Benz stopped the woman again.

“Don’t force me to get rough! Got it?” Benz swung his fist, brushing past the woman’s face, and landed it on the roof of the Citroen, leaving a deep dent.

The woman was frightened, her face turning pale, and she stammered, “Y-You… Hitting someone is illegal!”

Benz was cocky. “Take a guess. Do you think I’ll go to prison if I beat you to death? Hmm?”

“For money?” Benz asked.

The woman pushed Benz away and said weakly, “Move. Let me show you on my phone.”

Benz stepped back and watched the woman take out her phone from the car. She quickly found the post on social media where Bradley had offered a huge reward for finding his wife.

“She’s married to him, and he posted this sky-high reward. I’ve been following her to get this bounty.

Do you understand now?”

Benz scrolled through the phone and quickly learned about Esther’s staged death and escape from the netizens’ comments.

“She’d rather fake her death to escape from this man, yet you’re providing him with her information.

Don’t you know that your actions put her in danger?”

The woman nonchalantly replied, “Mr. Warner’s handsome and rich. Why would she want to run away?

What’s she up to?”

She then looked Benz up and down, curiously asking, “You care so much about her. Could it be that you…”

Benz deleted all the photos the woman had taken of Esther without saying a word.

Benz said, “If you dare to send Esther’s information to Mr. Warner, I’ll arrange for someone to kindly take care of your daughter.”

Benz’s threat made the woman uneasy. She snatched the phone back from him and muttered a curse before driving away.

Benz watched the car disappear into the distance, then sent Esther a warning text.

After returning to the castle, Esther let Sunshine and Felix play by themselves. She then dealt with the unread messages on her phone and informed Anna about the good news of finding Pixie.

She tapped on Bradley’s number once she was done but hesitated and could not make the call. The time when Bradley had imprisoned her had become her eternal nightmare. She could not face this nightmare alone. At the same time, she had no idea what kind of humiliation Bradley would subject her to once he found out about Pixie’s whereabouts.

Knowing Bradley as she did, he might use this as an opportunity to force her to return to the country.
