The Luna’s Pure Heart – Chapter 54

(Damion pov)

After I was finally able to get my reluctant Beta’s and gamma to leave our floor, I had someone come up to clean the mess in our room. Everyone was on edge, well everyone but me..I on the other hand am ready to go to war. I know without a doubt my uncle sent that man..the fact that the rogue was able to climb from the second story..the guest quarters, which were being guarded by the elder’s warriors per their request. Seriously, that’s how brazen my uncle is behaving..he even came out of a window only accessible from my uncle’s quarters.

There was no way this rogue would have been able to lay a finger on me or Eleanor..he was sloppy and careless. That’s why I know this was a distraction, maybe a warning, not a very good one though if you ask me.

But the fact that my uncle attempts something like that with my mate in the same room, that’s where s**t gets serious..No one and I mean no one puts my Eleanor in danger like that. I plan to make that loud and clear tomorrow morning. This whole thing was meant to come to a head in over a month at the moonball, but it looks like we will have to do things ahead of schedule.

I grabbed Eleanor’s hand while she thanked the cleaners as they bowed and took their leave. I heard a long shuttering sigh leave her as I pulled her closer to my chest, enveloping her in a deep comforting hug.

“Are you sure you’re okay?” I whispered, looking down at her as she closed her eyes and nuzzled against me.

“Yeah, I’m just glad you are okay..if anything happened to you, Damion..” She trailed off, her wavering voice making my stomach drop.

I reached my hand up, gripping her chin as I tilted her head back, gazing into those big beautiful eyes.

“I’m okay Darling, I promise that there is nothing in this world that will take me away from you. I won’t let that happen.” I breathed against her soft lips, my skin grazing against her as desperation soon consumed me.

Crashing down, my mouth fused to Eleanor’s, a sharp gasp leaving her and creating the opening I needed to claim her mercilessly. We rolled our tongues together, her hands gripping my shirt as she fed me her soft satisfied m***s. I swallowed every sound greedily, finally pulling back just long enough to let her gasp for air.

“Come take a shower with me.” My voice rumbled, the hunger for Eleanor taking me over completely.

Before she could even respond, I lifted her up and took her mouth once more. She wrapped her legs around my waist like a good girl and I couldn’t help but chuckle against her.

I took a step closer, looking down at Eleanor like I wanted to devour every inch of her..in the best way possible. To my amusement she took a step back, her cheeks flushed and her l*p caught between her teeth nervously. Was my Darling getting shy again? How the hell could she be so pure and innocent, the goddess made this one special..very special. She looked like an adorable little bunny being cornered by the big bad wolf. I think she deserves her own little pet name now, a very special one.

I took another step, my arms coming out and slamming against the tiled wall behind her. Trapping her beneath me and causing her to yelp from surprise. After washing my Eleanor, I walked out of the shower and placed a towel around her and set her in the bathroom counter. I made sure to keep one hand on thigh at all times so she wouldn’t fall off.

She nodded her head in heavy slow motions, she was completely exhausted.

“So you like my package then?” I teased and she nodded again, her eyes now closed as she swayed slightly. Maybe I went a little too hard on her tonight…

“Oh very much so..it’s so pretty.” She smiled, opening her eyes now. Wait..did she just call my “package” pretty?! That’s not the word I would have used…

“Titus and I came up with it together, because you are like a cute little bunny when you get shy.” The words slipped out of my mouth, as I emphasized the word cute.

“Cute huh?” She smiled sweetly and my heart just about burst.

“Very, very cute.” I grumbled against her lips, placing her in the bed under our comforter as I wrapped my arms around her. Inhaling, I took a deep satisfying breath as her scent filled my lung..my sweet little bunny.

I waited for her firey response as I held her tight and was soon met with soft snores..my precious mate, how you make everything so much better..thank you, thank you for saving my life and giving me a reason..a real reason to live.
