âI donât want anything to do with Bradley anymore,â Esther stated firmly.
Considering the information he had gathered earlier, Oliver asked Esther in a serious tone, â Esther, did you remove Mr. Thomasâ oxygen mask?â
âAbsolutely not!â Esther quickly denied it. She had no intention of hiding anything from Oliver and grimaced as she recounted the events that had taken place.
âIt was Liliane who personally removed Grandpa Thomasâ oxygen mask. I arrived just in time to witness it and attempted to put it back on, but then the doctor entered the room and caught me. Uncle Oliver, I swear as a mother that I never harmed Grandpa Thomas.â
Upon hearing Estherâs explanation, Oliver affirmed, âI believe you.â
That video had portrayed Esther as a despicable woman. Everyone deemed her ungrateful and believed she had committed a heinous act. Her explanations were dismissed as mere arguments, and no one believed in her innocence.
Estherâs eyes welled up with tears as she asked hesitantly. âUncle Oliver, do you truly believe me?â
Oliver replied with reason, âOf course I believe you.â
In fact, Oliver had thoroughly investigated the entire process of Estherâs conviction. A video. clip had made her the target of public criticism. Bradley suspected Esther of having an affair, but the truth was that she had never been unfaithful, and her unborn children belonged to Bradley.
Unfortunately, under those circumstances, no one believed in her innocence. Even now, Bradley continued to attack her, knowing that the children she carried were his.
âThank you, Uncle Oliver,â Esther expressed gratefully.
Esther believed that if her uncle had been present back then, she wouldnât have had to endure five unjust years in prison and wouldnât have been separated from her child for such a long.
time.
âYou can take Felix abroad. I will clear your name,â Oliver declared.
Esther took a deep breath and lightly bit her lip. âUncle Oliver, I actually know that Liliane was behind that incident, but I donât know how to gather evidence.â
Oliver stood up gracefully and gazed at the distant sea. Speaking in a warm tone, he assured her, âI will find the evidence, Esther. Go abroad and find Pixie without worries. Trust me. You will soon regain your innocence.â
âBut the procedures for me to go abroadâ¦â
Oliver handed two passports to Esther. His voice resonated like a mellow cello. âYou and Felix can fly abroad whenever you are ready.â
Esther still had some concerns. âI am mainly worried that if I go abroad, Bradley will-
âYou donât have to worry,â Oliver interrupted her. His gaze was profound, and his expression turned cold.
The Quills had already launched a full-scale attack against the Warner Group. Within 24 hours, Bradley would be too occupied defending his company to bother Esther any longer.
âThank you, Uncle Oliver.â Esther couldnât wait to find Pixie, so she called out, âFelix.â
Felix rushed over and embraced Esther tightly. Looking up with his adorable face, he affectionately called out, âMommy
