Charles was a little taken aback by Noraâs words.
Over the years, he had always thought it was because Yvette was no match for the mysterious organization, which had conspired against her. But it turned out that he was wrong.
Her actions were within Miss Yvetteâs plans.
He lowered his head and smiled bitterly. After a moment, he said, âShe left a medicine.â
Nora looked at him suddenly. âWhere is it?â
Charles shook his head. âThe truth is, I donât know. She had left you a clue. She once said it would be up to you to find her.â
Before she died, Yvette had arranged everything for the three of them.
When the four of them parted, Old Maddy was worried about Noraâs safety and had asked, âIs she really sure about Nora? Besides, the V16 clues are only for Nora, will she be in danger?â.
Yvette had said at the time, âIf she finds it in the future, it would mean that she has the intelligence and power to resist the mysterious organization. If she doesnât find it⦠then, as long as the V16 doesnât appear, nothing will happen to her. The mysterious organization will protect her.â
Hintâ¦
Her mother had indeed left a clue.
Nora suddenly stood up. At this point, there was no need for Charles to lie to her. He was definitely telling the truth.
However, other than a voicemail, the only thing her mother had left was that company.
The company⦠When he was in California, he had suspected that the Greyâs wanted his company, so he had already turned the company upside down. There was nothing there!
It looked like he had missed something.
At this point, Charles was useless to her. Nora turned and walked out.
She had barely taken two steps when Charles suddenly shouted, âMiss Noraâ¦â
Nora stopped in her tracks and turned around.
Charlesâ old face was full of wariness and frustration. It looked as if his heart had turned to ashes. He hesitated and said, âIâm sorryâ¦Miss Yvette probably wonât forgive me.â
Looking at this person and thinking about her miserable life, Nora suddenly said, âShe will.â
Charles was perplexed.
Nora said calmly, âShe never blamed you.â
Charles had betrayed Yvette and had spent his whole life with guilt. When he learned this, he felt as if the huge rock that had been pressing on his heart for so many years had fallen. He let out a sigh of relief.
Nora didnât look at him again and left the room.
Lily followed beside her and asked in confusion, âChief, why did he say his mother would forgive him? For someone like him who betrayed his teacher, if it were me, I would never forgive him!â.
Hearing this, Nora sighed and looked at her, âBecause even his betrayal was within my motherâs expectations.â
After saying this, Nora walked away.
Lily stood at the hospital. When she came to see Quentin today, she wasnât planning to leave with Nora. When she heard Noraâs words, she suddenly felt a shiver run down her spine.
The clue was with her, which was also the reason why the mysterious organization did not attack her directly.
As for staying low profile, her motherâs warning was probably so that she would conserve her strength.
By now, Nora had already deduced all of her motherâs plans. At the same time that she was excited, she was also anxious.
With her mother being so smart, she would probably find it even more difficult to solve this problem.
Back at the Smiths, she put on her headphones and listened to the recording her mother had left for her. It was the only thing his mother had left.
After listening to it a few times, she had those words memorized.
Nora sighed quietly.
It seemed she had to go to California and talk to the head of Idealian Pharmaceuticals. Since her mother had trusted him then, he must have some important information.
As he thought about this, he listened intently to the recording in his earpiece and suddenly picked up some information.
At the same time, his phone rang.
