The moment the lights went out in the operating room, everyone outside stood up.

They all looked at the door.

It wasn’t because they had a deep relationship with Old Maddy. It was because Old Maddy’s life and death determined whether Nora was guilty or not.

Yvonne clenched her fists and prayed in her heart.

If he died, everything would be all right! If he died, nothing could be found out about him?

As she prayed, Joel held his chin up.
