Volume 1 Chapter 12: Class Committee
The entire day, Ning Chu drifted through in a daze.
Perhaps it was because of the lewd thoughts that had filled his mind the previous night, or maybe he had thought too much before going to sleep, but in any case, he had not slept well. He kept having nightmares where he turned into a woman, being ravaged by Wen Yang and Zhang Shaoqing.
It was terrifyingâ¦
Usually, when he had a dream, if he woke up in the middle of it, he couldnât return to it. However, the nightmares from last night kept resuming every time he fell back asleep, leaving him restless throughout the night.
âDamnâ¦â
With a sleep-deprived brain, Ning Chuâs thoughts were in a chaotic state. He sleepily completed the morning military training and followed his classmates into classroom D203 in the teaching building.
It was a plain classroom with rows of desks and chairs.
Ning Chu randomly found a seat, slumped over the desk, half-opening his eyes, and gazing at the counselor standing at the front.
âLet me introduce myself again, just in case some of you have forgotten.â
The counselor turned and wrote his name and phone number on the blackboard: âIf you have any minor issues, contact me through the group chat. For major matters, call my phone directly.â
Han Jingye? The name sounded quite pleasant, and his appearance was refined and well-groomed.
Ning Chu wondered if the shady things involving female students behind the scenes had occurred in this story.
âNext, students who want to run for class committee positions can come up and give a speech.â
Ning Chu yawned, rested his cheek on the cool desk, and paid no attention. He had no interest in class committee elections unless he suspected Han Jingye of wrongdoing.
âWen Yang.â
âYeah?â Sitting at the same table as Ning Chu, Wen Yang lowered his head to look at him, his face squished by the desk.
After some consideration, Ning Chu continued, âIf you become a class committee member, please keep an eye on the girls who interact with the counselor.â
âOh? Interested in dating someone? Why specifically those who interact with the counselor?â
Ning Chu couldnât explain his baseless suspicions to Wen Yang, so he simply replied with a soft âHmmâ¦â
Then, without making any excuses, he responded to Wen Yangâs confusion with silence.
âWhy donât you give it a try too? Being a class committee member is not bad; it can help you develop your personality since youâre a bit introverted.â
âNo thanks.â
He had too many confusing matters to sort out; becoming a class committee member was out of the question.
Although he had entertained the idea of taking the initiative to approach Han Jingye, there was Wen Yang now, as Ning Chu had imagined. As expected, when Wen Yang stood up to run for the class committee, the outcome was already predetermined.
Unsurprisingly, Wen Yang became the class president, a mature-looking wolf girl became the vice-president, and a friendly guy from the same table became another vice-president.
Ning Chu was only interested in the wolf girl, admiring her fluffy tail. When he found out that she became a vice-president, her tail wagged like a small toy windmill. Even from a few meters away, the breeze generated by her tail reached Ning Chuâs face, more refreshing than an electric fan.
âThe vice-president is really something, isnât she?â Zhang Shaoqing leaned over, nudging Ning Chu with his shoulder, his tone full of innuendo, and he grinned in a slightly creepy manner. âLook at that hourglass figure. Look at those thighs.â
âUgh⦠She could probably punch me to death.â
The tank top and hot pants showcased the wolf girlâs figure perfectly, but Ning Chu seriously doubted that she could punch him to death on the spot.
Her wolf ears twitched, and suddenly she turned her head, locking her gaze onto him.
Wow, her ears are that sensitive?
He immediately backed down, leaned on the desk, lowered his body, and hid behind Wang Jie, one of his classmates.
âDonât be scared.â Zhang Shaoqing playfully smiled at the wolf girl. âBy the way, whatâs her name?â
âHow would I know? I didnât listen to what they said during the election.â
He had almost fallen asleep earlier.
Zhang Shaoqing chuckled wickedly. âYou were gossiping behind her back.â
âI was just jokingâ Besides, arenât your comments even more inappropriate?â
âNah~ I was praising her figure.â
Fortunately, the wolf girl didnât pay much attention to their remarks. Her ears twitched again, and she continued chatting with her friends, swaying her tail.
Ning Chu finally breathed a sigh of relief. He looked at the girl who stood at around 1.7 meters tall with a visible hourglass figure and compared it to his own feeble appearance.
He didnât feel very manly at all.
He didnât bother complaining about his appearance; in fact, he had no intention of working out to change it. If it werenât for the possibility of turning into a girl in this world, he would be a content underachiever.
Besides, even if he were to become a muscular man at 1.6 meters tall, it wouldnât make much difference.
âAlright, the three class committee members, stay. The rest can go.â
As soon as Han Jingye spoke, the students quickly scattered, rushing to the door.
âIn the future, class meetings will mostly be held hereâ¦â
Before he could finish his sentence, only three newly appointed class committee members remained in the classroom, along with Ning Chu, who had just yawned and stood up from his seat.
He looked around with bleary eyes, a bewildered expression on his face, and his gaze finally settled on Wen Yang.
âWait for me, Iâll be down in a moment, and we can go to the cafeteria together.â
âYeah.â
He sat down again, his face buried in his arms as if taking a nap, but his ears were perked up, listening intently to Han Jingye and the class committee membersâ discussions, afraid of missing any details.
Last night, Ning Chu had carefully searched the book for information about the counselor and had only found a short subplot about a hidden rule. In essence, the counselor used a scholarship as leverage to make a high-achieving female student willingly offer herself.
The key was the use of a scholarship as leverageâ¦
What a scumbag!@@novelbin@@
âIn the evening, collect information from your classmates and fill out the forms to send to me.â
âStarting tomorrow, Wen Yang will be responsible for roll call. Report to me if anyone is late or absent.â
âDuring the military training period, buy two cases of water and bread every day. If itâs not enough, buy more. Oh, I also bought a sun umbrella. Tomorrow, take it to the office. It can be used to shade from the sun during breaks.â
â¦
Ning Chu didnât hear anything valuableâ In fact, he felt like this counselor was quite dedicated.
âLetâs go,â Wen Yang lightly tapped the desk with his knuckles. âWeâre done here. Letâs go eat.â
âDidnât you sleep well last night? Youâve been half-asleep all day.â
Ning Chu yawned and sat up, stretching his arms high above his head. âYeah, I didnât sleep well.â
While he was chatting with Wen Yang, he kept an eye on Han Jingye. In fact, he had been observing Han Jingyeâs expressions since the class meeting, trying to figure out which girls this guy might be interested in.
Hmm, why does he keep staring at me?
Ning Chu stood up, quickened his pace to catch up with Wen Yang, and quietly asked, âDid you notice? The counselor keeps looking at me.â
âMaybe heâs wondering why a girl entered the boysâ dormitory?â
ââ¦â
Wen Yang smiled and looked down at Ning Chuâs clean and innocent face, âWith your height and looks, it would be strange if others didnât notice you.â
âThat makes sense.â
âAre you particularly interested in the counselor?â
Ning Chu hesitated for a moment. âIs it that obvious?â
âYeah⦠Are you⦠into the counselor?â
âIâ cough! Cough!â
Ning Chu was caught off guard by this question and choked, his face turning red. He struggled to catch his breath and finally retorted indignantly after recovering.
âI like women!â
Why was even Wen Yang, the straightforward guy, teasing him like this? Must be the influence of Zhang Shaoqing!
