Hillary stood up abruptly and looked at them in disbelief.

What had they said just now?

Karl and Jill were sitting in the gallery.

A somewhat incredulous Jill stood up abruptly when the plot twist occurred. She unconsciously glanced at Karl.

Karl, who also seemed stunned by the plot twist, looked at Jill with a puzzled expression.

Justin didn’t say anything else. Instead, he looked at the witness stand.

From the looks of it, neither Karl nor Mr. Jones intended to help any further. In that case, Jill and Hillary could be no more trouble.
