CH 34

As minutes and seconds slipped by, Lin Sifei finished taking her temper out on the stockings and resumed her splayed out position on the floor.

Luo Ke, worried, knelt on the floor, one knee down, asking, “What’s the matter?”

As she was tilting her downwards, asking, a “poof” sound occurred again, and as the mist first surrounded them and then retreated, Lin Sifei was left as a human.

As she lifted her head up, she immediately bumped into Luo Ke’s face.

“Aya!” Lin Sifei hugged her head, pouting and complaining, “Why are you so close to me, that hurt.”

Luo Ke also momentarily had her hands fly to her head, and as she lifted her hand, a red bump could be seen. “Why are you complaining about me now, I was also worried for you?”

As she rubbed her forehead, Luo Ke glanced at Lin Sifei, also with a slight complaint.

Lin Sifei clapped her hands together and bowed at her waist, apologetic, “Sorry!”

As Luo Ke stood up, she glanced at the time, “Time’s almost up, turn back into a cat and we’ll deal with the rest after we get out of here.”

Lin Sifei obediently turned back into a cat and leapt onto Luo Ke, silently curling up in her arms. After Luo Ke finished organizing their messy clothes, she opened the door.

She wanted to know how Lin Sifei had mastered the technique to change between the two forms, and was in a hurry to leave the place, but was stopped by a waiter in the lobby.

“Hello, Ms. Luo, this is the cat meal our boss ordered especially for your cat. It is all fresh meat, so the cat can have it after you return home.”

Lin Sifei immediately lifted her head, staring at the waiter. What was up with this Manager Fang? Wasn’t Luo Ke firm with her denial? And he’s still doing this type of thing to show his affection, how annoying.

And he was so keen to use her, the cat, as an excuse to advance on Luo Ke, but thankfully, Luo Ke would not fall for this trap!

And then she watched Luo Ke take the takeout box.

Lin Sifei’s eyes widened, and her mouth dropped. She used her claws to hook Luo Ke’s clothes, meowing.

Luo Ke lowered her head to glance at Lin Sifei: “I’ll allow you to eat it after we get back.”

Food, food, food, she wasn’t only a foodhead!

Lin Sifei put her paws over her head, silently annoyed.

After they got home, Luo Ke placed the food into some plates, and placed the plates on the table, “Okay, you can turn back into a human, we can talk while we eat.”

Lin Sifei turned back into a human, put on some clothes, but sat at the table silently, face dark.

Luo Ke smiled, looking at her, “You are finally able to turn into both of your forms freely, why are you still sporting that unhappy look?”

Lin Sifei stared at her, asking, “That Manager Fang… What is your relationship? He seemed very agreeable to you, allowing you to use the private room, and giving us free food.”

“He did confess to me but I denied him.” Luo Ke thought about it, smiling, “He’s Bai Xingrui’s friend, and also likes to raise cats, dogs and other pets. I met him because of Bai Xingrui, and we really haven’t met much, and then I turned down his confession.”

“Looking at how he acted, it seems like he still hasn’t let go of you.

Luo Ke raised an eyebrow, “Why do I think that your tone is really passive-aggressive.”

Lin Sifei rolled her eyes, “Didn’t we say that we can try? But then your relationships seem weird right now. Let me be frank, I am picky with my relationships, okay.”

“What are you thinking about?” Luo Ke used her chopsticks to lightly tap on her head. “That Fang Jin was actually really thinking about you. He’s a really big cat lover and cat servant, really, so that’s why his restaurant has an entire cat menu. Didn’t you see me carrying you in front every time, and also, you love using your big eyes to stare at people, so he would of course help. All of these dishes from him were specially prepared for you.”

Lin Sifei slowly picked up her chopsticks, “Really?”

“Really,” Luo Ke placed a slice of fish on her plate, “Eat.”

Lin Sifei immediately brightened up, and happily placed a piece of fish in her mouth, eyes becoming a line with happiness, “Em~ It’s got a good flavor, so I guess I can totally forgive him on the basis that he loves cats.”

“You were originally going a bit overboard, so you really don’t need to say that you’re forgiving him,” Luo Ke muttered, but after she noticed her cat’s lethal glare, she exasperatedly shook her head and said, “Don’t just think about food, how did you figure out how you can change forms freely?”

Lin Sifei raised her head as she swallowed the piece of meat in her mouth, “You did mention a 12 hour system. After being human for 12 hours, I will become a cat again, and then act as a cat for 12 hours. I was thinking of how similar this was to charging a phone, since on set, I will need to be human for a longer period of time. So on set, I’ll just be careful to not let my battery run out and change back into a cat before the 12 hour mark to continue charging, so like this I can control when and where I become human. This will help immensely for shooting.”

When Luo Ke heard that, she let her gaze drop as she thought, “The film is only in its role of choosing stages after all, so we can test this if you stay as a human for 12 hours.”

“Mhmm.” As her mouth was full of food, Lin Sifei nodded.

At night, when the two of them lay on bed, both of their phones had 5 alarms, to prevent them from oversleeping.

“Sleep early, hopefully we can get up an hour earlier.”

“Two hours earlier.”

Lin Sifei shifted her head to look at Luo Ke, “I can’t get up that early.”

Lin Ke took in a deep breath, “You sleep, I can get up.”

Lin Sifei smiled, exposing her pearly teeth, “Luo Ke, you’re the best, I’ll sleep then. Good night.”

Luo Ke looked at her, and then smiled towards the ceiling, and also closed her eyes.

In the morning, when Luo Ke opened her eyes, she first looked at the time on her phone. Her first alarm had not gone off yet. As she rubbed her eyes and sat up, she killed off all of the alarms, and then sat at the edge of the bed, watching Lin Sifei. She brought her computer over, looking over documents.

As time slipped past, Lin Sifei turned, still asleep. Luo Ke looked at her, believing that she was awake, so she observed her face.

Lin Sifei’s eyebrows and mouth moved, while her leg shifted to rest on Luo Ke’s body.

Luo Ke nodded her head, exasperated but fond, and continued to deal with work documents. However, Lin Sifei’s arms and hands also found themselves draped over Luo Ke. Although Luo Ke wanted to pull all of the limbs off of her, Lin Sifei made pouting noises every time she tried to do so, as if she was about to cry, and snuggled her head next to her stomach.

“Xiaoxiao, Feifei, time to get up.”

“En~” Lin Sifei kicked out her legs, and continued to sleep.

Luo Ke sighed, got out her phone, and set the alarm to one minute after present time, and placed the phone near Lin Sifei’s ear. Soon after, the phone started to vibrate with the alarm.

Lin Sifei immediately sat up, “Am I still human? Human?”

Lin Sifei’s hands roamed over her own body, head, neck, chest. As she did so, she let out a long breath, “Yes, still human.”

“Maybe not.” Luo Ke shifted her legs.

Lin Sifei looked down, and seeing her own legs over Luo Ke’s in such fashion, immediately pulled her legs back, “Heheh, accident.”

Lin Sifei completely sat straight and scratched at her hair, “What time is it?”

“It’s half to seven, we can wait.”

As they had expected, at 7:15 am, Lin Sifei became a cat with another “poof”. She licked her lips, then lifted her paws to high five Luo Ke.”

Next, we can run a test to see if the charging time when you are a cat before your 12 hours as a human is up does indeed extend your time as a human later.”

Lin Sifei nodded, focused. When she was a cat in the daytime, she focused on picking out outstanding actors. Regarding the script, she also received replies, and ultimately, she picked the one that focused on the plot more, not the actors.

She typed out her thoughts for Luo Ke, [These actors seem very suitable, but let’s still hold an audition. We do have a famous director, though, so it should be very easy.]

Luo Ke nodded, working hard to contact the director.

As night fell, Lin Sifei failed to turn back into her human form by herself, so she could only inch in front of Luo Ke and raise her paw to pat her mouth.

Luo Ke sighed, squatting down, “You just used your paw to pat yourself just now, can I disinfect you before I kiss?”

Regarding me with disdain! Lin Sifei, without further prompt, let her claws slide out, pointing towards Luo Ke’s face.

Luo Ke sat down cross legged, crossing her arms in front of her chest, “Aren’t you a little violent towards me?”

Lin Sifei glared at her.

“You are so menacing, and also unreasonably throw temper tantrums. I help you, and you don’t act gratefully back, so in any case, I’m on the deficit side. I did say that I don’t ever do business that ends with a deficit.”

Lin Sifei squinted her eyes, and then bunched her hind legs to jump, leaping into the air.

As two lips met, a beautiful woman appeared. Lin Sifei smiled, circling Luo Ke’s neck with her arms.

“With me as your girlfriend, aren’t you profiting a lot? En?”

Her left eye winked as she left a faint kiss on Luo Ke’s lips.
