Narrator's pov

Her parents couldn't move, they stood frozen at the podium after receiving the news of what Ember had been doing under their noses
They had two choices, cancel everything right then and there, sending the crowd of people into a spiral, resulting in backlash, headlines from the press, articles and a deep loss in patients. Their whole legacy would go down
Or they could agree and stay quiet, whichever will they choose?
"We would like to thank Ember Atkins for pulling off an incredible event" her father started off as he muttered into the microphone
A few reporters shouted questions for the Atkins
"Mr Atkins, how does it feel to have the entire city behind your back and the support you've seen tonight?"
"It... Feels..."
"Overwhelming, he feels overwhelmed about the. Love. Being. Received" Her mother said as she glanced over to Ember
The brown hair girl simply grinned and waved at the crowd, awaiting her next surprise
"When did you come up with such a big plan" A reporter asked
"Well you see. We've always felt as though there wasn't enough being done. Public hospitals only have a certain amount of services offered and many private hospitals operate for profit. We at Atkins hospital took a step back saw it so differently. Everyone deserves to be treated fairly" Her father answered
"Good answer" Ember whispered before chuckling
He always had such a way with words and holding his composure in stressful situations, she could only imagine the earful she'll hear when she gets home
A car started to approach the street again, cameras turned and started flashing at them
"What is this" Her father hissed
"That's my other surprise" Ember grinned
"Ember stop this foolishness!"
"Oh this has nothing to do with you" she said before pushing her parents aside, leaning over the microphone
"If I can please have everyone's attention, I have one more surprise in store for someone" Ember said
As the car came to a stop, Fallon popped out quickly, flicking the girl a smile and a thumbs up
He pulled open the door to reveal a short hair blonde who had a blindfold around her eyes and a headphones attached to her ear
"Fallon, where have you kidnapped and brought me" Gabrielle groaned
Fallon held the girl's hand as he started to guide her up the steps. A few people emerged from the car behind the two teenagers which only sent the crowd in another spiral
Gabrielle wasn't aware of anything that was going on, the headphones had blocked out every sound and the blindfold was tied so tightly around her face. The last thing she knew was being at home and Fallon asking her to play a game, the next thing she knew was being in a moving car
Hell, she wasn't even aware that there were people in the car with her
Ember grinned at the few people that came out the car as she motioned for them to join her at the podium
Poor Gabrielle was still dressed in her pajamas as Fallon slowly led her up the stairs, making sure she took her time, simply confusing her even more
"Fallon, how much longer oh my god" she groaned
It took a few more steps for Gabrielle to reach the top of the stairs where Ember stood with the few people
Her fingers around Gabrielle's headphones as she tugged it off
"Shh, it's okay" Ember chuckled into the girl's ear
"Ember? What the hell is going on" Gabrielle questioned
The brown hair girl hooked her fingers behind the blindfold, gently unwrapping it then tugging it off Gabrielle's face
Golden orbs expanded within themselves as Gabrielle's eyes were met with
Never before had she noticed how time was so much like water. It passed slowly with every second, a drop at a time, even frozen or rushed by in a blink
Her heart slowly thumping in her chest as her breath slowly left her nostrils
The sounds of the crowd become part of the happy centre of her brain, reaching in and pulling out the joy
Those slow seconds of shock dissapeared before the realization ran her over
She was at the top of the podium with Ember grinning at her side, while on her other side stood two of the most iconic people in the world she lived in
Luna and Aelia smiled at the girl before chuckling at her dazed state, not to mention her standing in front there with pajamas on. At the time the embarrassment was immense
But a warm feeling brought her back to life, as if she was pulled back into a daze created by the one person who could control her every emotion
The warm touch of Ember's fingers intertwined with her own took the air out of her lungs as she turned to face the brown hair girl
Those warm hands were her medication, her heart-song and her light
"Hi" Ember whispered
"H-hi" Gabrielle muttered under her breath
Ember giggled at the girl's confused and flustered state
Love compacted the senses, and as when stardust so compacted in the universe, a new star is born with its own gravity and radiant light
"I know you're a little confused" Ember smiled
"Little is... An understatement" Gabrielle whispered
"Gosh they're so cute" Aelia's voice chuckled lightly
Immediately, Gabrielle's eyes flung wide open at the voice
Like a child who's been caught grinding their genitals on the edge of a chair, Gabrielle's body froze in spot
She slowly turned around like a rotating rotisserie chicken to face the person
Aelia was as vivid as a summer's portrait under the sun, blonde hair more vibrant that a fire donned her head, starkly contrasting to her smile. Her mouth was raised into a smile. Behind her stood some of Gabrielle's favorite artists that she admired dearly, the people who inspired her to find a way through mud. All thoughts of Gabrielle had been erased from her mind and she gawped to watch her idol in front of her
"There's.. No fucking way" She muttered under her breath
"Um. Babe" Ember leaned in behind the girl's ear
"You're on a microphone"
Gabrielle's eyes were now frozen in place as the panic started to dispute into her veins
"Shit"
"You're just digging your grave" Fallon laughed
"Hi" Aelia grinned
"H-hi, oh my god" Gabrielle released
"It's finally nice to meet you" The girl said
"F-finally?" Gabrielle raised a brow
"I've been meaning to tell you" Ember chuckled
"Tell me... What?" Gabrielle muttered
The poor girl's mind was sputtering all over the place, her heart was pounding within her chest while her confusion only made it worse
"Once upon a time, I met a girl in a crowded park. I was clouded by my own thoughts when something called me. Your voice is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. Your soul had been broken yet you use your voice to heal. You have a plan of how to make this world a better place and I will tell you all the ways in which you are beautiful. I've never been inspired by something, by someone until I met you. I've seen you crumble, but now it's time to see you build. And as much as I want to be selfish, I can't keep you and your voice to myself, the world deserves to be healed, the world deserves to know your name" Ember stated before nodded towards Aelia
The long hair blonde girl smiled before she placed a hand on Gabrielle's shoulder
At this point, the girl was waiting to explode. Her with each word that left Ember's lips, her heart rate increased more and more. It was as if she was dreaming, only something this crazy could exist in her dreams but Aelia's hand on her shoulder made it aware that she's awake
"My team and I have been working with Ember for a while, she's shown me your shows, your covers, we've basically seen it all-"
"Including you singing in the shower- ow!" Ember groaned when Gabrielle elbowed her sides
"-I'm sure you're going crazy inside wondering what I'm talking about" Aelia chuckled only resulting in the short hair blonde nodding her head frantically
"What I'm trying to say Gabrielle is, we would love to sign you, work with you on some songs and maybe even an album" Aelia grinned
The blood drained from Gabrielle's face, words couldn't register as quickly for the girl. Her brain stuttered for a second and the cheering was drowned out by the silence in her head
That feeling of pause kicked in while her brain made a new connection, one that brought high emotions of extreme joy
"Congratulations baby" Ember whispered, her warm breath hitting the the girl's ear
Gabrielle surely couldn't react with the excitement starting to build up within her, but there was one thing she knew for sure
Ember Atkins was someone people spend years looking for and she couldn't be happier to have someone like her in her life
So she reached her arms around the girl's neck, within seconds their bodies were smashed together and Gabrielle's lips were pressing gently against the brunette's
They both smiled into their kiss as their lips moved tenderly against each other, tasting their lover through their mouths
Their emotions had been on a high but Gabrielle knew her days will continue to be on top as long as she had the one girl who's heart was as large as her appetite
