Ghost was sitting on the table as I watched the doctor leave. He hasn't said anything since we left the enemy grounds. Was he ashamed? Embarrassed? Feeling guilty? It was hard to tell. Soap went ahead to report to Price together with Garrick, once we were assured that Ghost is going to be fine they didn't spare any comments on how he will be getting an earful on this.

Their little jokes didn't seem to help my mood, but their relaxed and care free acting?? did brighten the atmosphere. No organs have been hit although it was really close, the doctor approved of my quick action, saying that getting the bullet out was the most crucial in that case. He wouldn't have made it half way to base before bleeding out.

I turned to Simon, he was holding the mask leaving the balaclava on, lower part of his torso now wrapped in a bandage. Only when he was done being treated by a proper medic did I feel the guilt and nervousness wash away.

"How are you feeling?"

"Like shit. But I have been through worse."

I am sure he did. I saw the scars adorning his body, some fresh, some of them not fully healing even after the years that passed by. I took a deep breath as I relaxed a bit.

"It's just one bullet, none of the vital points were touched. You don't need to worry."

"This one bullet could have killed you if I wasn't there. What were you two so absorbed in that you couldn't pay attention to your surroundings? What was so much more important in that moment other than your safety?!"

The feelings finally turned into words, he didn't look fazed by me raising my voice and it stung a little. He kept quiet his eyes following the movement of my hands.

"Do you really have no excuse whatsoever?!"

That's when he looked away, thinking deeply about his next words. He better chose them wisely.

"So?"

"You."

I stopped and looked him in the eyes.

"What?"

"You. We were talking about you. You're the only thing that occupies my mind. There. Happy?"

He was serious. He got up from the bed walking towards me, I backed up into the desk. The skull discarded on the bed, Simon was more focused on trapping me beneath him.

"Ghost."

"Y/n."

His hand reached to my face, softly grabbing my chin, making my skin feel like it was melting under his touch. Even the gloves couldn't hold of the warmth his palms were emitting, for a short moment I hoped he would throw them off so I could feel his skin against my body once more.

In the next one however I was reminded about the anger still filling my heart, the flame was much smaller then a month ago, when I first found out about what happened. Since that time I had learned that the more I see Ghost, the less I am able to hold on to it. And today after his and Soaps stunt I wasn't sure if I could keep the fire burning.

"It's you who told me to do so before, so listen to me as I plead."

His hands grabbed mine as he slid to the floor, getting on his knees. This was so unlike him. This wasn't Ghost. This was whatever has been left from Simon.

"I beg you. Y/n."

I could see his pained expression even with the balaclava on. His eyes gave away everything that he was currently holding deep in his heart.

"I know I was the one who pushed you away but I promise I will be good. I won't ever hurt you again."

I didn't know what has gotten into him, was this due to shock? Was he just saying nonsens because of blood loss? I'm unsure if I have the strength to push him away.

"Y/n I was wrong. I don't want to lose you and I know you love him but... You love me too, right?"

Like a fucking puppy. He was asking  for an ounce of my attention, kneeling at my feet. I felt my heart breaking as I knew I brought him to this state, this was my fault. Even if I was mad at him I should have made myself clear.

But.

There was a part of me that loved this. Every second of this sparked something in my core making me feel more then just the usual anger. I had to diffuse the situation quickly.

"Ghost, you should get up you are hurt-"

"No. Fuck that. You told me to beg, remember? I will beg. I will plead until you admit it."

His hands tugged on mine, slightly bending me forward so I would look at him.

"I don't care if you love him, I don't care if you want to have him on the side. I would do anything so please, don't abandon me."

I was flabbergasted, what was I supposed to say? More over what was I supposed to do? Push him away? That's what my mind told me to do. I was already in love with König so why was my heart longing for Ghost?

"Ghost, what are you talking about? Are you hearing yourself? Because you aren't acting like you."

How his hands touched my skin as if he was holding pure gold, one that could crack if only he breathed on it too harshly. The floor cracked under someones weight.

"You said you wanted me to be nicer. Has he ever gotten on his knees for you? I will anytime you ask, I will be the best partner you have ever had. I will act like a devoted follower of yours if that's what you want. Fuck it I won't even care if I am not your favourite. Just, please you can't let it end this way..."

I turned my head to look at where the new noise had came from, my eyes still lingering at the figure at my feet. When I finally looked away I had fear wash over me, soon it was almost replaced with guilt and shame.

König was standing in the door way, I completely forgot he was waiting for me outside the room. He looked at me petrified, waiting for my reaction and I wondered how much has he exactly seen. I didn't know what to do, I couldn't break Simon's heart again but I couldn't just let König watch this and suffer.

"König I... this isn't..."

---

Ghost didn't budge, not caring if the other man was in the room. Not caring in what vulnerable position he was, all that he wanted was your approval. That you wanted him, just like he wanted you.

He missed how you called him Riley, you were the only one he allowed to do so. The way your tongue rolled the 'R' made him think of a purring cat, your slavic accent only being apparent when your words slipped once in a while.

It's been too long since he heard you speak to him like you had that night. How you asked him not to leave you alone, to stay, only to comfort him instead. He was hooked on you from the day he had a taste. God, why has he done so?

Now he has been waiting for over a month, just to hear your voice. Like I said. Way too fucking long. He was going to do everything to make you forgive him, to want him again. König wasn't too happy about it but the man seemed open for negotiations, especially if it would make you happier.

His head moved slowly towards König, your eyes were frozen on the other man. A slow nod of his head caused the bigger man to close the door behind him.

---

He knew what to expect as he heard you two talking in the office. The fact that Ghost still had his eyes on you was obvious and it infuriated him. What bothered König more was the fact your heart didn't seem to let go and to say that he was jealous would be an understatement.

He allowed Ghost to take the first step, see where your heart is placed and now he was seeing the effect's. They didn't make him any happier. The fact you got scared when he entered the room, the worry that filled your voice as you spoke about the other man and his current state.

Not only was he mad, he was also nervous. Scared that other could take his place, push him out of your heart and replace him, although he would never allow that to happen. Even if you didn't know each other for long the Austrian has developed a soft spot for you, one that if poked too roughly could ruin him instantly.

König made his way over to the two of you, the look in his eyes only convinced you that he could kill Ghost at any second. You didn't know but he wasn't mad at you, he could never be. He knew that a heart doesn't chose, that's exactly how he found you. Once it saw you it was set and done, never wanting another.

You had him wrapped around your finger and yet had no clue about it.

"Let go of Y/n."

His words were harsh and cold, his interference made Ghost look at you for the answer. He was still waiting for you to either deny his love or agree, however it looked like you chose to ignore it for now.

"König please calm down... Ghost... he just lost a lot of blood..."

"And that's why you are letting him touch you?"

He turned to you.

"If I bleed, will you let me touch you more as well?"

You looked at him shocked, his voice suddenly warm and hopeful. So you did the only sensible thing and pulled your hands away, taking a step back from the two of them.

"Both of you, stop acting like this! Ghost is sick, he doesn't know what he is doing."

König did feel the ping of betrayal in his heart as he heard you protecting the other man.

"This is her decision to make."

"I don't like being a side fling."

He eyed Ghost down, he wondered who's side would you take if he was against this. But he knew.

From the moment he met you he knew, you and Ghost had something that wasn't easy to separate. It was similar to what you felt towards König, he just didn't know the man would be as equally obsessed as he was. He wasn't going to let his bunny escape.

He would faster kill the man kneeling in front of you then let that happen. Which is exactly what they both agreed on. No harm was to come to you, not from them, nor from any other man or woman. It didn't matter who it would be. That build a soft understanding between them, something only two of them could relate to.

Neither of them wanted to let you go.

Neither of them planned on letting you go.

So why not come to an agreement?

They already had the opportunity to talk it over and now that you confirmed your feelings. Now that they knew how your small heart held both of them dearly. They would share you.

You were going to be staying at one base at a time anyway.

You just had yet to find out about it.

"No one is being a side fling!"

"I see... I understand."

He came closer to your small form, Ghost rose up from his kneeling position. Both of the men now towering over you. You looked quite cute when you were a little upset.

---

"Good, then let's go."

I stepped forward trying to go around them but König blocked my path, this made me look at him confused. His cold demeanor was gone like a light switch it reminded me of the time I saw him working. It was replaced with a nervous and worried attitude, his eyes looking down at me.

He acted like a scared puppy all over again.

"König?"

"I can't let you go yet Schatz."

Ghost was standing right next to him, preventing me from just walking around the man and leaving. His arms crossed on his chest but a soft look in his eyes.

"I will repeat myself once and once only. I am going. Now move."

They didn't move, they actually looked even more determined to do whatever they were planing.

"Liebe, bitte. Answer Ghost's question."

I froze in my spot as his words got to me. König was asking me to say whether I loved Ghost. Now with both of them looking down at me, having me cornered, I couldn't just ignore it anymore. As much as it hurt to say, it was the truth and König had all the right in the word to know about it.

"König... I'm sorry. I wish I could tell you I don't feel anything towards Simon, but it would be a lie."

I could feel that my words hurt all of us in a way, all the anger seemed to leave my body, it was being replaced with guilt and pain. I felt like I just disappointed him. No. Even worse. I felt like I stabbed a knife through his heart. Why am I always the one hurting them?

However their reaction was something I could have never expected.

"So you won't leave me, right?"

I opened my mouth to speak but I was too shocked to do so. Why would I want to leave König?

"It's fine if it's just the two of us, right? You won't find anyone else?"

Are the two of them high? First Ghost, now König. This was starting to become confusing.

"What are you talking about?"

He stepped closer and placed a hand on my cheek.

"I agree with Ghost, Hase."

"On what?"

"To let it be just the two of us."

My hand moved subconsciously to his, pulling it off my face and slowly bringing it back down.

"Just me and Ghost, you are not to find anyone else."

My eyes wandered to the man with the skull mask as he observed everything play out. That's when I realized, they have been planing this. I didn't know for how long and I could only guess. Not exactly sure how to take this I decided to just go with it.

Were they desperate enough to first talk to each other rather then to me about this? If that was the case, with how I felt I couldn't be mad at them. How could I be? This looked like they had paved the path for me to walk on smoothly.

So I nodded my head in approval and in the softest tone I could muster I spoke.

"Is that what the two of you want? For me to be... together with both of you?"

It felt weird saying it, maybe a little wrong as well

"That's what we have been saying for the past five minutes, Y/n."

"Okay then. If that's what the two of you want then... I will agree."

Before I could say anything else Simon's arms wrapped around me, his head buried in my shoulder as he almost lifted me off the ground.

"I'm still mad."

I wasn't. I couldn't be mad anymore, at least not at him. I knew this whole thing was never his fault to begin with, Persha and Price however... their loyalties laid elsewhere.

"What do you want me to do?"

He was genuinely asking, he actually wanted to fix things.

"I... will think about it. But for now we really should go, the doctor will be back soon."

They were supposed to bring some painkillers for Ghost to take to the base, I was surprised it was taking them this long. Suddenly I heard a rattle of a box and I looked at König who was holding the said medication shaking it side to side.

"The doctor won't be coming back. Liebe."
