When everyone stopped blocking her, Nora entered the ICU room.
As soon as she entered, she felt a group of people guarding the place.
It seemed that whether the people outside had any objections or not, from the moment Joel had called her to the hospital, the operation was set in stone.
He had probably sent Quentin in some time ago and had arranged it all in secret.
Even without the DNA report, Joel could solve the problem with violence if Yvonne objected.
This older brother seemed soft, but his methods were powerful.
She didnât have time to think about this anymore. She had already reached the bed and the first thing she did was to assess Ianâs expression.
He was thinner than the last time they had seen each other. His cheekbones bulged, and he lay there as thin as a sheet of paper.
Nora looked away and picked up his medical records and the CT scan she had taken.
Indeed, every organ in his body was failing. Most seriously, she had a tumor in her brain that had to be removed immediately. It was a similar situation to that of Mrs. Hunt.
However, Mrs. Hunt was in her eighties, so her body was naturally deteriorating.
Ian was only in his fifties. It was not right for his body to be so worn out.
While he was thinking, Lily had already changed her clothes and went inside. The medical team that belonged to Anti had completely taken over Ianâs treatment team.
Joel had no objection to it.

Outside.
The doctor attending Ian watched as Lily pushed Ian into the operating room. He walked back and forth angrily and stomping his feet. He said to Ian, âMr. Joel, Mr. Smithâs body is really not suitable for surgery! Itâs going to kill him.â
Joel did not speak and just stared at the operating room.
The attending physician said, âNo matter how good Anti is, the most important thing now is to let the Elder Lord recover first. All physical indicators have to be met before he can be taken to surgery!â
Joel lowered his eyes and only said after a moment, âI believe her.â
This girl could always create miracles.
When the attending physician learned that Joel had made a decision and would not change it again, he could only pace anxiously as he looked around the operating room.
In the hallway, Great Uncle and Yvonne were sitting on the bench.
Great Uncle was holding his cane and arching his neck to look like he was waiting for the âgood newsâ of her death.
The others were also attentive to this operation.
Quentin had walked behind Joel at some point. He was holding his chin and was deep in thought, looking very worried.
When Joel saw this, he comforted him for once. âDonât worry. With Antiâs medical skills, if she canât save Uncle Ian, then no one in this world can.â
Quentin: â?â
He slowly raised his head and looked at Joel. âIâm not worried about Uncle Ian! Nora can definitely treat him, right? Since sheâs the best in medicine, why should I be worried?â
Joel: â?â
He hesitated. âSo youâreâ¦â
Quentin sighed heavily. âBig Sister hasnât been to the arena for two days now. I wonder what happened. Geez.â
The day before yesterday, because of going to save Nora, she didnât go to the martial arts arena. In the end, she found out that Big Sister hadnât gone either.
But last night, after seeing Nora come home, she went. But in the end, Big Sister still didnât come!
Where had she gone, what was she busy with?
Joel: ââ¦â
He touched his forehead and asked, âCanât she concentrate on the hospital first?â.
Quentin: ââ¦Is Big Sister in the hospital?â
ââ¦â
This kid didnât know how serious Uncle Ianâs illness was. Forget it, he didnât mean anything else. Instead of making him worry with him, it was better to worry about that Big Sister.

âItâs done.â
With Noraâs words, the operation in the operating room came to an end.
She looked at Ianâs vitals and pulled out the silver needles to stop the bleeding. When she finished, she said, âLily.â
Lily stepped forward and wiped the sweat from her forehead.
Then, she checked Ianâs entire body and said, âThe operation was very successful.â
Nora let out a sigh of relief. She nodded her head and walked out.
The door to the operating room opened. People waiting anxiously outside immediately rushed over.
âHowâs Dad?â
Yvonne was the first to ask this question. âWas the operation successful, will Dad wake up?â
Nora raised her eyebrows and looked at her. âOf course. The operation was very successful.â
The words âvery successfulâ made Yvonneâs face pale.
She took a step back in shock and looked at Nora in disbelief.
Nora looked directly at Joel. âHeâll wake up in a day. I think there are some things to fix after that.â
Her last sentence was directed at Yvonne.
Yvonneâs feet were shaking as she looked around the operating room. âI want to see daddy!â
âYes, letâs go see Mr. Smith!â
The others agreed.
Nora stopped them. âThe patient just had surgery. Itâs easy for him to get infected if so many people come in to see him. Letâs wait until the patientâs condition improves before we talk.â
Everyone nodded.
Joel then said, âAll right, Uncle Ian is no longer in danger. You can go now.â
After that, he looked at Yvonne and scoffed, âBesides, when Uncle Ian wakes up, Iâll tell him everything that has happened during this period.â
Yvonne shivered again.
She bit her lip, but there was nothing she could do in the face of such a domineering Joel. In the end, she could only leave with the group of people.
Seeing that the group of people had left, Quentin appeared again and stood next to Nora. He nonchalantly took the DNA report from Joelâs hand.
Quentin looked at Nora curiously and asked, âWhere did you get this report from? Itâs so real! But youâre so smart. Youâve really thought about this method.â
Nora: â?â
Quentin opened the DNA report and looked at the seal of the testing organization. âThis seal really looks like it. No wonder they didnât notice it. did Justin help you? Help me figure out who they used for this. Iâll see if I can get it out of the Huntsâ¦â
Joel: ââ¦â
If he revealed it so openly, would Nora still tell him?!
Thatâs right. Both he and Quentin thought Noraâs report was false. It was a reasonable plan for dealing with Uncle Ian.
However, he didnât expect to hear the girlâs clear voice saying, âThis report is real.â
Quentin and Joel were stunned.
They both looked at her simultaneously. âWhat did you say?â
