âDonât growl in here,â I snapped.
He grabbed my hand and turned around but the other guy was standing in front of him. He smiled at Kade and stepped closer.
âSorry Alpha but sheâs coming with us.â He said and his eyes started glowing but not normal. They were blue as ice and he smiled when he looked past Kade and locked eyes with me.
Kade growled and his fist went flying against the guys jaw.
Annas eyes finally opened and she stared bewildered at the scene in front of her. I reached out and grabbed her arm, pulling her after me.
All of the men I had seen earlier suddenly showed up again and covered the exits.
Kade turned his head quickly and cast me a glance.
âDo not move.â He growled and I listened. I pulled Anna closer so that her side was pressed against mine. The men were fighting but they all smiled even when they got hit. One of them that stood by the entrance through me a wink and then turned around. The others just stopped and stared at us before turning around and walking away.
We were stunned and didnât know what to do but Kade went after them.
âDonât let them leave.â He said to Mason who went with him outside.
âWhat the hell was that?â I didnât know what to tell Anna and I didnât feel like saying anything right now. I just wanted to get everyone out of here. She turned around pulled away from me.
âWhere are you going?â I asked and grabbed her hand.
âThe bathroom, donât worry, Iâll be quick,â
âIâll come with you,â Claire placed her hand on my arm and shook her head.
âI have to pee too so Iâll go with her. Iâm pretty sure Kadeâs gonna wanna see you right here when he gets back,â she said and winced.
I turned to Cara who stood with her arms crossed over her chest.
âWhat the hell were you thinking?â She asked.
âThat I wanted to have fun?â I said and shrugged a shoulder.
âHe told you not to leave,â
âAnd i forgot. Whereâs the crime in that?â I felt myself getting agitated by all of these reminders. I wasnât their pet, I was a person who wanted a fun night out.
My body stiffened and the hairs on my body rose as spikes against the ceiling. I felt him behind me, his breath fanned my neck and his hand grabbed roughly around my waist.
âLetâs go.â He said.
âAnnaâs in the bathroom, Iâm not leaving without her,â
âToo bad.â He grabbed my arm and pulled me after him.
âNo! Let go of me!â
I pulled my arm free but Kade grabbed my waist and pulled me into his body.
âDo you have idea how badly this couldâve gone?â
âNo, because youâre withholding things from me so how the hell was I supposed to know?â
Our eyes searched each other and he leaned down to my ear.
âYou either come with me right now or-â his fingers dug into my waist and I yelped.
â-i rip that skimpy little dress off and fuck you right here on the floor. I donât mind the spectators,â the anger that laced his words were eminent and a shiver circled down my spine.
âIâm not leaving without Anna,â I breathed and his hand went around my back and grabbed a hold of the dress.
Kade leaned back, his eyes narrowed in on mine.
âWhen we get home, youâre burning that dress.â He growled and stepped back.
âIs everything okay?â Anna and Claire were back and we all headed out. Kade didnât say another word, not until we were back in the room.
âWhat do you think youâre doing?â He asked as I put the dress on a hanger.
âPutting the dress away,â
âI donât remember that being the deal,â he walked over to me and scanned the dress. I rolled my eyes and shook my head.
âThere was no deal, you told me what you wanted me to do from your viewpoint as a jealous mate. Donât worry-â I said and cupped his cheek. I felt the grin grew on my face and get deeper.
â-others get to see me in it but I only ever take it off for you.â I said and flicked my tongue.
Kade ripped the dress from my hands and tossed it aside. His hand came around the back of my head and his lips came slamming down on mine.
âGood morning sunshine,â my eyes fluttered open and the smell of freshly brewed coffee filled the room. Kade came up on the bed with a tray of scones, jam, cream cheese and two cups of coffee.
âWhatâs this?â He winced and placed the tray down.
âYesterday morning I didnât want to leave but I had to. I hated leaving you after weâd slept together, especially considering it was your first time so Iâm doing it right today instead,â I gasped and gazed at him.
âYou donât have to do that,â I said and smiled.
âI want too,â he brought up a scone and put on all the fixens.
We sat there talking all morning and ate our breakfast. Only when we had too, which was when Kadeâs eyes glazed over and he received a mind link, did we stop.
He sighed and slowly removed the cover from his body.
âI gotta go, pack business but Iâll be done around six and Iâll take you out,â he leaned down and placed a kiss on my cheek before leaving.
I ate another strawberry and when the door closed I started excitingly jumping in the bed and slimming my arms back and forth. This giddy feeling that engulfed me was causing every nerve in my body dance in happiness and through I was sore I wanted to move every muscle. I was happy, so damn happy.
I took a shower and got dressed. Just as I walked outside into the hallway i saw Cara passing by.
âHey, have you seen Anna?â I asked her and she smiled.
âSheâs practicing, said she wanted to join our warriors so I said why not. Are you interested?â
I saw someone walking down the stairs, it was a warrior in his gear but I recognized him. He was one of the leaders so what was he doing upstairs?
âUhm maybe tomorrow, yeah?â I said and Cara smiled before walking off to the field to join the others.
I walked up the stairs and leaned over the railing. I saw someone else up there on the top floor, he was holding something. Another warrior walked down and gave me a quizzical look but I smiled and he bowed his head before continuing down.
I couldnât help my curiosity over the fifth floor. It was so secretive and with nothing else to do I figured why not? Kade had promised to tell me everything about the werewolves from the club later tonight when everyone was free so I knew Iâd get answers.
Which only left more room for me to wonder what the hell that was up there.
