It is set in an new region and characters from the anime/manga/games are unlikely to appear, though some might get mentioned if it suits the plot.
Also, I want to make this story first, and the finer mechanics of Pokémon second. This means thing like SilÃn being filled with a selection of Pokémon from every region so I have more variety to work with. It also means that while I'll keep to official movesets, I'll take liberties with picking from different generations if I feel it would make a more entertaining battle.
