Bali was an amazing adventure.

But now we are back to reality, and I'm starting to feel like Jesus hates me. As soon as we were back to school from our trip, the school decided to throw a test bomb on the students. According to the school teachers, we need to have a test series to prepare ourselves for final exams. What bullshit.

And, twenty percent of these grades will add up in the finals. How fucking great that is. I mean, we are not even allowed to breathe without a book in our hands.

Sighing, I walk down the stairs, to see Em and Tanner already present near the dining table, having pancakes. Martha smiles at me and gestures for me to have a seat.

"Good morning fam." I greet everyone and dig into my breakfast as soon as Martha places a plate full of pancakes in front of me. Everyone murmurs back and then digs into their food.

I hear footsteps thumping on the floor, a clear sign that Whiskey is running around the house, probably coming down, to us. Not even a few seconds later, Whis runs down the stairs with dad trailing behind him, typing away on his phone.

Dad shoves his phone in his pocket and gives us all a bright smile. "Good morning everyone."

"Good morning dad." I say, finishing my breakfast. I wipe my face with the table napkin and get up to get a glass of water.

"Good morning old man." Both Tanner and Em greet him, and then snicker after making eye contact with each other. They so did that on purpose.

Dad glares at them, but doesn't reply and heads straight to the kitchen. "Martha, what do we have for breakfast today?"

"Pancakes." She replies, preparing more batter.

"Great, I'll have some too." Clapping, he lowers himself down on the chair and gets on his phone, again. He's seriously obsessed with his phone.

I pick up my bag from the floor and swing it on my shoulder. "Come on guys, or we'll be late."

Tanner and Em get up from their places and pick up their bags. Bidding everyone farewell, together we walk towards the front door but dad's voice calling my make stops us. "Yes dad?"

"Don't think for one second that I've forgotten about you and that Ridge boy. We still need to have that talk." He yells.

Oops, I'm screwed.

"Do you guys want to hangout today, after school?" I hear Ashton asks the group as I join them in the cafeteria, placing the bag near my chair.

"I can't. I have an important sociology assignment to complete." I frown. "And the deadline is tomorrow's."

"That's sad. But that's no problem, you can join us after you finish the assignment, you know?" Trish suggests, earning nods from everyone else.

"Sure, if I'm able to complete my work on time." I shrug.

"Great. So my place after school." Ashton announces, clapping his hands together. "I have beer and all, other snacks we'll get on the way."

"But what will we do?" Eric asks.

"Meditation." Bruce answers, giving us a creepy smile.

"Shut up Bruce." Trish retorts, hitting him on his shoulder. "We don't take suggestions from a dumbass like you."

"Don't talk to your boyfriend like that, honey." Kiara comments, pinching Bruce's cheeks. "Or else he might cry."

"I'm gonna miss this fun." I add, sighing.

"Then fuck the assignment." Neil shrugs, picking on his food.

"If I fuck the assignment, the teacher will fuck with my grades and we can't have that when I'm already in her black list." I inform them, making everyone chuckle. "But I'll try to finish it as fast as I can."

"I'll be waiting for you." Ridge whispers in my ear, smiling.

"And what if I don't come?" I raise an eyebrow.

I feel him smiling against my ear. "Then I'll come to you."

I spill the contents of my bag on my bed carelessly, trying to find a pen to start my work and finish it as fast as I can. All of my friends have already reached Ashton's place and are continuously sending me pictures of each other having fun to make me jealous. Bitches.

Rummaging through the millions of useless things, I spot my pen and pick it up and get to work. When I'm almost done with the assignment, I decide to take a break and lay down for a bit. And that laying down becomes by downfall because I fall asleep, assignment incomplete and final touch ups undone.

I wake up to the sound of my phone ringing loudly, making me groan in my sleep. I get up on my bed and let out a sigh. Picking up my phone from the bed, I look at the caller id. Ridge.

Why is he calling me? I look at the time on my wall clock, 10:02 p.m.

Damn, how long was I out for?

Groggily, I mutter incoherent words in my sleep induced state and click on the accept button.

"Hello sweetheart." He whispers into the receiver.

"Ridge, why are you calling me at this time of the day?"

"I want to see you." His words come out a little wobbly. Wait, is he drunk?

"Ridge, are you drunk?" I exclaim.

"What is that?" He asks, and I can picture him raising an eyebrow with a cute confused expression appearing on his face.

"Where are you right now?" I ask him. He's definitely drunk.

"Outside your house, waiting for you."

"Wait right there, I'll come and get you." I answer and disconnect the call and climb out of my bed hastily and run downstairs without even thinking twice about all the noise I'm making. I throw open the door and look outside, searching for my drunk boyfriend. I spot him near the entrance, walking towards me with small, wobbly steps. Running towards him, I hold him to give him support before he loses his balance and falls face first.

"Ridge, how much did you drink?" I hiss, trying to keep him on his feet.

"I remember drinking water." He smiles, dimples flashing.

Grunting, I put his weight on my shoulder and drag him inside before the neighbors wake up and complain about a noisy drunk teenager on the loose disrupting everyone's peace.

Quietly, I open the front door and get inside with Ridge. "Please be quiet." I whisper to him.

"I think it's too late for that." Dad's voice booms through the quiet surroundings, startling us.

"Oops, he caught us." Ridge snickers in my ears. He is so gonna get us in trouble for this. I take a step forward and bring Ridge with me. Em and Tanner rush down the stairs on hearing the noises. When they see a drunk Ridge in my arms, and dad standing in front of us, they break into fits of laughter.

I glare at them, hoping that they get the message, but guess what? Their laughter doesn't stop. Em flashes me a thumbs up and walks away, laughing her ass off. I'm so gonna kill her when I don't have my hands full with a drunk dumbass.

"Dad, I know this is a little inappropriate but I swear to god I'll take care of this. You can go back to sleep." I tell him, hoping that he doesn't get angry.

I wait for my dad to yell at me, saying that I'm grounded but all I get is a laugh. "I'm not going to scold you because your boyfriend is drunk. And frankly speaking, I've been in this position before so I will just say that take him to bed and make sure he takes medicine for the hangover and drinks plenty of water if he wishes to survive."

I look at him, mouth slightly agape. "So, you are not gonna scold me, or kill him? Or me?"

He shakes his head. "No, I'll go to sleep because I have an important hearing tomorrow morning. So, good night."

He turns around and climbs up the stairs, whispering something in Tanner's ear on the way. And then he's out. Tanner walks towards me, taking Ridge with him who's busy singing some boring ass song.

"Come on, let's take him to your room. I'm tired." Tanner mutters and then walks to my room with Ridge and me following behind, shocked.

Tanner places Ridge on my bed and walks out of the room after saying good night. I close the door and sigh. Ridge sits up on the bed and grins at me. Patting on the bed by his side, he gestures me to sit with him. "Come, sit with me sweetheart."

I dart towards him and sit, cross legged on the bed. He takes it as an opportunity to put his head in my lap and close his eyes. I run my fingers through his hair, earning a moan of appreciation from him. "What are you doing here, Ridge?"

He shrugs. "I don't know."

Okay, let's try this again. "What are you really doing here, Ridge." This time, my voice is a notch softer.

"I missed you." He sighs, his arms circling around my stomach, his face level with my stomach.

His answer surprises me. I did not expect him to say something like this. I take a deep breath, an effort to soothe the frayed nerves, sending chills through my body. Does he feel the same about me? Or is he saying this because he's drunk. His response has confused me to the core, leaving me with nothing to dwell upon.

"You know, I've only liked three girls in my life." He starts, getting comfortable, nuzzling my stomach. "First girl was Elina, new student, badass, confident and sweet. I liked her a lot. But she left the school and went back to her home town before I could tell her that I had feelings for her. Then came Sarah, you know the girl in our Chemistry class, who's always with that girl Jenny?"

I nod, vaguely remembering her. She had asked me a question related to chemistry once.

"She was a new student too, sophomore year. Cute, conserved, kind of a nerd but I liked her. Turns out, she was a lesbian all along. When I told her that I had a crush on her, she told me that she had a crush on Jenny, who's her girlfriend now."

Oh Ridge.

I can feel the hurt he must've been feeling at that time through his words. Running a hands through his hair, I kiss the crown of his head. "I'm sorry."

He shakes his head and then continues. "The third girl was Kristina. New student, an artist. The day I finally kissed her, she slapped me and told me that she had a boyfriend back home. And you know a fun fact, whenever we would hangout, she would flirt with me all the time. But she never once mentioned the fact that she had a boyfriend."

"Why are you telling me all this?"

"Because I'm drunk." He comments. I glare at him.

"Okay. It's because I think I like you. And I have a feeling that if I don't tell you soon enough, you'll slip away from my fingers and I won't be able to do anything about it. It will be the same shit all over again." He whispers. "Like history repeating itself."

I think I like you.

Oh my god.

I don't even know what to say. His confessions has left me flabbergasted. Shocked to no end. I'm completely and utterly dumbfound. How did this even happen? When did this even happen? I look down at his face too see that he has fallen asleep. I trace my fingers across his face, caressing his face with the pad of my thumbs. I bend down and place a soft, featherlight kiss on his eyelids. "I think I like you too. And I'm not going anywhere."
