The cold was something Ember loved, especially the when the rain dropped to the earth, cleansing the land with its freshness. Some might say it washes away all that nature had given but in Ember's mind, the rain came to take back what man placed on earth

Each falling drop unique like a snowflake yet we care not for it, Ember always took the time to appreciate every single rain drop that cascaded from dark clouds. For she had no idea when again she might see those drops come again

After a steamy hot shower to melt away the embarrassment she faced this morning when her hanging titties were a toddler's new idol, she needed a fresh start to the day. And maybe, just maybe, she would stop thinking about that short blonde girl that took up space in her mind rent free

But how is it that she could ever force herself to stop thinking about such beauty? Like a man on the hunt, finding the perfect diamond ring for his beloved. once it was true love, he would have that image burnt in the back of his head, the way it would grace her finger, the grin, the way her eyes would become glossy from the perfect diamond shining under the moonlight. It would be an image he would never stop thinking about. Beauty, which is exactly the way Ember felt towards the singer

She was more than beauty itself, some might say her face resembled one of a Victoria secret model, other's might say she was an enchantress, capturing men with her green eyes that were so light that it looked golden. Well ofcourse those types of people would be the same that refuse to vaccinate their children which they block the abortion clinic doors with painted rocks with their opinion on someone else's body

But we aint finna talk about that

No, she was more than just a pretty face. The girl had such a voice that hypnotize a snake out of it's cave. It was just as calming as the waves, pushing and pulling against the shore, the small tingle you'd feel when the frizzle touches your toes. It was the stars shining brightly in the velvet sky, the one's you made a wish on and hoped for the better, hope for a change. She was everything and more, and Ember knew she was getting herself in deep

Especially to the fact that she still couldn't get the girl out her mind as yet and has me talking big words about Gabrielle. Come on Ember, look alive

The brunette gripped the black umbrella around her fingers, sliding it shut as she pushed open a familiar door. The smell of steaming chocolate hitting her nostrils, followed by the white creamy liquid that was stirred in the sugar. The café was warm as ever, compared to the chilling environment outside

Her eyes glanced around the room, hoping to see that familiar smile that was enough to warm her cold heart. But there was no sign of the blonde in the cafe

Ember let out a sigh before she swung her scarf over her shoulder and adjusted her black trenchcoat, it was enough to keep her warm since she won't be seeing Gabrielle's smile that morning

"Hi good morning, what are you having?" The barrister asked as the girl walked up to the counter

"Not sure if you remember me but I think you're the one that made the hot chocolate the other day?" Ember asked

"Ofcourse I remember you, you're the girl that was flirting hardcore with the entertainment" The girl giggled

Ember towered her head low as a small pink stain appeared on her cheeks, embarrassed at the memory of her being an ass in front of so many people

Well, could you blame her? She needed to shoot her shot someway

"Yeah. That" Ember mumbled

"Awe, things didn't work out?" The girl pouted

"I'm... Not sure to be honest" Ember mumbled

"It would have been an interesting story to tell the kids" The girl said

"It would, wouldn't it?" Ember chuckled

"One medium hot chocolate please, I think I actually prefer the taste of it more than coffee"

"Coming right up" The girl said

"You might as well make it two" A voice came from behind

Ember's heart suddenly made a flutter as the gentle tone of the familiar blonde that leaned around her shoulder to the counter

Her short wavy hair fell over the side of her face, she looked different since Ember was accustomed to seeing the girl with straight hair but she looked even more beautiful than usual. Her light green eyes touched the golden lights of the cafe, making her orbs look like the rich gold ores of the land after being melted by heat and swirled in a pool of intoxication. Her small button nose had a touch of pink, perhaps from the cold while her lips had a pink glossy look to them that made Ember fight everything inside herself to not lean in and kiss them right there and then. She was beautiful, simply beautiful and Ember had no idea how someone could look so hypnotizing and cute at the same time

"Hi" Ember barley whispered, her breath feeling deeper

"Hi" Gabrielle giggled, placing a twenty dollar bill on the counter

"Oh no, let me"

"No it's okay, this one's on me. Besides, I need to apologize to you" Gabrielle mumbled

"Oh, you do?" Ember raised a brow

"Just, meet me over in our booth" Gabrielle muttered

"Oh, so we have a booth now?" Ember smirked

The singer playfully rolled her eyes but her smile still followed, being unable to contain it as well as her flustered cheek

"You know what I mean"

"Yep, we have a booth now. Gosh everything's going so fast" Ember chuckled

"Oh my god" Gabrielle groaned

"Might as well announce the wedding right now" Ember smirked

"You better no-"

"EXCUSE ME, MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE" Ember yelled out loud in the room

All heads seemed to turn in their direction, customers placed their beverages onto their tables or they looked away from their computers just to give the brunette their full attention

"Oh my god" Gabrielle giggled, finding herself so consumed with embarrassment that her face that turned completely red

There was nothing else for her to do other than allow the heated feeling to consume her. The girl sunk her face into the side of Ember's shoulder to hide her blush but she lost herself when hiding into the thick clothing and smelling Ember's intoxicating scent that made her head spin

"THIS BEAUTIFUL SPECIMEN OVER HERE HAS AGREED TO MARRY ME" Ember yelled out

It didn't even take a second for the crowd to react, their hands were tossed into the air as the deafening claps filled the warm room, showing their support for the two girls

"Where's the ring!" Someone screamed

"Ah, I don't have one on me but. I'll make sure to substitute" Ember chuckled, turning her attention back towards the singer

She didn't even notice that Gabrielle was gripping onto her clothing, sinking herself deeper into her fragrance

"May I?" Ember asked

Gabrielle pulled herself away from the girl's clothing, finding having her sense kick in but immediately missing the smell of sweet vanilla

Ember's finger wrapped around the edge of her coat, twirling around a lose string on the edge before ripping it out

She took the girl's hand in hers and immediately felt a weird sensation in her body. An electric sensation filled her veins, shocking her for a second and jump starting her heart at the soft feel of the girl's hand in her own. The girl furrowed her brows at the feeling but ignored it

Maybe she wouldn't have ignored it if her eyes had glanced up for just a second to see that Gabrielle had also felt that sensation in her body

Gabrielle sunk her teeth into her bottom lip as she watched Ember wrap the piece of string around her ring finger to form a knot

"There, here's your ring until I find a better one" Ember grinned

And so Gabrielle blushed. Again. It was the blush of roses, that peek of champagne pink

The colour infused cheeks dimpled with the blossoming smile and her eyes shone in a way that only deep happiness could bring

And it was just enough to give Ember hope. Hope that maybe she was doing something right for once in her life
