Chapter 41: Bloody Revelations

Monster High: A New Start (Male Reader)Words: 8507

You dragged yourself through the halls with Deuce walking alongside you. Having not slept the night before due to looking for you, he decided you join you to ask your uncle and Dracula what was happening to you. It was also made clear that no one was actually attending class today. What day was it?

Deuce: I sent a message to the group chat.

You stopped walking and sighed.

Y/N: I think I lost my phone.

Deuce placed a supportive hand on your shoulder. It was a rough night.

You finally reached the headmaster's office only to find it locked. You pulled on the handle and began to frantically yank on it before Deuce smacked your hand.

Deuce: They're probably not here if it's Saturday.

Saturday? It was the weekend? That would mean that they were probably back at Dracula's. That was across town.

You dropped to your knees before sobbing. Why was life so hard? Deuce picked you up and carried you over his shoulder before heading out to make his journey across town.

You sat shirtless while your uncle checked your wounds. Draculaura had already filled them in on what happened the night before when she arrived this morning. She was currently asleep upstairs, also having spent the night looking for you.

Helsing: Impressive. It looks like some tissue scaring, but it doesn't look like it goes beyond that.

He pulled away and rubbed his chin.

Helsing: Well need to get you a new phone, though.

Dracula: I'll arrange it.

You looked up to see Dracula walking in with his book. After learning of happened, he immediately got to work with finding out what was happening to you.

Deuce: So, is Y/N a vampire or what?

Dracula: He's a "or what".

Dracula sat beside Helsing and set the book down. You all looked at the pages and found that there was a drawing. It was of a strange looking creature that appeared to be dropped in leather armor with an evil look in it's eye.

Dracula: This is what is known as a Blood Fiend. Creatures that should no longer exist.

Everyone looked at you. You never heard of this before. A Blood Fiend? That would explain the whole...blood thing. So you weren't even a vampire.

Deuce: So, why shouldn't the exist?

Helsing: Because they require old magic. Something that also shouldn't exist anymore.

Old magic? That didn't make sense. You didn't have any magic. But, there was that dream. The one where you were a child. That boy, the one who called you Oscar, he did something to you. Could that have been old magic? Did it affect your body?

Dracula: Seems like Elissabat's royal blood helped to activate this change.

Y/N: So, I'm not a vampire?

Dracula: It doesn't seem so. But, only the four of us know this. As long as you keep quiet about it, you'll keep your title as Vampire Lord.

That was a plus.

Deuce: Consider it something that will die with me. But, uh, what does this mean?

Helsing: It means that Y/N has just become a massive target. The Monster Hunting Association would want to either eliminate him or take him in to use as a weapon.

Y/N: Because I can pretty much turn into any monster?

Helsing held up his index finger.

Helsing: With one drop of blood. So, keep this quiet.

Y/N: You don't need to tell me twice.

Dracula: But, this does leave one question unanswered. The one who brought the Cerberus to the grand opening.

The dog in question lifted his heads. His tail was wagging side to side in happiness. After very little convincing, your uncle and Dracula allowed you to keep him. But, you were still very much in the dark as to who was responsible for the whole thing.

No clues, no theories, nothing.

Dracula: We'll look into it. You two should get some rest.

You and Deuce shared a look before deciding to take their advice. You both got up while Dracula and Helsing headed down to talk in the library. You and Deuce did a quick handshake before snapping.

Y/N: I'll send you my new number once I get one.

Deuce: Sounds good. Go get some sleep. I'm probably gonna pass out til Monday.

Y/N: Word.

Deuce took his leave before you headed upstairs to your room. You entered and closed the door behind you, tossing your shirt to the side and immediately dropping onto you bed, only to heard a cry.

You jumped up and landed on the floor while whoever was sleeping in your bed sat up.

Elissabat: Y/N?

You barely got a single letter out before she tackled you into a hug. You were once again on the floor.

Elissabat: Thank Unholy Lord you're back. I was so worried when I heard you had disappeared.

So, she didn't know about the whole werewolf thing. Dracula probably told the others to keep it quiet just like he did to you and Deuce. When she pulled away she saw the new scar on your chest as well as the lighter scar on your cheek. She was once again worried, but you eased her woes when you gently grabbed her hand. Your memories were still a bit blurry from the night before, but you do remember something happening between the two of you.

Y/N: You can rest easy. Your Royal Guard ain't dead yet. But, uh, why were you sleeping in my bed?

It looked like she was wearing the same outfit from the night before. But, she also smelt, like you? You too another sniff and sure enough you spelt yourself. It wasn't the bed either. You had washed it before the week started. The smell was coming from her skin.

Elissabat flinched when you leaned closer and began to sniff her. She had no idea what you were doing, and honestly neither did you. But you followed a your scent up her body until you opened your eyes to find that you were mere inches from her face. The trail ended on her....lips......

Y/N: Wait, did...did we kiss?

You stopped when you saw the tears in her eyes. Elissabat couldn't look away. Did you really not remember what happened? Did what happen during the attack really make you forget your time with her?

Elissabat wiped her eye as you began to reach out toward her. You...you stopped yourself.

Y/N: I'm sorry. To be honest, most of last night is a blur right now.

Elissabat: It's okay. I get it.

Y/N: I'm sorry.

Elissabat: I know.

She got to her feet and started to head to the door.

Elissabat: I should get cleaned up. And you should get some sleep. I'm glad you're okay.

You heard the door close and you let out a groan. You dragged yourself to your bed and laid down. Rest sounds good. You'll deal with everything else later. You just wanted to sleep.

In a dark room, a figure draped in shadows flipped a coin around in his fingers. He stared intensly at something before flicking the coin right into the picture of Monster High. He growled under his breath before the door opened, catching his attention.

Lilith entered the room before stopping and holding her hands behind her back. She looked scared. Good.

Lilith: You summoned me?

The man hummed. He began to tap his fingers on the desk.

???: I wanted to know how last night went. At the Crypt.

Lilith knew where this was going. He wanted to hear from her what had happened.

Lilith: Well, my plan with the Cerberus kind of worked.

The tapping stopped.

???: "Kind of"? What do you mean "kind of"?

Lilith: Well, you see, we were successful in disrupting the opening.

???: And the boy?

Lilith hesitated. This was all he needed to know. He rose from his desk and began to walk around, his face still covered in shadow. He stood before a board where pictures of specific targets were hung. Among them were faces you knew.

Dracula, Helsing, Draculaura, Frankie, Clawdeen, Deuce, Cleo, Lagoona, Bloodgood, and Abbey. But, the picture above them all, the direct target, was you. The man examined the pictured before he sighed.

???: If I didn't know any better, dear Lilith, I'd say that your feelings for this boy are conflicting with our mission.

Lilith stayed silent as the man walked over to her. He placed his hands on her shoulder from behind before he took a deep breath.

???: You don't seem to understand why he's so dangerous. His influence is not to be underestimated.

Lilith winced when his grip got tighter.

???: He is not only affiliated with Helsing anymore. He has Lord Dracula and the Vampire Queen herself. His influence is too strong.

He began to walk to the otherside of the room. He then looked at the painting of his ancestor.

???: It's people like him that caused the Great Scare. And that's why.....

He turned and threw his knife. It narrowly avoided Lilith's face and instead stabbed into your picture perfectly in you head. He then stepped into the light, glaring at your image.

???: Y/N Van Helsing must die. And I, Van Hellscream, shall be the one to do it.
