The bustling halls felt like music to my ears and I walked down the hallway. Heads turned as I passed, mouths falling open.

Instead of my usual skinny jeans and baggy jumper, I wore a high waisted tight black skirt with a red satin singlet tucked into it. My boots clacked against the floor as I walked to my class, the tip of my ponytail brushing the back of my neck.

I adopted the usual pursed lips and always annoyed facial expression that all the popular girls had as I strode past them. "I have a question," a voice said, causing me to turn around.

Lucifer walked towards me, scowling at everyone who stared at me. "You do? How interesting..." I trailed off.

He narrowed his eyes at me. "Are you purposefully trying to get yourself suspended or worse, expelled?" He asked, crossing his arms.

"Not at all, in fact I'm not really wearing anything different than your girlfriend Caitlyn, difference is... I wear it better," I replied with sass, causing the group listening to gasp.

I gave Caitlyn a wink and Lucifer a smile, before twirling around and walking to class.

My social experiment was going well. The moment I had started to dress better, people noticed me and wanted to talk to me. A few girls from Caitlyn's click even invited me out after school, to which I politely declined.

I found Caitlyn's eyes on me, almost all the time now. Glaring, and seeming to wait.

When she finally mastered the fear of me, she stopped me in the hallway.

"You know, we all knew you were a slut, now you dress like one," Caitlyn said with her air of shittiness.

"Oh thank you Queen Caitlyn, as Queen of Sluts, I thought you hadn't noticed," I replied, pressing my hand to my chest for dramatic affect.

She scowled. "You know, you'll never ever be better than me, because no one wants you, so you can dress as pretty as you want, we all know you're ugly still," Caitlyn scoffed before clicking her fingers.

The group moved away as I smiled. Caitlyn had given me part 2 of my social experiment.

Take down the Queen of the school.

Feeling eyes on me, I turned my head to see Chase watching me.

He was surrounded by his school friends, all acting like idiots. Tilting my head, I gave him a small smile before walking towards my next class.

To dethrone the Queen, I needed to take away her King, James Mareno. Something told me this was going to be easier than expected because half of me knew that James wasn't all that into Caitlyn, he just didn't like being alone.

As the day ended and I was walking out the front door with my head held high, someone grabbed my elbow, pulling me back.

I whirled around. "What are you planning?" Chase asked, narrowing his eyes.

"I don't know what you're talking about," I replied, slightly confused.

"I can see the little wheels in your head turning, I know you're doing something and I'll make it my mission to find out what," Chase said firmly.

I narrowed my eyes at him. "Good luck with that," I replied.

He let me go and I hurried off into the crowd. As quickly as I had said goodbye to one Mareno brother, I ran into another. "Watch it, babydoll," James said as he caught me.

I scowled and stepped back. "Don't call me that," I replied straightening my clothes.

James's eyes wandered over me as I stepped back. "Should watch where you're going, we don't need you falling for me now, do we?" He asked, his teeth glinting as he smiled at me.

Two could play at that game.

I smiled back and stepped forward again, getting really close, placing my hand on his chest. His eyes widened slightly as he watched, before he narrowed them at me. "Aww James, I don't think you could handle me, so best leave it to the professionals," I replied before stroking a finger down the side of his face.

He jolted with a look of surprise. He caught my wrist before I could pull away. "You're playing a very dangerous game, baby, Caitlyn shouldn't be messed with and neither should I," he said, as his blue orbs stared into mine.

I stared back. "Don't call me baby, I'm not your baby," I replied, harshly as I pulled my arm out of his grip.

I stalked away from him, not knowing he turned his mouth into a smirk. "Not yet," he had said.

Walking home felt nice, it was always nice to clear your thoughts for a while as you looked at the scenery and listened to the birds. Of course in this town, the forest boarded the highway and it wasn't as peaceful as I claimed, but I could pretend.

Today's events had given me something to think about. I needed to take down Caitlyn, but taking away James. But making him hate her wasn't going to be easy, I needed another tactic, something that would cause more damage to Caitlyn.

Chase knew something was up, and if I immediately started being the complete opposite of who I am, he'd know what I was doing straight away. I needed to be patient and slow about this.

James thought this was a game, but it wasn't. It was an experiment. An experiment to see if some low life like me could take down the Queen Bee, without actually having to deal with her personally. James was the key, I knew he was.

He had more influence over the entire school than the Principal. I just didn't know how I was going to accomplish that.

I sighed as I tried to not think about James. I hated him so much but I knew everytime I was near him, he had some kind of affect on me. I was hoping he had an affect on everyone, until of course we kissed at the party one time.

That's it!

That's how I was going to take down Caitlyn!

I had to make James Mareno fall in love with me!

I also had to hide my plan from eveyone, try not to change too much to cause suspicion and at the same time, I had to much sure the fall out wasn't going to hurt anyone.

This was going to be easy, right?
