After Christmas and the new year, Japan's cold weather got even colder, if the snowflakes falling from the sky were any indication.
UA students had two-week vacations, many engaged in epic snowball fights, others built snowmen, and others simply watched movies and Christmas specials while drinking hot chocolate, the latter being the case with Izuku and Himiko.
Both vampires were huddled under a sheet, each with a cup of hot chocolate with blood, watching 'Home Alone', having fun and coming up with new ideas for pranks and traps. Suddenly, Himiko had an idea.
"Hey Izu, how about we have another date?" she asked, hugging the green-haired boy's arm. "Last time I had a lot of fun." She smiled tenderly.
"Sure Himiko, do you have any idea?" Izuku patted his girlfriend's head.
"Nope, you're supposed to think about that," the girl pouted.
"Why is that? Last time it was my idea," the boy defended himself.
"I want you to surprise me," Himiko explained, "it's more interesting that way."
"Hmm... Alright, I don't know what kind of sorcery you used, but it worked," Izuku said with a soft laugh.
"I call it feminine charm," Toga grumbled.
Thus, at the end of the movie, Izuku decided that the date would be at an amusement park. Due to the cold, ice formed very easily, therefore, the fairs would be closed until summer. But for these vampires that was no problem.
"We've arrived Himiko," Izuku announced very happily, "welcome to Australia."
Being in another hemisphere, instead of winter, it was summer, so the beaches and many other attractions were open. Izuku decided on Australia as it was likely that they would still be looking for him in South America and he didn't want to ruin his hero career.
The boy wasn't sure where in Australia he was, but conveniently, there was an amusement park in sight, about 100 meters away. After exchanging yens for Australian dollars, the two made their way to the fair and lined up at the entrance.
A few minutes later, they paid for their ticket and got on the first ride, the bumper cars.
"Alright Himiko, remember not to use your Quirk," Izuku warned.
Recently, the vampiress had started creating illusions, in fact, she accidentally used an illusion on Mina shortly before Izuku returned from Brazil. She made the poor girl believe that her classmates were government agents who wanted to experiment on her for being an alien.
"I know, I know, Izu," the blonde rolled her eyes, "I don't want to make someone else go to therapy," she added quietly.
"I know, I'm just reminding you precisely so it doesn't happen," Izuku smiled.
After having a fun time, they decided to go to the most extreme ride there was, the roller coaster. When they were in line, Izuku felt something weird in the air, a tug from the shadows he uses to get around.
"Himiko, did you feel that?" Izuku asked looking around.
"Yes, what is that?" The girl was alert.
"It felt like when you, Alucard or Seras-"
The green-haired teen crouched down quickly, seeing some small balls pass where his head used to be, after a second, there were small explosions where the spheres fell.
"Wha-?" Himiko now had to dodge the same balls, but they exploded in the air with force, killing several people who were in the queue.
Many people began to scream and call out for heroes, while more of the explosives fell around the vampires, killing more people.
"Well Midna, it looks like we're in for a villain's attack." Izuku transformed his casual clothes into his hero outfit.
"It seems so Nosferatu." Toga also changed her casual outfit for her costume.
"Who would have thought it? There really are two vampire heroes," said a male voice with sarcasm, it came from everywhere, just like Izuku sometimes did.
"How do you know that?" Izuku and Himiko were looking for the origin of that voice.
"I'm just like you." Finally, the voice had a physical body. This was a man, about 30 years old, blond, with light skin and brown eyes, he was wearing a soldier's uniform. He also carried a rocket launcher on his back, on his waist he had several pockets, from which he had just taken out some explosives, before launching them against the other vampires.
"Who are you?" the girl asked, drawing a huge knife after dodging the explosions.
"Why are you attacking us?" Izuku asked, taking out the Casull.
Fuck, he thought, I really need to ask Mei for my gun.
"Let me introduce myself," answered the enemy, "I am Lieutenant Frederick Stahl, from the vanguard of the Letzte Bataillon, commanded by the Major," he saluted.
"Whose what?" Himiko asked, partly because she didn't really understand and partly because she wanted to spite him.
"I'm a Nazi vampire," Frederick summed up with a roll of his eyes.
"Ahhh," Izuku said, "Alucard told me about you guys, but he said he had destroyed you." He smiled in a macabre way.
"What he destroyed was a prototype, the Major just wanted to prove his theory."
"I see, then we'll destroy you once and for all," Himiko smiled before throwing her knife at the Nazi. However, the other vampire opened a portal of shadows and the knife came out through another portal, barely being caught by her.
"Ok, that's new," Izuku admitted interestedly, "you were supposed to be artificial vampires, you barely even got close to a real vampire."
"What part of prototype don't you understand?" Frederick disappeared and shortly after an explosion blew Izuku's head off. "I'm better than all those failed projects."
"No one can make my Izu bleed except me!" Toga yelled, before entering a portal and piercing the Nazi's heart with her knife.
"Hmm... that was very easy," Izuku said hesitantly after regenerating his head.
"Nah, he was just very weak," Himiko said before licking the blood off the knife and transforming into Frederick. As soon as she did, her eyes widened. "Izu!"
At the scream, Izuku looked at his girlfriend, but then an explosion split her in half. The green-haired teen was furious and looked for the other vampire. He felt a tug from the shadows again and watched as Frederick opened a portal, sticking his arm out to fling the explosives. Quickly, he tore off his arm and threw the bombs back into the portal.
Seconds later, a gasping Nazi emerged from a doorway; Himiko, who was already regenerated and still transformed, launched the same explosives as Frederick at him. The Nazi vampire dodged the explosives and unslung his rocket launcher from his back, then aimed it at Toga. But before he fired, he received a powerful kick from Izuku to the head, shattering his skull. Even so, the body moved on its own and a rocket hit the green-haired vampire.
Himiko thought that the Nazi would reload her weapon, but the body that was still regenerating its head immediately fired at her. The girl didn't have time to dodge so she entered a portal. Upon entering she noticed that this one was a bit different than the dark dimension they normally used for transportation.
This dimension was transparent and seemed to be a room within the dark dimension, Himiko looked around, and saw Frederick's head intact, but it seemed to be disappearing little by little. The girl noticed that the missing parts were parts that were already regenerated in the normal dimension.
So that's your secret, the heroine thought before smashing the Nazi's head with her baton and then leaving that dimension.
Upon returning, she found Frederick lying on the ground, not moving, so Himiko quickly threw herself at him and bit his neck, sucking out all his blood as the Nazi screamed in agony and burned in green flames.
"Normally I would torture him for information," Izuku commented with a raised eyebrow, "why the rush Himiko?"
The girl didn't respond until a few seconds later, having absorbed Frederick's soul and memories.
"If I didn't take his soul right then, he probably would have known I know his secret and it would have been a lot harder," Toga explained, transformed back into her, as she wiped away the blood. "He was at the same time in this dimension and in a pocket dimension within the dark dimension, as long as he was in both, he couldn't die, every time he took damage, that damage went back to the other dimension and healed, then little by little that regeneration came back here."
"I see, it was a fake shadow transport, and he really was in that dimensional pocket," Izuku summed up. "You did the right thing dear and now you have one more soul and it's quite strong," he added.
"At least I have that, since this idiot," Himiko looked at the pile of ashes, "ruined our second date."
"Don't worry about that, I'll make it up to you later," Izuku smiled, "I'm glad you didn't die, I was worried because you don't have more than 10 souls for now," he commented.
After that, Izuku opened a portal to his home andthey both entered. Without knowing it, someone else also opened a portal andleft in an unknown direction, he had to tell the doctor that some adjustmentswould be necessary.
