"What-"

"You said they'd hop on me by now right? Doesn't that mean they want to ride me?"

"Technically yes-"

"So, do you want to ride me?" Ember chuckled

"Would it be creepy if I said yes?" the short hair girl asked

Ember chuckled softly as she shook her head, there was just something about the girl that she couldn't help but melt into

"Not at all" Ember said

"Then I'm totally interested" The girl smirked

"Oh. Oh damnnn" Ember chuckled

"You're really pretty, you know that?"

Ember's eyes wided a bit as she stared at the girl, raising a brow

"What?"

"I said you're pretty" the girl smiled

"O-Oh"

"You act as though you've never heard it before" the short hair girl chuckled

"I.... Um"

"Wait... Don't tell me-"

"Yeah, no one's ever told me that before" Ember chuckled awkwardly, lowering her head to stare at her shoes, avoiding all visuals of the short hair girl

"You're kidding"

"Wish I was. Unless you count the weird boomers online that always ask for titty pics"

"Just ask them to send theirs first and they disappear" The short hair girl chuckled

"Oh my God, I'll use that thank you"

"You're welcome" The girl smiled

Their eyes meet for a while, lingering as if they had a mental conversation with each other

It was obvious to Ember that the girl was leading down a road further than just a simple conversation

There was a connection between "beauty" and "love," something she found herself falling for when she first noticed Gabrielle

Breathtakingly beautiful was one definitely a way to describe her, but that wasn't just the reason Ember was taken by her

Her form of beauty that was merely aesthetic was something that could inspire lust - a thin replica of love based more in desire and conquest

But real beauty comes from within and it was only that form of beauty that could make lasting love connections. True love was a unity of souls, not facial features and products that will be wiped clean away come the evening time

Lust can be fun - she was not saying it wasn't - but where does it lead? What is it's purpose? Everyone she knew that prefered lust to love was damaged by someone

They won't trust anymore and without trust you couldn't have love, it just wasn't possible

Nothing can touch that but a true lover,  trustworthy and kind. Ember glanced over to the window and still saw the two men sitting there in what seem to be a small bicker yet no sign of Gabrielle anywhere

Trust, something she hadn't realized she had given Gabrielle without hesitation. But now her trust was broken as well as her heart

A hole that was going to take a while to fill if she even considered it

Though there were things in life Ember wanted to give up, Gabrielle she didn't know if she was on the list

But now, as she stood there next to a girl who held a wide smile and eyes full of hope, she couldn't help but consider crossing Gabrielle's name off for a second

Or maybe it was just the small crack in her heart from seeing Henry's face that had her head and emotions a mess

"But seriously, you're really pretty" The short hair girl said again, stepping a bit closer towards Ember

As she draws closer, the brunette felt  her heart beat so hard she feaed she'll hear it, and if the short hair girl did then Ember's secret thoughts would no longer be secrets anymore

"I can't believe no one has told you that.  But I'll make sure to remind you everyday that you're the most beautiful person I've ever laid my eyes on. I've actually had my eyes on you for a while, but it seemed as if your interests were.... Different" The girl mumbled

Ah shit, here we go

CUE THE GAY PANIC

"God you're so beautiful" the girl whispered

Ahhhhh shit, Y'ALL SEEING THIS!?

Fingers brushed gently against her cheek as they slid down to her chin and cupped it

"Can I?" She whispered

As if all of her dominance left her soul, Ember submitted immediately under the girl's touch yet she nodded

Although she was confused and gay panicking, a slight part of her was praying so hard that in the moment the girl would kiss her

Her eyes closed, head tilted upwards and then she felt the girl's lips... on her cheek

The barrister's lips alight on Ember's cheek like a dew freckled petal caught in a breeze, so soft and with the smallest hint of coolness that made her close her eyes

To most, a kiss on the cheek would be a sign of friendship, or a polite way to greet a stranger of the opposite sex. But they both knew that a simple peck can convey as much meaning as a full-on kiss. Simple though it may be, a kiss on the cheek is special in its own, unique way

"Here's my number" the short hair girl giggled as she pulled away, slipping a piece of paper into her hand

Ember was still quite frozen in place as she felt the paper slip into her hand that was stuffed in her pocket

"And also, I think your girlfriend is kinda pissed" The girl giggled as she used her chin the point behind Ember's body

The brunette furrowed her brows as she snapped her neck around, only to see a flushed Gabrielle standing there with her arms crossed against her chest and a brow raised

"I'll see you around. Ember" The barrister whispered into the brunette's ear before smirking and heading over towards Gabrielle

"Such a shame, you have no idea what you lost" she mumbled to the blonde before slipping into the store

Gabrielle scoffed as her eyes followed the girl that had the AUDACITY-

"What the hell are you doing with her?" Gabrielle hissed

"Excuse me?" Ember questioned

"You just run out here and that's what you're doing? Making out with random women!?" Gabrielle scoffed, taking a step closer

"Did you tell your boyfriend that you're doing the same?" Ember shot back, taking another step towards the girl, crossing her arm across her chest

Her eyes were narrowed, lines wrote across her forehead, those eyes were vulnerable and a sign of stress that should never have come their way

There was a tension in her manner, a tightness in her face and her eyes move more robotically than others. Every move she made was as if she had some clock ticking in her head, perhaps the countdown to her explosion

"Excuse me!?" She scoffed

"You heard me" Ember mumbled

"I'm not the one that kisses someone then the next day pick up someone else"

"And I'm not the one with a boyfriend" Ember raised her brow

"I- you wouldn't understand"

"Oh I understand very well, You wanted to know what it's like to kiss a girl before you ran back into the arms of your hunk"

"What the hell Ember"

"No. What the hell Gabrielle, you've been dragging me around and leading me on for no reason. I'm not a goddamned toy and I'm not for your entertainment"

"It's not like that-"

"Then PLEASE tell me what the hell it is"

"I can't! I just can't okay!" Gabrielle hissed

The two girls were too busy screaming at each other that they failed to realize how close they were

Chests pressed against each other as their eyes pierced into each others, stabbing with their minds as well as their mouth

"Then you have no right to be angry over me having a conversation with someone. You don't fucking own me. You own that man in there and that's it, don't act jealou-"

"Jealous!? I'm not jealous!" Gabrielle scoffed

"Oh sure you're not"

"I'M NOT FUCKING JEALOUS EMBER"

"Whatever the fuck you say Gabrielle"

"What the fuck is wrong with you!"

"What the fuck is wrong with yo-"

Before the brunette could finish her words, her lips were captured by familiar soft pink ones as she trapped their mouths together
