Chapter Eight|| What the Fuck, Sawyer
Sam
"I like her, she's actually pretty hot despite the whole hair situation. I might just take her for myself."
Coen's words rang through my head and I clenched the steering wheel.
Of course he had said it intentionally, he knew I was somehow connected to her.
I couldn't let her get involved in this, I wouldn't even wish it on my worst enemy.
"What did you need us to talk about?" Sawyer asked as she tapped her fingers in sync to the music on the radio.
I looked at her for a second.
I mean, I wasn't in love for her but God was she beautiful. She had these big blue eyes that stared you down and her body kept haunting my dreams.
Had she not been dressed as a boy at school, many tools would be after her at the moment.
"Sam?"
I blinked a couple of times and stared at the pavemented road. "I need you to watch who you get involved with," I answered.
"What the fuck are you going on about?" She asked as she twisted her body towards my direction.
"Look, I work with these bad people and-"
"Is it ISIS?" She quickly cut off.
"No."
"The Taliban?"
"Will you let me talk," I hissed at her.
"The illuminati?"
"Yes," I sighed, "it's the illuminati."
Her eyes widened and she sat up straight. "Really?" She cried out.
"No, what the fuck, Sawyer."
Her face fell and she crossed her arms immediately.
I made a turn, I didn't know where I was heading, I was just driving around. "I work with some bad people," I started again, "I don't want you getting mixed up with any if those just because I know one of your stupid secrets."
She nodded and switched the radio, almost as if she was in her own little world.
I stopped the car and turned her chin towards me. "I need you to listen, Collins because if something happens to you, I won't be held responsible."
"What a gentlemen," she scoffed but she didn't move out of my grasp, and I didn't take my hand off her chin either.
"I'm being serious," I growled at her and I hadn't noticed our proximity until now.
To others it might've looked like we were a happy couple about to kiss in my parked car, when actually, I was seconds from bashing her head into the dashboard.
"I'm being serious," she mocked in a deep voice and then giggled.
My blood started to boil and I brought her even closer to me and whispered, "I swear to God, Sawyer, I'm not fucking kidding. I don't want you to end up dead in a ditch somewhere."
She smiled at me. "Aw, you care about me."
And I don't know if it was the frustration or anger towards her, or the fact that I hadn't gotten laid in a week, but I kissed her.
The smile soon left her face and she stayed frozen, but I didn't care.
I could taste her strawberry chapstick and her soft lips made me feel like I'd never kissed anyone before.
She started kissing me back and she ran her hands through my hair, something I had been yearning for a while now.
Then I woke up.
I groaned and stuffed my face in my pillow, realizing it was around midnight.
I remember talking to Sawyer earlier that day, telling her to watch out for mysterious people. Then I drove her home.
The kiss hadn't really happened, but the intensity of my dream had me wondering how she tasted.
You're just horny, Sam, you want nothing to do with her.
Yeah, I hope so.

Sawyer
"Hey."
I turned from my locker and caught sight of this really pretty girl, she seemed pretty cool.
"I see you haven't made much friends-"
Ugh, never mind, if she's just going to point out how antisocial my ass is then she can suck a dick.
"-And I just wanted to come over and introduce myself. My name's Julie, nice to meet you."
Oh, hey, that turned out great.
"Hey, I'm Sawyer," I smiled back at her.
She hooked her arm with mine and started walking down the halls. "So, rumor has it that you're gay and I couldn't help but notice that you keep hanging out with Sam Beckham who, by the way, doesn't let anyone who doesn't have a hot bod and a vagina near him."
I raised my eyebrow at her. "So?"
She sighed as if it were so obvious. "Are you guys having a-" she looked around, "-Gay relationship?"
Okay, first of all, who is this bitch and why the fuck is she asking me about my non-existent gay relationship with Sam?
"Not to be rude or anything but are you fucking stupid?" I blurted out. I was so used to swearing and insulting everyone that I had no filter anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if Julie bitch slapped me into another universe.
"Excuse me?" She scoffed, obviously offended.
"Excuse you? Excuse me, bitch, you're the one who came at me asking about my personal life in the thirty seconds of meeting me," I ranted, but she didn't show any sign that she was going to rip her arm away from mine anytime soon.
"Oh, I'm so sorry!" She cried out, "I was just curious, I didn't mean to me rude!"
This is one fake ass bitch.
"You're in love with Sam, aren't you?" I asked plainly.
She raised an eyebrow at me and puckered her lips. "Yep."
"Well, I asure you that I'm not gay and that neither is Sam, we're just two guys having fun."
She smiled big and let go of my hand. "Splendid, if I ever see you looking at my Sammy the wrong way, I'll end you."
"Bitch, he doesn't like dick," I stressed, "How fucking insecure are you?"
She blew air out of her nose and stood up straight.
"Act natural," she whispered.
I furrowed my eyebrows. "What type of fucking medication are you-"
"Hey, Sawyer," Sam greeted as he halted right next to Julie and me.
"Hey, Sam," Julie cut in, "You didn't call me back after that night."
She emphasized the word night, as if I gave a fuck about whatever they did.
"I'm sorry, Olivia, a lot of things came up and I just didn't have the time."
Julie's left eye twitched but she maintained her smile. "My name is Julie," she said, trying to keep it casual. You could tell she was moments from losing her cool though.
Wow, were all these hoes crazy?
"Right. . ." Sam trailed off awkwardly, "I'll see you later I guess."
Julie smiled and nodded her head. "I guess you will."
Julie turned go me once Sam had left. "See, he's obviously in love with me."
I nodded my head and winced. "Yeah, he sure is. If you don't mind, I have to get home and water the. . . dishes or some shit."
I bolted before she got a chance to open her mouth.
I caught sight of Nick on my way out with a couple of his friends and smiled at him. He smiled back and called me over.
"Let me take you home," he said as he walked towards me.
My mouth went dry as I realized that if Nick found out where I live, he'd know all about my secret.
"No thanks, man, I live a few blocks away from here anyway," I lied.
"I'm serious, I noticed you haven't made much friends and I want you to meet some of my buddies," he explained as he pointed to a group of guys behind him.
Fuck you, Nick.
"I've already made a friend, her name is Julie," I said and tried my best not to burst out into laughter from her ratchet name.
"Oh, whatever you do, don't fuck her. She gets too emotionally invested."
Yeah, no shit.
"Anyways, about that ride. . . " he trailed off.
"I've got plans," I said while I tried to smile.
"With?" He asked as he raised an eyebrow.
Shit, Sawyer, you have no friends. Who the fuck would want to be seen with your ass?
"Sam," I blurted out, "yeah, we're going to watch a movie and. . . You know, catch some hoes."
I had no idea what guys did with their free time.
He chuckled and patted my back. "Then I'll see you at the party? Sam told me he was taking someone but I hadn't realizer it was you! That's amazing, see you later, man."
"Ha, yeah, bye," I said.
Fuck my ass.
