My friends are a bunch of idiots!

Most idiotic people in the history of idiotic people.

"I gave you one task, dumbass. One fucking task!" I hiss, hitting Ashton on the back of his head. "You just have to make sure that Bruce doesn't get to know that something is going on."

"Ouch, woman. It hurts." He yelps, rubbing the spot where I hit him, giving me an eye roll. "He doesn't know okay. I was just teasing you. He is completely clueless about our plan. He just thinks that we all are meeting after the pool party to talk about tomorrow's plans."

Thank the fucking lord!

A breath of relief leaves my lips. "It better be that way. I want this to be successful."

"So, now that we are done harassing Ash, can we discuss what we have to do further?" Erica asks, eyes gleaming with utter excitement. "I cannot wait for them to get together."

I giggle. "Just wait for Ridge. When he'll be back, I'll tell you guys what to do. Until then, shuffle away. we are still in open. That means, Bruce or Trish can see and hear us."

Her eyes widen. "Right, okay." She scurries away, taking Ashton with her.

A few moments later, Ridge makes his way towards me with Neil and Eric, who are all grinning like fools. I guess he told them about what's going down.

"I got what you wanted sweetheart." He says as soon as he comes to stand in front of me. I take the pen and the notepad from him, smiling.

"So, what's the plan?" Eric asks me, putting his hands in the pocket of his jeans.

"The plan is to lock the lovesick fools in a room until they admit the fact that they like each other." I pause, "Well, until Trish admits that she likes him."

"Do you think this will work?" Neil inquires.

"Lydia's plans always work. There's no doubt in that." Tanner's voice comes from behind me, startling all of us. I turn around to glare at him.

"What?" He scoffs, "Bruce didn't hear your plans. He's not even here right now."

"Right, so listen here boys." I start, "I have already talked to Kiara and Em and they already know what to do. Same goes for you guys, do as I say and everything will go on just fine."

They all nod their heads.

"Right, I'll be writing a letter addressed to Bruce and Trish with an anonymous identity and ask them to meet the other in the store room on our floor. And before you ask anything, I've already checked the store room, there's no harm in using it. It's open and according to the information I've gathered from one of the housekeepers, we can use it as long as nothing is stolen or broken."

"And how did you do it?"

I give him a blank look. "I'm a girl."

Neil suppresses a chuckle. "Right."

I ignore the strange look Ridge passing me and continue. "So, Ashton and Ridge will make sure that Bruce goes to the room after we give him the letter, without him knowing of course, and Erica and Kiara will make sure that Trish does the same. Rest will be mine and Em's responsibility."

"That's a good plan." Tanner mutters. "But what will I be doing?"

"Exactly! I wanna do something too." Eric grumbles, frowning.

"Then give me something too. I don't wanna feel left out." Neil adds, shrugging.

"You guys can deliver the letters?" I suggest.

"There are only two letters, sweetheart." Ridge deadpans.

"Then two people can hold one letter. I don't know, decide on your own. You're all grown ups." I remark, rolling my eyes. "I'm not going to spoon feed you."

"Okay." Neil chuckles, putting his hands up in surrender.

"Now that we've decided what to do, get back to what you guys were doing and make sure that everyone is in their respective rooms by midnight. At exactly one in the morning I'll send the letters. And the rest depends on how you guys persuade Bruce."

"Why are't the girls being harassed like this?" Eric whines.

"Because girls aren't dumb."

"Hey!" Tanner protests, "I'm not dumb. Eric, Ridge and Neil are."

And they start their own argument on who's dumb and who's not. Personally, I think everyone is dumb. But we have a task at hand, so I'll argue with these morons some other day. I weave through the crowd to look for Em to put my plan to action. I spot her near the drinks counter, chatting with a girl animatedly. I interrupt them, pulling her with me.

"What?" She asks me, taking hold of my arm. "Where are we going?"

"We are going to the our room so that we can write those letters." I whisper in her ear, making sure no one's listening. We cannot risk anything.

"Letters?" He face morphs into one of confusion, but it goes away just as soon. "Right. Letters."

Together, we stumble out of the party area, silently making our way towards our floor. Once we reach our room, I check the time - 11:23 pm. Quickly, I send everyone a message indicating that the first part of the plan is in motion. After changing into comfortable clothes, Em and I quickly throw the things needed on our bed and take comfortable positions. We get around, writing a bunch of letters but all of them come out either too corny or creepy or cringey.

Finally, when we our done with the letters, Em reads them out loud for confirmation.

"Hey beautiful,

I know this might sound a little creepy but I've been wanting to talk to you the whole night. But I'm a little shy so I couldn't do it. So, I'm writing this letter to you. If you can, meet me in the store room on the second floor of the hotel at 1 today.

P.S. You looked absolutely gorgeous today.

Love, anonymous ♡"

"Wow. Such a beautiful letter this is." I wipe a fake tear, smiling happily. "I wish someone writes letters for me. I might even marry that person."

"Really?" Someone voices out from the door, scaring me to death.

"Fuck." I whisper, desperately taking deep breaths when I realize that it's just Ridge who decided to interrupt us. "You scares the shit out of me."

He lets out a low chuckle. "Sorry sweetheart, I didn't know you were that sensitive."

I scowl at him, recovering from my near death experience. "Fuck you."

"Sure." He winks at me.

"Okay, lovebirds. We have one more letter to read out." Em interrupts us, waving the paper in front of my face. Ridge removes his shoes and sits next to me, wrapping his arms around my waist, putting his head on my shoulder.

"Go on, I'm listening." Ridge mutters against my neck, sighing.

She gives me a suggestive look, smiling creepily but doesn't comment on anything and starts reading the letter addressed to Bruce.

"Hey handsome,

I saw you at the hotel pool party today. Did not have the courage to talk to you face to face so here I am, writing a letter. I hope I'm not creeping you out though. So, if you can and if you want to, meet me in the store room on the second floor of the hotel at 1. I'll be waiting for you :)

P.S. - You should smile more often!

With love,

Your secret admirer ♡"

"But, what if they see each other when they reach the room?" Ridge asks, lifting his head from my shoulder.

"Oops?" Em mutters.

"You can make Bruce go a little late. Like after five minutes?" I tell him.

He nods his head. "We can do that."

"Good, now we just wait till everyone gets back to their room." I clap my hands I excitement. Hopefully, everything's going to turn out well.

Fingers crossed folks.

"I'm so tired." Erica mumbles, throwing herself on the bed.

"- of love songs?" Em asks.

"No." Erica chuckles, turning towards us, pushing her hair away from her face. "Love songs are kinda cringey though."

"Says the girl with a boyfriend. Hypocrisy at it's finest right here." Em announces, chuckling.

I climb out of the bed when I check the time on my phone which says that it's 12:30 pm. Pulling my hair a messy up top, I grab my shoes and put them on. "Girls, I'm going to the guys' room to give them the letters. How about you all head to Trish's room so that we make sure everything goes well?"

"Yeah, okay." Both of them get up simultaneously, getting ready. Together, we leave our room, closing the door behind us. I make my way towards Tanner's room while they head towards Trish's room. I knock on the door twice and wait for one of them to open the door. A few seconds later, the door opens, revealing a tired looking Eric, whose eyes widen as soon as he opens the door. "I completely forgot about this part of the plan."

I chuckle and make my way past him, to see Tanner and Neil on their bed, busy with their phones. "Get up lazyheads, its the time to play Cupid."

For once, without protesting, they sit up straight on the bed and both of them throw their phones on the bed. "So, who's going where?" Tanner asks.

"Eric and Neil will go to Bruce's room and Tanner you will go to Trish's room." I inform them.

"Cool." They oblige silently, getting up on their feet. When all three of them are ready, we leave the room and silently make our way towards the respective rooms. I decide to head to my room for the time being. Since I have nothing else to do, I rummage through my suitcase, deciding tomorrow's outfit. Since we'll be going to the beach tomorrow I pick a yellow and white spaghetti strap sundress.

Fifteen or twenty minutes later, I get a call from Ridge saying that Bruce has left the room. Same goes for Trish. Squealing excitedly, I silently walk out of my room to see Ridge waiting for me outside.

"Come on." He gestures towards the front, where the room is situated. From where we are walking, I can see Bruce walking towards his destination slowly. As if he's having second thoughts. But I guess he really is curious about the letter because his steps quicken as he moves a little faster and opens the door of the store room quietly, before stepping inside.

This is it. No take-backs. Hastily, I lock the door from outside, punching in the code Kevin told me. Kevin is the housekeeper I was talking about earlier.

Fists starts pounding on the door as Bruce yells from inside. "Who the fuck is this?! Open the fucking door before I break it down!"

"Sorry Bruce, this door won't open until you guys make up." I shout. Ridge starts chuckling from my side.

"I should've fucking known! That letter was too good to be true!" He yells, and I can imagine him running his hands through his hair in frustration.

"Sorry honey, we won't be opening the door until you guys talk it out, kiss, have sex or do whatever you guys can do to fucking get together."

"I'm so going to kill you Lydia when this door opens." Shouts a very annoyed Trish.

I laugh. "You won't honey. In fact you both will be showering me with hugs and kisses after doing that with each other."

"You are one of a kind, sweetheart." Ridge whispers, a dimpled smile plastered on his face.

I wink at him. "I know."
