A-bby's POV

————————

The next morning, Mothership beamed us down to tell Addison the news.

"With the reactor damaged, there is a 67.9% chance that we will not have enough energy to leave orbit." A-li told her

"We must try. The longer we wait, the worse our odds."

"Okay." She replied

She had her suitcase next to her, packed with everything she needed. The cheer team came up to her, Bree first to speak.

"Think of me when you use them." She told her, handing her a pair of Pom-Pom's. "They're supposed to shake, not me."

"Aww. I'll miss you, Bestie." Addison said, hugging her tightly.

"Oh, I'll miss you, extra-terestie."

"We are the Mighty Shrimp. Couldn't be prouder. And if you can't hears us, we'll cheer a little louder." They cheered

Zed walked up to her, a bag on his shoulder.

"I don't wanna leave, but the aliens need to find their home." Addison told him

"Yeah. I know. Which is why I'm coming with you!"

"What?"

"It is impossible, Zed." A-lan told him

"Only our species is capable of space travel on the Mothership. You'd be fried by our stardust energy in a minute." I explained

"I was afraid we would be separated by a couple hundred miles when you went to college." Zed said to Addison

"Now, we'll be galaxies away." Addison pouted, putting her finger up in an E.T. way.

Zed did the same, but like last time her got shocked again.

"Core reactor's shutting down. Emergency systems activated." Mothership said

"We must leave now." A-li panicked

"Even with our stardust power depleted, we must risk it." A-lan told them

A truck came up, honking at us, while the wolves howled.

"Bonzo! You got your license! Show-off!" Bree cheered

"My rage will not be contained!" I said angrily, noticing the wolves.

"You will not stop us from getting to Utopia!" A-li shouted

A-lan and A-spen walked up to us, A-lan putting a hand on my shoulder, and his other one on my face to make me look at him. His look alone, made me calm down, and I turned back to the situation.

"We're actually here to help." Wyatt told us

"You can find and infinite power source to recharge our ship?" A-li asked

"Wolves! We'll let you borrow the moonstone." Willa said

"Thought you might need a jump-start."

"The moonstone is powerful, but it is harmful to our people." A-lan told them

"Not if you have an adapter." Eliza said, rolling up with the robot. "We just have to filter the moonstone power through put Z-bands."

"You all would sacrifice to help us?" A-spen asked

"Wolves always have each other's back, and Addison's a part of our pack. Forever." Willa said

"Wyatt?" Eliza spoke

"Yeah?"

"I like-like you too." She told him

"Awooo."

"Transport us up, Mothership. All of us." I told her

—————————————————————————

It took a while, but we got everything hooked up.

"Only our people can connect to the ship's stardust reactor. But unfortunately the moonstone's power is lethal to us. But your being half human might just work. You'll be a living bridge." A-lan told her

"Addison can do it."

"Yes. She's an alien."

"And a cheerleader."

"And a part of our pack."

"You were born for this." Zed told her

A-lan gave her one side of the adapter, while I was holding the second. I held up the second one, while I looked at her. She grabbed a hold of it, while I quickly took my hand away.

Addison grunted in pain as she held on for as long as she could. The pain seemed to get too much for her and she let go of one side.

"I couldn't hold in! It's too much power!" She told us

"We must reestablish the connection now, or all is lost."

Zed ran over to her and grabbed the other side.

"Take my hand. The power can flow through me."

"You'll be fried in a minute!" She told him

"It's gonna be okay."

She hesitated, but grabbed Zed's hand. They both yelled in pain, well Zed growled. After a while, they both let go, and everything turned on.

"We're at full charge!" I cheered

"Mama's back." Mothership said

"We must launch now!"

"Alright, preparing to take off."

Everyone but Zed got beamed down. Noticing everyone else gone, Zed and Addison both ran to the beam section.

"Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one." Mothership counted down.

"I feel bad for Addison and Zed." I said

"Yeah."

—————————————————————————

After a while, A-lan, A-spen, A-li, Addison, and I were at the center console.

"Mothership's almost calculated the coordinates to Utopia. She's having trouble extracting the coordinates from Addison's DNA. We've been stuck at 97% complete for a while." A-lan said, earning a groan from A-li.

"Oh, come one, Mothership!" She yelled

I chuckled at her actions, while A-lan gave her a stern look.

"Awooo." She said, calming herself before slamming her hand onto the console.

"That does work!" I said happily

"Right! Only a few more minutes now."

"I've been thinking. Why didn't your grandmother just tell us that you were the map? Why make out search so difficult?" A-spen asked Addison

"Maybe she thought there was something to learn by staying in Seabrook for a while." Addison answered before accessing the mind probes.

We all looked at the memories of the people that are there, keeping our thoughts to ourselves, until A-lan spoke up.

"I will miss your friends, but not the discord in your people. In Utopia we will never have conflict."

"But sometimes you need conflict." Addison commented

"Need it?" I asked

"Look what happened once we overcame our differences."

"You became friends."

"We did. Together, we made progress. Have conflict isn't always bad. Being challenged sometimes pushed us to be better." Addison told us

"This is true."

"No one spoke up while our planet suffered. All because we didn't want to create disharmony." I said

"And now our planet's gone."

"Harmony isn't silence. Unity isn't sameness. Love is powerful. It can handle disagreements." A-spen said, looking at us.

Addison's eyes widened before speaking.

"I know where my grandma wanted her people to live! The most perfectly imperfect place there is." Addison told us before pulling up a picture of earth.

"Yes. You have found our new home."

"Take us there, Mothership." A-spen told her

"Please." A-li added

—————————————————————————

We all got beamed down by the group, their eyes widening in surprise.

"Addison!"

"You came back!" Zed said before kissing her

"You thought I was gonna let intergalactic space travel get in the way of graduating?" She said

"But what about Utopia?" Willa asked

"Seabrook is our Utopia."

"But Seabrook isn't a perfect place." Bree told us

"It's not. It's messy, emotional..."

"Full of surprises."

"Where change can happen."

"Where someday can be today."

"What a perfect place to call home. Now I'm fine. I'm fine. I'm just one proud Mothership. I love you kids." Mothership said

"Party!" Everyone cheered

In all of the excitement A-lan pulled me to make me face him before blurting out

"I love you."

The group got silent, hearing those words. Smiles and shocked faces everywhere.

"What?"

"I said, I love you. At lot." He repeated

"I love you too." I said, a smile growing in my face.

He leaned down and pulled me in for a kiss. I was shocked at first but melted into it. The wolves howled and the rest cheered and clapped around us, enjoying the moment.

"Finally!" A-li shouted. We broke apart and gave her a look

"What? You can't blame me, you both were getting real annoying with the side smiles and the looks every time you'd see each other." She defended

We all chuckled and went to party with everyone. Never been to a party before, but it was super fun, and I didn't know A-spen could dance. Over all, amazing day.
