Nora said to Melissa, âWeâll go to that daycare, Aunt Melissa. Iâll take Cherry there and give it a try.â
Then, she got up, walked out the door and took the call.
An aged, stern voice came from the other end of the call. âWhere are you?â
It was his traditional medicine teacher, Silvester Zabe.
At the thought of how serious and stern he was, Nora unconsciously straightened her back and replied, âIâm in New York, sir. Whatâs wrong?â
Silvester slowly replied, âOh. The Smiths are looking for you; they want you to treat someoneâs illness.â
The Smiths? Ian Smith?
Just as Nora was about to say she would go, Silvester said, âYou donât have to go. Heâs not sick; he just doesnât want to live anymore.â
ââ¦â
âHis internal organs are failing. Currently, they are using the Rest Pill to keep him alive. Even if you go, can you make him regain the will to live?â
Nora had no words for that. She calculated that Ian would probably wish he died even more if he saw her.
She sighed mentally. Then she asked carefully, âOkay. Can I visit you tomorrow, sir?â
Silvester was already over 90 this year, but the old man nonetheless spoke clearly. He replied, âNo, thatâs all right. Iâm old now; thereâs nothing to see here. For you to pass on my knowledge of traditional medicine would be the best way to repay my kindness.â
However, the old manâs indifference brought tears to Noraâs eyes.
Without him, she probably would have died several times by now.
She looked down and said, âIn that case, let me know if you ever want to see me.â
âYouâre not a child anymore, why are you still so clingy? Stop it!â After saying that, Silvester said, âIâm hanging up.â
Beep⦠beep⦠beep⦠beepâ¦
Nora looked at her cell phone and let out a soft sigh. The old manâs character was as strange as ever.
The night passed quietly.
When Cherry woke up the next morning, Nora was still asleep.
She tiptoed across the carpet, closing the door only when she entered the study.
Then, she picked up her cell phone and sent Chester a text message, âChesty, are you ready?â
Chester instantly replied, âIâve already registered a live streaming account for you, so you can now officially start streaming live!â.
âOkie-Dokie!â
Cherry climbed into the chair and planted herself in the large swivel chair. She pushed her foot against the table and swiveled the chair in a straight line. Then, she turned on Noraâs computer.
Chester laughed and sent a message, âToday is your first live broadcast, Cherry. Weâre going to do something a little special today so you can attract more fans!â
Cherryâs big dark eyes lit up and she replied, âOkay! What do we do?â
Chester, who was in his room at the Hunts, replied, âLetâs compete on the live broadcast!â
Cherry enthusiastically replied, âNo problem! Iâll beat you for sure.â
âHeh, heh.â Chester smugly replied, âA contest on a live broadcast doesnât depend on the game but on fan donations! I have 10 million fans, so Iâll beat you for sure!â.
Chester had suffered the scorn of his little niece in the game for more than half a year.
Now, he was going to stand up and regain his dignity as her uncle.
And he would make his little niece see how crazy his fans are.
Cherry wrote, âIâll definitely be better at this than you!â.
Chester smiled and started a new live stream. âHi everyone! Iâm Chesty. Today Iâm going to introduce you to a new friend â sheâs the leader of my team! Yes, sheâs none other than the girl with the little girl voice who loves to play as the heroine with the huge cannon. Everyone, please show her lots of support.â

On the Smiths.
Ian had woken up in the morning.
The servant quickly told him that Joel had watched him all night the day before.
Joel, who was red-eyed, grabbed his hand and said, âUncle Ian, the Smiths still need you. I still canât run the family by myself. You canât just drop all this and leave.â
Joel was lying.
He was even more outstanding than he was himself back then, and yet he was putting on an act like that.
Ian smiled weakly. âIâm fine.â
A hint of sadness appeared in Joelâs eyes. He picked up the cell phone and handed it to Ian in an attempt to pique his interest. He said, âI remember you used to like games, Uncle Ian. This game is very popular now, how about trying it?â.
The reason he had played games in the past was that she was still with him back then.
Actually, Ian wasnât very interested in games. He said dispassionately, ââ¦I donât know how to play it.â
âThatâs okay.â Joel opened a live streaming app and said, âItâs pretty interesting to watch others play too! You can even learn how to play just by watching.â
He opened a random live stream and placed the cell phone in a corner on the side within Ianâs line of sight.
Ian didnât dare refuse his nephewâs kindness, so he just watched casually.
Already a soft, tender voice could be heard coming from the live feed.
âChesty, why are my points so low?â
Chester replied, âThatâs because points are calculated using the total amount of donations you receive from fans through the virtual gifts they send you! You still donât have many fans. Hehe, come on everyone! I always get smashed by sweetcherry in the game, so Iâm going to give her a taste of what it feels like to get smashed this time!â
âSweetcherry?â
Ian was taken aback for a moment.
He remembered that Yvetteâs alias in the game had been âlollipopâ back then. When he teased her for using such a sweet sounding name, she had replied, âWhatâs wrong with it? If I have a daughter in the future, Iâll play with her and give her the alias âsweetcherryâ, AND Iâll make you die of diabetes from so much sugar!â
âsweetcherryââ¦
Ian stretched out his pale, weak arm, grabbed the cell phone. Immediately, a confrontation screen came into his view. sweetcherry only had a few hundred points while his opponent Chesty had a few thousand points.
Suddenly he became a little interested.
When Chester raised his head, he suddenly discovered that Cherryâs total number of points had surpassed his own. He immediately exclaimed, âWhat the fuck, what happened?â
Cherry exclaimed excitedly, âSomeone just gave me a big donation! I canât even keep track anymore.â
Chester did a head count and discovered that the person had given him a one-time donation of $80,000.
Shocked, he urged, âQuick, say hello to your sponsor! Thanks for the tip, sponsor dad.â
Cherry, however, was very concerned. She said, âBut I already have a daddy!â.
She cocked her head, bit her finger and thought for a while. Then her eyes suddenly lit up and she exclaimed, âI know, Iâll have Mom call him Dad! So, that means heâs Grandpa! Thanks for the support, Grandpa.â
As he spoke, another notification saying he had received a donation of $80,000 scrolled across the screen.
Instantly, it dealt a severe blow to Chesterâs stitches.
âShit!â he was now angry. âDonât be so arrogant! I have sponsors too!â
He immediately posted a link to the live stream on his Facebook page and wrote: âHey everyone, those of you with money, please show some support! Those of you who donât have any, go away.â
Most of Chesterâs friends were wealthy people, and they used to give tips worth a few thousand dollars for fun.
After making the post, his rating actually started to go up.
At the time, Justin was sitting in his office in the Hunt Corporation office tower.
Next to him, Pete was studying.
He opened his Facebook page and immediately saw Chesterâs post.
Bored, he opened the link.
Immediately he heard a tender voice coming from the live stream, âSponsor Grandpa, to thank you for giving me so much advice, Iâll tell you some trivia.â
