Roger was taken aback. âWhat?â
Justin looked at him.
He hadnât brought Pete and Nora home yet, so he wasnât supposed to let Roger know that the two kids looked alike. Otherwise, considering how smart he was, he would quickly realize that Cherry wasnât Pete.
He would make trouble for Nora when that happened. It would be terrible if he accidentally hurt them both.
However, the moment he thought of that, Justin suddenly remembered that Nora was the Big Sister at Quinn Martial Arts School. In the event that Roger actually sent someone to end Peteâs life, he calculated that he would probably be the one who would end up hurt instead.
In any case, this was still a lot of trouble, and that woman hated trouble the most.
He coughed and refrained from answering.
As for Roger, he seemed to understand something after processing Justinâs words. âAre you saying sheâs not going to bring her daughter when she marries you? So, the child will stay with the Andersons? This isnât a question of one child or money; after all, how much money can one child spend? Justin, the fundamental problem here is that woman? Come on, Grandma, talk to him!â.
Elder Mrs. Hunt frowned. She very much disapproved of this marriage, but still, she could not embarrass Justin in front of Roger. Therefore, she said, âThis is Justinâs housekeeping business, why donât you leave for now?â
Roger nodded and left the room.
When he left, the old woman reached out her finger and poked Justin. âYou⦠Are you really going to marry that woman?â.
Justin let out a sigh. His tone became more intimate and he said, âGrandma itâs still too early to talk about marriage!â.
Mrs. Hunt was surprised. âHuh, what do you mean, I knew you were just fooling around and werenât serious about her? Youâre just going out with her for funâ¦?â
Justinâs face twitched a little. He was quick to interrupt her and said, âNo, itâs because Iâm still trying to win her over.â
Elderly Mrs. Hunt, ââ¦â
Justin sighed. âSheâs not interested in me.â
ââ¦â
Mrs. Hunt felt as if she had just heard the worldâs biggest joke. Utterly astonished, she replied, âIs there really a woman in New York who isnât interested in you?â
Her grandson was known to have a high IQ and was very outstanding in every way. Add to this his good looks, and daughters from all the wealthy families flocked to him, even though he already had a son.
Over the years, there was no shortage of those who came to her to ask her secretly or openly about their matrimonial affairs, to recommend possible candidates, or even to recommend themselves!
Even the Smithsâ girl⦠was interested in him.
The Hunts and the Smiths were actually a good match for each other.
It was a pity that the Smithsâ girl was an adopted daughterâ¦. Otherwise, they would have fit together quite well as both young men were extraordinary. Of course, this was all just his own opinions. She had also asked her grandson for his opinion back then, but unfortunately, he was not interested in her.
But now, was there someone who wasnât interested in her grandson?
Was she playing hard to get, or was she really not interested in him?
Mrs. Hunt immediately dismissed one of the two possibilities as soon as she thought about them. There was no way her grandson wouldnât notice if she was just playing hard to get.
Nowadays, he was even better at reading people than she was!
This piqued the old womanâs curiosity. âThat makes me very curious about that young lady. Bring her home and let me take a look at her sometime.â
Justin nodded. âNo problem.â
As Justin left, the old lady had someone come over and instructed, âSomeone look into Nora Smith.â
âYes maâam.â
The old woman frowned.
While her grandsonâs happiness was important, so was the Huntsâ honor!
Even if that woman was terrific, the fact that she had given birth to another manâs daughter would remain her dark pastad, would cause her to be mocked and laughed at for a lifetime.
She was not optimistic about the two.
Therefore, she intended to seek an opportunity to meet Miss Smith and her daughter.

Meanwhile, back at the villa on the outskirts.
Nora was leaning on the couch and nodding off. Next to her, Tanya had already taken Pete upstairs.
In the last few days she had tidied up the three bedrooms upstairs. Apart from the master bedroom, intended for her, she converted one of the bedrooms into a boyâs bedroom and the other into a girlâs bedroom.
She led Pete into the boysâ room and asked, âDo you like it?â
Pete looked at the room, which was entirely decorated in blue. The bed was even Captain America themed. The boy, who was a little speechless, replied, âHow childish.â
Tanya curved her lips in disdain, âYouâre too precocious for your age boy! Howâs your room decorated at the Huntsâ?â.
Pete replied, âItâs decorated in shades of black, white and gray, which are classier. Iâll take you there somedayâ¦â
At that point he paused.
⦠Because she suddenly remembered that the tyrant had already changed the decoration of her room to Cherryâs taste!!!!
The whole room was pink!!!!!
The corners of Peteâs lips gave a little twitch. Then, he asked, âWho is this room for?â.
Tanyaâs eyes looked a little lost but they were also determined. She replied, âItâs for my son!â.
Pete, â?â
He was taken aback. âYou have a son?â
Tanya hesitated for a moment before replying, âIt may also be a daughter, so Iâve also prepared a girlâs room. When Cherry comes back, Iâll ask her whether she likes it or not.â
She would definitely find her son!
And once she did, the boy would immediately have his own room!
She wanted to give her son all the motherly love she owed him all these years.
The thought had just formed when her phone rang. When she answered the call, Joelâs voice came from the other end.
âItâs me.â
Tanyaâs demeanor turned cold. âIs something wrong Mr. Smith?â
Joel was silent for a while before finally saying, âMy daughter wants to learn to dance. I wonder if it would be convenient if Miss Turner-â
âNo, it isnât.â
Tanya hung up without hesitation.
Next to her, Pete was speechless.
Knock, knock.
The sound of someone knocking on the door came suddenly.
Nora, who was sleeping on the couch, was awakened by the noise. She rubbed her eyes and stood up. When she opened the door, Mrs. Landis immediately grabbed her hand and said, âMadam is in a bad mood today, Miss Smith. She seemed to get along with you when she was chatting earlier. Can you spend some time with her and talk?â.
Nora, â?â
She was about to answer when Mrs. Landis let out a sigh. She said, âThe lady had an argument with her son. She is having a very hard time. She is evidently afraid that the Young Lordâs son will suffer if she remarries, but she hasnât been able to say anything to him, which makes him misunderstand her all the time. After the two of them quarreled again today, the lady has been doing nothing in the greenhouse for a whole day, refuses to eat or drink. what should I do?â
Nora, ââ¦â
Without further ado, Mrs. Landis dragged her away and took her next door. Sure enough, she saw Iris sitting dazed in the greenhouse.
Since Iâm here, Iâll have a little talk with her, Nora thought.
But what should I talk about?
What a headacheâ¦
She entered the greenhouse. She was about to speak when Iris saw her. A smile immediately bloomed on her sorrowful countenance. âYouâre here Miss Smith. I have no idea why either, but I feel so happy and find you so nice as soon as I see you. Maybe itâs because you are beautiful.â
Nora, ââ¦â
Iris continued. âWeâve already met for the third time, so that makes us friends, right? But I donât even know your name, can you tell me what your name is?â
