Mrs. Hoffmanâs intentions were very simple: if they were really going to transfer the ownership rights to the car racing club, she would minimize the profits so that Paul wouldnât make any money!
Before she could dial Noraâs number, however, Jordan stopped her.
Mrs. Hoffman looked up to see Jordan with a serious look on her face. With a frown, she said, âDonât call Miss Smith yet.â
Mrs. Hoffman was taken aback. âHave you thought of a solution, Jordan?â
Jordan took a deep breath and said, âIâll go to the Quinn School of Martial Arts first and see if we can work with them instead!â
Mrs. Hoffman frowned. âWeâre going to let the Quinn School of Martial Arts keep part of the dividends without any input on their part?â
Jordan let out a sigh. âWe have no choice. What kind of status do you think the Quinn School of Martial Arts has? In the face of the powerful, we can only stand back and cede the profits. Besides, they may not even give us that chance. Donât forget that Paul is their unofficial disciple, while we are nothing to them.â
Mrs. Hoffman clenched her jaw, but in the end sighed and nodded.
A determined Jordan quickly looked for someone to go to the Quinn School of Martial Arts to find out who he should talk to about such matters.
There were also disciples of the Quinn School of Martial Arts among the Hoffmans; they just werenât known within the sect. However, they still had connections in the cult, so they quickly found the information they wanted through those connections.
âLucas is in charge of all miscellaneous matters for the Quinn School of Martial Arts now, but he has made it clear before that the sect will not take part in any sectarian disputes.â
The disciple frowned and continued. âHowever, the Quinn Martial Arts School does indeed receive a sum of money in its accounts every month, and it is not a small sum. Everyone secretly assumes that it is Paul Quinlan who provides them with the money.â
Jordan understood what he was implying.
The Quinn School of Martial Arts had strict rules, and it was imperative that they abide by the rules they had publicly stated. Therefore, they would definitely not accept his peace offering, because it would be too obvious otherwise.
However, this was different in Paulâs case. Not only did he maintain close ties with the Quinn School of Martial Arts, but he also maintained frequent contact with Lucas. As long as neither party admitted it, no one would know about it!
Jordan was so frightened that he paced around the room. He asked, âIs there no way to get in touch with Lucas?â
His subordinate replied, âLucas and Paul Quinlan get along very well. Besides, Lucas does things fairly and by the book, so thereâs no way to convince him. Butâ¦â
Jordan prompted anxiously. âBut what?â
His subordinate replied, âI heard that Big Sister Quinn of the Quinn School of Martial Arts is back in town. Big Sister has a very high position in the sect. If we can get in touch with her, it wonât be impossible for us to replace Paul Quinlan.â
âBig Sisterâ¦â
Jordan muttered the two words over and over. Then, he sighed. âBut where are we going to find this so-called Big Sister? Has any particularly powerful and impressive woman recently appeared in New York?â
A particularly powerful and impressive woman?
Mrs. Hoffman unconsciously thought of Nora, but immediately shook her head. If Nora was the car racer Jordan had been talking about, then she couldnât be the Big Sister or whatever her name was anymore, could she?
Besides, it seemed that her profession was that of a doctor!
He sighed. âI donât have any impressions of anyone like that.â
Jordan waved his hand and ordered, âAll right, thatâs enough. Have all our men search for Big Sister. I just donât think we canât find her if we really look everywhere for her.â
âYes sir!â

At the Andersonâs house, when Nora woke up after sleeping in for another day, she saw a text message on her phone. It was from Pete. He wrote, âMommy, Iâm at Quinn School of Martial Arts.â
Nora was taken aback for a moment. She looked at the time: it was only four oâclock in the afternoon.
Classes were about to end for Cherry. It looked like she would be just in time for the two boys to change places if Pete wanted to come.
She was too lazy to write, so instead she sent a voice message, âPick you up?â
Pete was probably training at the time, so he didnât respond to her message in time. Only ten minutes later, when Nora came out of the bathroom after rinsing her face, she saw his reply, âIâm fine with either case. Ask Cherry.â
Nora raised her eyebrows.
Unexpectedly, her son really did have a sister complex.
She had subtly used a soothing fragrance of her own making to calm and quiet her sonâs mind when he was with her. Also, in the garden he was slowly opening up to the world and his autism was improving.
When she thought about that, she felt it was better for him to be by her side for the time being.
Besidesâ¦
Cherry had always been by his side since he was born. He also wanted Pete to come so he could make up for everything he owed her for the past five years.
Yes, it definitely wasnât because Cherry was too loud, whereas Pete was just right.
With that in mind, Nora sent another voicemail, âIâll come pick you up.â
She went downstairs and out in the jeep. First she went to the garden to pick up Cherry after her lessons. The little girl hopped and bounced as she walked, giving her an adorable, lively look. After saying goodbye to all her friends, she finally got into the car.
Tanya also put on a shocked expression. âDid hell freeze over today, did you really come to pick us up?â.
Noraâs lips curved into a smile. She replied, âI didnât come to pick you up. You go home by yourself.â
Tanya, â?????â
Nora nodded to Cherry and asked, âAre we going to the Quinn School of Martial Arts?â
Cherry nodded immediately.
It was great to be at the Hunts. Not only did she not have to go to the garden, but she could even play after only three hours of school a day. Besides, her handsome dad never made her do anything she didnât want to do!
Instead he let Pete go to kindergarten.
When the two arrived at Quinn School of Martial Arts, Lucas rushed out to greet them. When he saw Nora, he immediately greeted her respectfully. âThere you are Miss Smith!â
Nora let out a sound of acknowledgement and took the initiative to walk to the front quietly.
Cherry followed obediently behind her.
Lucas said, âEveryone wants to meet you after hearing youâve come to New York.â
âTurn them down,â replied a direct and determined Nora. There were so many people at Quinn School of Martial Arts; how much trouble would it be if she had to meet them all? She wasnât to let anyone discover her identity.
The corners of Lucasâs lips tightened slightly. He had long known well what Nora was like, so instead he said, âBy the way, this monthâs funds have been credited to the accounts. Is the amount greater than last monthâs?â
Nora let out an âohâ and replied nonchalantly, âDonât let any children come and bother the sect. Iâm not short of money.â
Lucas, â!!!!â
The corners of his lips tightened. He nodded and said, âOkay, then Iâll cancel the classes for the children of the unofficial disciples.â
Then he explained, âThe cult is not holding classes for them for the money Miss Smith. We are doing it for free. It was because the unofficial disciple begged the sect to help him, so I gave him special permission this time.â
âOh.â
Nora didnât have much of an opinion on these matters. It was fine as long as they didnât bother the elder about it, and in turn, make him insist that he return to take care of those miscellaneous matters.
After going inside, he dropped Cherry off with Quinn, picked up Pete and turned to leave.
Meanwhile, Justin had arrived as well.
Even as the car pulled up, he was still wondering who he would meet after he entered the cult: was it going to be his sweet, tender daughter, or the stinky brat?
However, it wasnât that he disliked Pete or anything. It was just that he still hadnât had enough of spending time with his daughter after realizing he had a cute and cuddly little girl. Besides⦠Nora was a doctor, so she could treat Peteâs illness if he stayed by her side. Evidently, Peteâs symptoms of depression had improved when he returned recently. Also, his grades hadnât dropped either.
While he was thinking about it, he entered the cult. As soon as he did, he saw Nora and Pete walking toward himâ¦..
