CH 21

C21: Princess!

Count Piazon’s daughter threatened me, but she hadn’t punished me, so she was probably just trying to satisfy her self-esteem or she was one of those people who take pleasure in torturing people.

I looked over at the princess and noticed that the group of greeters had dwindled. The aristocrats in line in front of me made exaggerated gestures with smirking faces and slightly bouncy voices, and then spat out some rude lines and walked back into the hall.

Oh, man. I can’t believe I’m going to do that. I wonder if I can do it right.

I turned my head down and practiced it over and over in my mind. I walked about five degrees down the line and looked up to see the faces of the noblemen and princesses lined up in front of me.

If I look closely at the princess, I can see that she has silky blonde hair, long eyelashes, a clear nose, and red, shapely lips that are so cute…….Huh? Déjà vu?

At that moment, the princess and I locked eyes. She stood up with a clatter and a twinkle in her eye.

“Are you all right, Princess?”

The guards gather around the princess. The princess says, “It’s nothing!”And soothes the guards, but they aren’t leaving.

“Hey! What the hell did you do?”

A guard calls out to the nobleman standing in line in front of me.

“I didn’t do anything!”

“Answers are useless!”

The previous nobleman was carried away by the guards and taken away.

Let’s take advantage of this mess and get out of here. Farewell! I quickly blended in with the crowd.

Haha……I can’t believe the princess is Alice. I thought she was an aristocrat, but a princess? I admire the magic of fried food that makes such a princess go out of her castle to eat it. I’ll have to get Macbeth to buy some for me next time so I don’t get emotional.

I felt the emotion already welling up in me, but I shook my head at it and pretended it wasn’t there.

From a distance, the princess seemed to have finished clearing up the misunderstanding of the guards. She looked relieved, and then looked around in astonishment.

She’s right……
