At the police station.

“Send someone to guard the hospital. If you find the runaway, arrest her immediately.”

“Yes, sir.”

“The airport and high-speed train stations are under martial law. Send someone to guard the entrance and exit, send her photo to the system.”

“Yes, sir.”

Even though he was being held hostage by Justin, Morris continued to unhurriedly issue orders. Justin didn’t stop him either until he heard this sentence.

“Have my people search for her all over New York. If she resists…”

Morris paused. “Shoot!”

The word ‘shoot’ made Justin’s pupils shrink. He exerted some force with the pistol in his hand and pressed it against Morris’ temple. “Captain Ford, aren’t you going a little overboard?”

Morris looked down. “Mr. Hunt, do you really know her?”

Morris continued, “We learned that she only returned to the country two months ago. They have two children together, but do you really know who she is?”

Justin narrowed his eyes.

He really didn’t know.

He only knew that she was Anti, the Big Sister of the Quinn School of Martial Arts….

There seemed to be other mysterious identities, but he didn’t know them.

Morris said slowly, “I think you’ve looked into her past too, haven’t you? His records were blank during those five years overseas, do you know what he did during that time?”.

Justin held his gun and pulled up a chair to sit across from Morris. He leaned forward slightly, his tall frame still very oppressive. “Captain Ford, I don’t know, but that doesn’t stop me from trusting her.”

Morris frowned. “Mr. Hunt, you have always been a law-abiding citizen. You are not on the same path as she is.”

Justin lowered his gaze. “Even if we’re not on the same path now, we’ll get there in the end. Life has infinite possibilities, doesn’t it, Captain Ford?”

Seeing that he didn’t flinch, Morris didn’t get angry. Instead, he said, “You’ll never know the magnitude of the case you’re involved in. Mr. Hunt, you’d better pray that she really did go to the hospital. If not, you’ve made an unforgivable mistake this time.”

Justin lowered his gaze and did not speak.

Morris looked at the person next to him. “It’s been half an hour. Ask at the hospital, has Miss Nora arrived?”

“Yes, Captain Ford!”

Morris’ subordinate stepped to the side and made the call. “Has the suspect gone to the hospital?”

The hospital had already established a line of defense. As soon as Nora appeared, she would be taken into custody immediately.

The person guarding the hospital replied, “Report, at the moment no suspicious person has come in!”.

The person had turned on the loudspeaker when he made the call, so everyone heard him.

Morris looked at Justin. “Mr. Hunt, did you hear that?”.

Justin smiled. “If your people could find her that easily, it wouldn’t be Nora Smith.”

How could the Big Sister of the Quinn School of Martial Arts be easily caught?

Unexpectedly, the officer on the other end of the line suddenly said, “Mr. Joel, please cooperate with our investigation!”

Then, Joel’s calm voice said, “I will cooperate fully.”

“Okay. May I ask if Miss Nora is in the hospital?”

Joel was puzzled. “She’s not at the police station? Her Captain Ford won’t allow bail.”

The police officer said, “Mr. Joel, we have already received word that she has escaped from the police station. His whereabouts are now unknown. Once you appear at the hospital, please contact us immediately!”

Joel immediately said in a deep but firm voice, “I will definitely cooperate with the investigation.”

“Agreed.”

The team leader left and said into his phone, “We have confirmed that the suspect has not arrived at the hospital.”

Morris stared at Justin. “Mr. Hunt, you still don’t believe me, why don’t you take your weapon back?”

Justin lowered his eyes and looked at the time. “Captain Ford, this place is an hour from the hospital. It’s only been half an hour, what’s the rush, why don’t we have a good talk, what was Yvette’s case back then, and what kind of case was my fiancée involved in?”

Morris was speechless.

The feeling of being held back by Justin and not being able to do anything was really infuriating!

At the hospital.

When the team leader finished talking to Joel, he had a group of people patrol the surrounding area to look for Nora.

After rounding a corner, Joel looked at the storage room behind.

It was the janitor’s workroom. Normally, the broom and other things were stored here.

He looked around and confirmed that no one was there before opening the door.

Nora was inside, leaning against the wall.

She had just sneaked into the hospital and was secretly avoiding the police when she saw Joel.

When their eyes met, Joel frowned. He was about to ask something when the team leader approached.

Nora ducked into the workroom.

At first she had thought that, because of Joel’s personality, he might be able to help the police arrest her. She hadn’t expected him to help her.

From the looks of it, other than Yvonne, the rest of the Smiths didn’t seem to be so bad.

Nora nodded to Joel in thanks and was about to leave.

However, Joel grabbed her arm. “What are you doing here, are you looking for me to help you organize an escape route?”.

Nora: “…”

Joel looked at the operating room and said slowly, “Old Maddy can’t take any more. His crime this time is likely to be confirmed. Although Uncle Ian doesn’t like the Smiths breaking the law, I don’t think he wants to see you go to jail like this either. Therefore, I’m going to help if I can.”

“…” Nora’s lips twitched. “I’m not leaving.”

Joel was puzzled. “So your running away was…”

Nora glanced at the operating room. “I’m here to treat Old Maddy!”

Joel immediately frowned. “Nonsense! I’ve already gotten someone to send a message to Justin. I’ve told him the current situation. Only Anti can cure Old Maddy. Why are you here?”

Nora sensed something. “Have you gotten someone to send a message to look for Anti?”

“Yes. The Hunts have interacted with Anti, so only Mr. Hunt knows who Anti is.” Joel frowned sharply.

Nora curved her lips. “Who did you ask to send the message?”
