Trending?
What was trending?
Iris unconsciously picked up her phone. She immediately saw that Sweetcherry was trending on social media because she had insulted her grandmother on her live stream.
To be honest, it wasnât really trending that high in the rankings.
She barely made it into the top fifty in the rankings and had just made the list. Mrs. Landis had only heard about it because her attention was on Cherry.
Iris hurried to open the linked article in the publication, where she saw a video clip of the live broadcast. In the clip, Cherry had kicked her grandmother out of her room and called her a bitch.
Iris stared at the video in shock.
Although she knew it was wrong for Cherry to insult people, for some inexplicable reason, it felt great.
As she looked at Mrs. Landisâ phone, Lauren was still talking to her on the phone. âIris, Cherry is really adorable, are you sure you donât want to come over and hang out with her? She really likes her new grandma. When she used to call me grandma, I felt really sad for youâ¦â
As she listened to the woman, the corners of Irisâ lips suddenly curved into a smile. She activated the speaker mode on her phone and brought the other phone with the video clip close to the microphone on hers. The sound of a girl scolding someone in anger rang out immediately, âGo away, youâ¦youâ¦bitch!â.
Laurenâs voice stopped abruptly.
She was terribly stunned. First she looked at her phone in confusion, then looked at the villa to the side in surprise.
If she wasnât already sure Cherry hadnât left the house, she would have thought she was with Iris!
But if she wasnât, then why was her voice coming from Irisâs call?
As she was still in a daze, Iris laughed lightly and said, âBy the way, I forgot to tell you that Cherry loves games and also likes to do live broadcasts. Everything that happened between the two of you in the room has been captured on her live stream. So, how the hell are you so sure my granddaughter likes you, whore?â
Lauren: â!â
She gnashed her teeth in fury.
When Cherry had insulted her, she had only cursed and rant inwardly, then felt the girl was terribly rude. However, she hadnât bothered to get angry at a girl.
When she left the room, she couldnât help but still feel irritated, so she had called Iris to provoke her.
But who knew that everything that had happened a moment ago had been captured on the live feed?
This was no different than her personally putting her face in front of Iris and letting her slap her!
This was just so⦠upsetting!
Lauren immediately took a deep breath. She countered and replied, âStill, Iâm finally living with the Hunts, while youâve been kicked out!â
Iris scoffed. âThe Hunts? Iâve stopped caring about them so many years ago. I donât even love Herman anymore, so why would I still love the Hunts? Things arenât like they used to be. Back then, Herman was the one in charge of the family, but the person in charge now is Justin! If you want to stay there, go ahead. However, Justin has always been moody since he was a kid, so youâll have to cut him some slack. Gosh, itâs just not as comfortable as at my house, where I can grow my flowers, sunbathe, and do whatever I wantâ¦. Tsk, Mrs. Landis, donât forget to disinfect our house later, in case the bitch who came today had soiled it.â
Iris had originally planned to talk to Nora about the girl insulting people, but in that instant, she herself had unconsciously let herself be carried away by Cherry.
Iris, who had always followed the rules and kept herself clean all her life, suddenly understood at that moment how good it felt to call someone a slut.
Well, itâs not like Cherry insulted people that often either, so sheâd let the matter pass in peace.
With that in mind, Iris spoke into her phone again. âIs there anything else, Mistress Whore?â
ââ¦Iris Evans! You think youâre better than me just because of this? So what if the Hunts are your sonâs? Youâre on bad terms with him anyway! Iâll prove to you that Iâm so much better than you now! Youâ¦â
âOh, so thereâs nothing else, is there? If so, then Iâm hanging up. No one likes to listen to dogs barking.â
Iris cut Lauren off and then hung up in a good mood.
This just felt too good!
Mrs. Landis looked at her mistress and shook her head. The lady was simply so childish, crying one moment and laughing the nextâ¦.
No, wait, she didnât come to talk about that. She said anxiously, âMaâam, donât just smile. Cherry keeps getting attacked on the Internet, arenât you going to do anything about it?â
âWhat am I supposed to do about it?â Iris glared at Mrs. Landis. The look in the womanâs eyes, still charming despite her age, only made her seem bewitching and seductive The colors of the nearly fifty-year-old womanâs eyes were still well defined, and her gaze was also clean and clear. The heavens had truly endowed her with good looks.
After Iris coquettishly reprimanded her, she got up at once. âIf anything happens to Cherry, Justin wonât stand idly by. By the way, Mrs. Landis, is there still mushroom risotto left? Iâm hungry.â
After saying that, Iris started down the stairs.
Mrs. Landis: ââ¦â
Mrs. Landis still wanted to talk. She picked up her phone to show him. She said, âMr. Hunt probably hasnât noticed yet, has he? Look, the post is going up in the rankings againâ¦. Huh? Why has the post disappeared?â.
Mrs. Landis stood still, stunned.
Iris, who was ahead, greeted her, âYou happened to see the stand in time, and fortunately you also showed it to me in time. If you had been a step late, I wouldnât have been able to see it â donât I know how efficient Justin is?â
Mrs. Landis silently gave him a thumbs-up in her heart.
As expected, no one knew a son better than his mother!

At the Huntsâ house.
Lauren stomped her foot in annoyance after Iris hung up on her.
âIris and Cherry sure are some tough bones!â
At the sound of her angry voice, Herman lowered his eyes. âI told you not to provoke them, yet you insisted on doing it. See, they got the better of you, didnât they?â
Lauren took a deep breath. âI did it all for your sake, and for our familyâ¦â
As she said this, her eyes widened. Then, she walked over to Herman and grabbed his arm. âSpeaking of which, why canât Iris go back to Hunt Manor? Back then, when your family chose her and Justin over you and forced you to leave, the Hunts must not have been powerful enough to ban her from Hunt Manor, right?â
Herman glared at her. Lauren continued to wave her arm. âCome on, tell me whyâ¦â
