"You're gonna get us kicked out" Gabrielle chuckled as she pulled the door shut
"How am I going to get you kicked out of the car?"
"Because the driver-" the singer said before pointing to the front seat where a man nodded his head slightly
"Could toss us out"
"I'm sure this fine gentleman over here wouldn't mind if I held my girl a little while now would he?" Ember smirked at the man
"No no, not at all" The man said before pressed his feet on the gas
But when Ember turned to face the singer, to her surprise she was flushed red blushing
"What?" she asked
"You um. You called me y-your girl" Gabrielle whispered, tilting her head low to avoid those green orbs
Ember chuckled before bringing the tip of her finger to Gabrielle's chin, tilting the girl's head to face her own
A soft and tender kiss pressed against her lips firmly, lingering for a few second but it was enough to draw them into another realm
It was as if Ember saw her for the first time. That fire in her bones lit up her soul and brought meaning back into her heart
For she was making the right decision in her life, even if everything else was turning to hell
"So, where are you taking me?" The brunette questioned
"You'll see when we get there"
"I swear if we go to a fancy dinner, I'm suing you" She said
"And why's that?"
"Do I look like a boring 40 year old who fucks their secretary and a dinner is the only way to make it up to their wife?"
"Th-thats very descriptive, should I be worried?" Gabrielle questioned
"Yes dear, I'm fucking the secretary and you can have the kids" Ember smirked earning a fake gasp from the blonde
"But GEORGE! Who's going to pay for my monthly botox!?" Gabrielle pouted
"I don't know Bethany, ask the pool guy that you screw around with in OUR bed" Ember playfully glared
"Don't make this about me! You're the one who needs Viagra!"
"Ouch, why would you think I'd need Viagra if I was a man!" Ember chuckled, breaking character
"YOU BROKE CHARACTER" Gabrielle squealed
"IM SORRY IT WAS JUST FUNNY"
"YEAH IT WAS"
"WHY ARE WE SHOUTING"
"I DON'T KNOW" the two girls chuckled
It was times like these that Ember felt at peace with herself, knowing she finally gave herself the opportunity to open up and change
It took energy to forgive the blonde but it took something else in her to agree to continue
It takes strength to put your feelings aside and allow someone to show you the best of them
And the way things were going, she knew she wasn't going to kick herself in the foot the next day
Maybe Gabrielle was being completely honest, it was noticeable how much the girl was glancing over at her and blushing before turning away. But one thing was for sure
Ember couldn't keep her hands off the singer. Hell, it was going to take something else inside her to resist anything Gabrielle did
"We're here Ms" The driver announced
"Thank you" The singer grinned before latching her fingers around the door
"Ready?"
"Ready" Ember smiled, following the girl out the car
But the brunette furrowed her brows when she exited the car
The abandoned theme park graced the valley as if a had become a sort of visual question, one that asked us all why we didn't play more often. The sign stood strong along with every structure, the path that led in was dimly lit but there was something so calming about the scene
"Come on, don't be scared" Gabrielle chuckled
A warm touch soothed Ember's palm, making her look down to where it met. Gabrielle's fingers were intertwined within her own, sending that warm feeling of comfort through Ember's body
"Trust me" Gabrielle muttered before tugging the girl towards the gate
"Are you planning to kill me in here?" Ember smirked
"Yes" the blonde said bluntly
"Oh- thank god"
"Shut up" the singer chuckled
"Finally, Santa's giving me my Christmas gift. Death by a beautiful woman" the brunette smirked once more
"You really think you're so smooth huh?" Gabrielle asked
"Yes and there's other parts of me that's smooth, are you willing to find out?" Ember questioned
"Oh my god" the blonde laughed
The second their feet crossed over the gate, a pathway of lights appeared one by one like a torch being lit every two seconds
Ember's eyes widened in amazement but fright at the same time
"Don't worry, it's just the guard" Gabrielle chuckled
The ticket booth looked abandoned but to Ember's surprise, there was a man hidden inside who were looking at them
"Hey Austin" Gabrielle waved at the man as they walked past
"Night Gabby" He waved back
The two girls continued down the path, Ember raised a brow at the short hair blonde
"What?"
"How do you know him and why are we allowed in here?"
"I used to work here a few years ago, it was the first job I ever had"
"Did you scoop shit-"
"EMBER"
"SORRY, THERE WAS AN OPPORTUNITY"
"Oh so everytime you see an opportunity, you're going to take it?" Gabrielle asked
But the second she finished her words, a small touch was placed on her lips. Ember pecked the girl's lips quickly before pulling away with a smile
"Yes" She grinned
The blonde was still standing there with her cheeks flushed
"Oh-" she muttered making Ember laugh
"You're so cute, I swear to god" Ember smiled
"No, shut up"
"Yes. You shut up"
"WOULD YOU SHU-"
"do you want me to kiss you again!?" Ember hissed as a threat
But it only made Gabrielle smile even wider as she started to nod her head up and down at a rapid pace
Ember chuckled as she shook her head smiling
"God you're so cute" She grinned before leaning down once more
The soft touch of soft skin pressed onto each other, Ember's hands cupped the girl's neck as she tilted her head up to her. She could feel the deep exhale of the blonde on her skin, making their moment even more sensitive
Gabrielle's lips were as good as her eyes in painting a picture of her emotions
Those lips brought a brightness on every day, both in their perky hue and the sun-golden words she shone
Ember was swimming a pool of honey gold and held by the warm feeling of those pink petal lips
Perfect, it was the best way to describe what she felt. Perfect.
Changes were needed, changes were happening in her life and God knows she was ready to take it head on
Small steps or huge leaps, Ember was ready to start her future with Gabrielle if it was the last thing she did
