That day, on the outskirts of New York, an amorous and suggestive atmosphere filled Noraâs entire villa.
A full and satisfied Mr. Hunt held Nora in his arms, his fingers stroking her back again and again. On his countenance was a look of contentment that had never existed before.
His dark eyes were so deep and bottomless that no one dared to look into them. When one looked into them, it was as if one were gazing into the deep, boundless starry sky. The man asked hoarsely, âNora, are you sleepy?â Nora was a little tired, though for the first time, surprisingly, she wasnât very sleepy. She pushed Justin away and got up. The comforter slid down her white skin.
She was very white, which made the numerous marks and love bites on her body look a little alarming, as if she had been abused. At the sight of her, Justinâs gaze deepened again.
However, Nora quickly pulled on her clothes. She pulled her hair back and said, âIâm not sleepy. Letâs go back.â
Justin sighed quietly and leaned against the headboard of the bed. At that instant, he really felt like having a cigarette after making love, but, as a doctor, Nora would undoubtedly hate the smell of cigarette smoke, so he stifled the urge and said, âI donât feel like leaving.â
Nora ignored him and continued to put on her clothes. When she was dressed, she started to leave. âThen Iâll go first. You can go home later.â
Justin: ââ¦â
Why did it seem like the two of them were having some sort of affair? To the point where they had to go home at different times to avoid suspicion?
The corners of his lips tightened as he pushed the comforter aside and stood up as well.
Nora had already dressed neatly and quickly as she walked toward the exit. Her legs were still a little squishy.
As she thought about the position they had just taken, she took a deep silent breath. From the looks of it, he should get more exercise in the future and stop slacking off. He hadnât expected it to be so strenuous.
On the other hand, true to what Quinn had said, it was evident that Justin had been training very diligently every day. Therefore, his fitness was obviously better than hers.
That guy had also exhausted much of his stamina just now, and yet he seemed perfectly fine and even in a good mood.
Thinking about this, Nora pursed her lips.
Were they really going to waste so much energy on an unnecessary competition between them and end up exhausting each other?
She sighed quietly and quickened her pace, afraid that staying there would cause her to cut her sleep time by half an hour to exercise.
Justin changed into his pajamas. He intended to chat with Nora for a while, but instead he heard the sound of the door closing. Then the car started up outside. As he approached the balcony, he saw that Nora had already slipped away in the car.
Justin: ââ¦.â
He sighed quietly again.
Just then, his phone rang: it was Lawrence.
âBoss, everything has been arranged. I need you to put on a show and follow the performance now.â
The situation with Hunt Corporation stock was at a critical juncture, and Herman was running very actively in the company at the moment. It probably wouldnât be very appropriate for Justin to be too calm at this time.
Lawrence said, âIâve bought you a plane ticket for a flight tonight, would you like to go overseas on vacation for the time being?â
Justin: â?â
He raised his eyebrows, knowing what Lawrence meant.
Justin was one of the people on the cusp of the country. Now that he had run into a problem, he would no doubt have to seek the help of some of his foreign business associates. Lawrence would ask him to pretend to go overseas for help so that he could fool Herman and some of the Hunt people.
That way they would avoid some people, who knew him too well and feared his powerful reputation, getting too scared and going out to make trouble when they saw his overly calm reaction. If that happened, how was he going to catch them all in one fell swoop?
Butâ¦
Justin coughed, âOkay, have Sean impersonate me and leave the country.â
Lawrence was taken aback. âWill that really work?â
Justin nodded. âYes, weâll do that.â
By the time he said that, he was already downstairs. He went to the kitchen and looked around, found that the villa was obviously cleaned frequently.
However, there was nothing to eat in the fridge.
So he said, âBuy some food and send it here.â
He then gave Lawrence the address.
Lawrence asked, â⦠Mr. Hunt, are you hiding a mistress?â
Hiding a mistress?
Justin, who found his words interesting, smiled and laughed. âDo as I tell you and send her off, what are you asking such silly questions for?â.
âAll right.â
Half an hour later, Lawrence entered the villa with a bag of food in his hand. Then he took a look around the area. Before leaving, he went so far as to ask, âDoes Miss Smith know sheâs staying here?â
Justin shooed him out the door.

After Nora returned to the Hunts, she played with the three children for a while.
Soon it got dark outside and it was time for dinner. However, Justin didnât come back.
Nora picked up her phone to text him and ask about him. But in the end, before she could send the message, Brenda entered the house.
As soon as she walked in, she asked solemnly, âNora, tell me the truth, does Justin need money?â
Nora raised her eyebrows. âWhatâs wrong?â
As she spoke, she typed a few words into the phone and texted, âArenât you coming back for dinner?â
Brenda looked left and right before finally leaning toward her. âNora, I just got word that Justin has gone overseas to raise money. He plans to buy 5% of the companyâs stock at a high price! But he doesnât really have any money left. Once the news spreads, Iâm sure people will panic!â
Nora: â?â
Justin needed money?
Then why didnât he say so? Even though he was very poor and only had $75 million, at least the Smiths could provide billions of dollars at any time without a problemâ¦.
As she was thinking about it, Cherry asked, âDoes Dad need money?â
Brenda looked at her and sighed. âThat seems to be it.â
Cherry said, âThen why donât I ask my Great Aunt for some money for Dad, my Great Aunt can lend a few hundred.â
Brenda rested her chin on her hands. âWhatâs a few hundred good for?â
âAunt Brenda, do you know what I mean by a âfew hundredâ?â
âA few hundred thousand dollars? But a few hundred thousand dollars wonât be enough either. Iâve already got a few hundred thousand dollars here. Iâve been gambling too much all these years, and besides, I like to buy a lotâ¦.. A while back, I bought about a hundred handbags during the Black Friday salesâ¦. I still have time to return them. Nora, why donât you lend me some money? Then I can pay off the balance and return them to save the money for Justin.â
As Brenda babbled, Cherry sighed quietly and said, âMy Great Auntâs money is in the hundreds of millions of dollars.â
Brenda: ââ¦â
Stunned, she stared at Cherry for a while. Then, she sighed. âCherry, you mustnât brag like that. What company has hundreds of millions of working capital?â
After speaking, she looked at Nora again. âNora, I just called Justin, but heâs already turned his phone off. Heâs on the plane right now, so we wonât be able to reach him.â
As she spoke, Noraâs phone vibrated and she got Justinâs text message, âI wonât be able to get back in the next few days. I have to be on a plane to another country right now.â
Nora: ââ¦â
She blinked and looked at Brenda again. âDid you say Justin is on a plane?â.
