“Nothing, he sent me a message saying that yesterday was your birthday.” Yi Ran opened the refrigerator and looked inside it. There was a big cake in there, and no matter how he looked at it, it didn’t look like much of it had been eaten at all. “Ge, you didn’t even let him know the truth… and then the two of you just cut the cake?”

Yi Chen finally looked back at him and said, “It was you who told him that yesterday wasn’t my birthday?”

“Yeah…” Yi Ran paused and said, “What’s the matter, Ge, shouldn’t I have said that ah? I just sent the reply over instinctively, you won’t blame me ba?”

Yi Chen didn’t answer the question, instead posing one of his own, “How do you know when my birthday is?”

He had originally thought it would be a message related to company matters, but didn’t expect it to actually be a message sent over by his mom.

“Your father and I have some small things to take care of. Maybe we can return to China before the Spring Festival.”

“How about spending New Years together ba?”

“This is…Your mom?” Yu Yan blurted out the question, only trying to explain after, “I didn’t mean to peek. I glanced over and accidentally saw it.”

Yi Chen let out an “en”, and clicked on the keyboard to reply—
