want to go with me" Harry said his beautiful green eyes locking with mine. I nodded a small and slow yes. "Well than, that makes my life easyer, I'll just go with you and that way I'll have a friend to go with" Harry said smiling. The smille had my heart fluttering, but No HE DID NOT JUST FRIEND ZONE ME! Ugh am I that much of a loner.

Harry truly does have two left feet cause when we danced in the beginning I had to lead. And the hole night he was looking at Cho longingly and that made my heart hurt. I did not need this heart break.

For the most part me and Harry and I talked like old friends while evryone was dancing. Ron looked miserable and left early. Draco and Eadlyn were laughing at each other.

When I saw Rons robes for the first time on him I said, "Ron you look like my mum". When I got a wift of smell from him I said, "and,you smell like my mum too."  Ron glared at me while Harry was fidgeting laughs.

A few weeks latter my dad approached me with a grave face. "Sweethart I believe you are the most important person to Harry so you must be the treasure he has to retrieve in the second task" My dad said holding his wand.

"I will place a spell on you that will make you sleep until you reach air so you can breath under water, and no matter what you will be returned back" My dad continued. I nodded and gulped.

My dad placed a charm over me and I fell asleep into a black darkness.

When I came back up for air I gasped.  I hugged Harry tightly in thanks for saving me. I was so cold and Harry was seeming like he was generating off heat. I didn't want to let go.

And thats all for now my lovely readers. In the next chapter I will be covering up some dates and romance than the third task, along with finishing up year 4 sadly.
